  6. I agree with excelence, but as a johnny player i should say that its better to block him low not high. Johnny has only 1 overhead, his 5D and if u take into account TK ensenga that makes them 2, not big deal. Also his fS misses very often vs crouching opponents (but if u get hit at crouching state get ready for a mad combo :P ). His high low mixup mostly come out of K or cS ex. K, ensenga/2D or 2K,cS, ensenga/2D. Keep in mind that 2D can leed to many options like free coin, mist, or even combo for like 200 more or less dmg vs Dizzy's defence.
  7. Sol's 2D vs johnny works wonderszszszsz!!! You can avoid almost everything Johnny has and going into a combo... Grand viper seems to be very anoying also cause even if u predict it coming it is very hard to interrupt it. Of course you can block it and punish very hard but most ppl RC it to avoid the punishment. GV also beats everything that comes from air except divine blade (beats jHS, jK, KJ) which means free combo if Clean hit landed. I dissagree about Sol not having anti-airs and i should say that he has the best anti-airs of the game... VV, K, GV (from personal experience i can ensure it works wonders), 6P leading to combo and even 6HS sometimes.

Now i agree with u :P But i saw before things like "6HS is made to kill OS" and such and i though that i missing something about this move ;p I know about that 6HS combo u mentioned but that can happen very rarelly (proper height needed). The best thing it could happen for a johnny is an air CH 6HS/HS then u can do whatever u want, thats what i aim for. OS's jump goes above 6HS so jHS will kill johnny. Same goes for teching i think and thats what i personally fear. Although vs Raziel's OS rushdown i didnt have much of a choice :P I've played tones of matches vs my friends Sol (badguy not OS :P ) and i found his 2D to be my worst nightmare. It went below my coins and it could only be stopped with JO 2S (went below fS, HS, 6HS,K) or just baited to gain the upper hand. I guess it would be the same with OS wont it?
  9. I know what a tech trap is but again i fail to see how Johnny can tech trap u with 6HS. About the whiff recovery i knew i was wrong but since i dont know how to calculate it i just made a guess. Of course im not here to pretend a pro player, but to learn for myself and if i can, help others. I play with both JO and OS but i have only vs OS experience ;/
  10. Well i dont understand why 6HS is such a problem for OS.. how can he tech trap u? Also lvl1 MF P doesnt leed to combo (lvl2 and lvl3 do). If JO is taken to the corner i believe it is death for him. His only good option at preasure is 2HS (excluding DA of course). Johnny also doesnt have any above head anti-air move making things even more difficult at corner. 6HS is good when used from a big distance and is always sure to hit cause of its 18 frames startup and the -15 frames if it misses. Again if u expect it u can 2D it.

  12. coin dash, jump is kinda hard to do to avoid hammerfall cause it comes right after your last hit in gatling (mostly HS). MCing is the most effective solution for that. I thing i find a slight similarity with Baiken's reversals here (MC works).
  13. I think i mentioned some things about that above. Well personally i try to do short gatlings like k,HS to MC then react to Pot's movements (if he does hammerfall) and after that punishing hammerfall or continue my attacks with another short gatling etc. Also i found very useful the K,cS, dash throw setup. Maybe it was just my friends that were focusing to see HS coming at a gatling and then hammerfall..
  14. Well im working on many combos from that vid to and generally im getting very inspired from that vid. Currently practicing on MF-K lv2, coin, dash HS MCJH, 2D, Mist. I find the HS MCJH part to be hard but i need more practice on that. Also it doesnt work on everybody (second hit of 2D whiffs) for ex. Slayer. Im amazed that it works very good vs Sol/OS and lets u at the right distance for 3HS. After some training on that i will search for combos that end in MF-K lvl2 (enkasu works good here) In the "What the hell is going on" lyric part i died laughing cause i really didnt know... what the hell was going on :P
  15. When i plan to hit someone with jS while on ground i dj afterwards. Also i have a bad habit to IADing which imo doesnt help Johnny at all (except if u IAD backwards). Its also a bit hard to hit confirm on one hit only. I sometimes do the ensega motion after a random jS. Then again here comes again heavenly pot buster. I actually dont know how to bait it. Im not even sure if u can bait it :P
  16. Yes thats what i do (2S, HS) and generally short gatlings. After heavenly pot buster his jD solves many problems. Then again u can bait jD to just get the upper hand. Also ensega after jS on block is like suicide imo if not RCed ;s Actually i prefer this matchup more than others :P
  17. Personally i find big trouble Pot's Hammer fall (funny thing while searching for the move's name at gamefaqs i saw this "NOTE: This move absorbs one hit. Yay for autogaurd. So if a Johnny player throws out a Mist Finer, you will eat the attack and then smack him."). The real problem is not while throwing a MF but when throwing coins cause the coin hits him but no MF lvl up. You can actually interrupt him after the coin but i and most ppl i see use to dash after throwing a coin and are getting hit. The best solution i could have was doing short gatlings into MC then react to Pot and start attaking again in order to avoid Hammer fall and punish him after that. edit: 4r5 got me in speed. So when i used jS as main poke the pot players did heavenly pot buster (the overdrive buster) and grabbed me everytime. Strange thing it is, most pot players focus very much at pot buster or Giganter at their wake up so i found Divine Blade working wonders (super jump front DB to avoid the mirror thing)
  18. Just how does Johnny prevent u from charging? Isnt BHB AC FRC a sure way for building charge bar? (not vs Johnny but vs anyone)
  19. I use coin as anti-air many times, it catches everyones IAD so i like it. Also Bandit Bringer (Sol's 236[K]) goes above the coin in most cases.

  21. I ment GG is the best of 2d fighting games and SC of 3rd ones. Mitsurugi is right and i dont like me beeing off topic in important topics so ill delete my posts when this thread finds its order ;p

  24. and u actually should continue to dislike it :P What about tekken tag? I find the difficulty the same ;p Also from T5 and on Howrang has wave dash. To the point i can do a double dash with pad (i dont think u can call it wavedashing) ,but its really not effective doing more than that since u will have to treat your fingers after that ^^. Im playing with stick for a month and i can actually use this to my gameplay (of course need more practice)
