i really think you should have included something stating how good backdashes are in arcsys games. startup invincibility, vastly different distances and speeds, using it as both a defensive and offensive tool, etc.

i had a dualshock 1 last like two years. after that one died, i swear that at least one pad died per month after that. nostalgiafag/pads really were made better in the old days. the actual d-pad on a ds1 feels so much better than a ds2/3, even after it gets worn way down from constant use. speaking in terms of gg, i find that pad will do just fine for most characters. if you want to play Eddie, a charge character, or I-no, i'd suggest you get a good stick. obviously there will be some exceptions to this (Latif, Blacksnake, etc), but those kinds of characters are just much more suited to stick. i tried for a good 4-5 months to switch to stick with order sol, but no matter what i tried it all felt wrong. 669 motions, sj.iad's, sji's, and even simple dp's all felt really clunky. i went back to pad after i realized how stupid it was to HURT MY GAME BY SWITCHING TO STICK. i don't feel like devoting a year to practicing sj.iad's (a motion that is truly ESSENTIAL to order sol) before being able to use a stick. that kind of shit just didn't fly with me and i went back to what was the most comfortable for me. now that i'm playing slayer though, i kind of do want to give stick another shot. although i can do 5K, DoT in both directions now, other things like fdc bite or bdc DoT just feel way too hard on pad. but once again i'm dreading learning to iad. at least slayer's iads are a bit easier to land than hos's.

i could only get iad back K combos to work in the corner. and only on heavyweights/really big characters. it's good for baiting bursts, but j.Dx3 adH still does quite a bit more damage. but that combo is hella inconsistent on lightweights, so i found something else. ba/br/ma 5D, j.D, dj.H, j.2K, j.H, 6H, 5H, iadK, j.K, 5H, adD, j.2K, j.K, 5H, iadD di 5D, j.D, dj.H, j.2K, j.H, 5H, delay j.D, j.2K, j.K, dj.H, j.K, 5H, adD, j.2K, j.K, 5H iadD mi/di 5D, j.D, dj.H, j.2K, j.H, [5H, max delay sj.H, j.D, j.2K, j.K, 5H, adD, j.2k, j.K, 5H iadD] the first j.2K whiffs in all of these, btw. these should work midscreen, too. i can actually do midscreen ids now that mac told me that i should be doing them as a super jump instead of a double jump. much more consistent now. i really wish i had found out about that earlier when i was playing hos. i always scrapped midscreen 5D because regular dust combos suck and i couldn't do id into full dustloop midscreen. also, i told mac about that combo in brackets the other week and he didn't seem to know about it. most practical high damage lightweight bnb plus it looks awesome. works on a couple other characters like slayer and faust. and that first dizzy combo after the id will work on a lot of characters in a lot of situations. basically anytime you hit someone with a mid to max height 5H you can do it on pretty much anyone but the Kys and ABA. on characters like venom and eddie, you usually have to replace the dj.H with S, but i think it's only for those two iirc. random tidbit for the sols, super jump iadK, DELAY j.K, 5H works on both of them fairly consistently. the more you know. i love slayer so much. why'd i hop on the bandwagon so late?

seriously, Mac has taught me a hell of a lot about both Slayer and the game in general. what the fuck is wrong with having a dissenting opinion to yours? him and i definitely aren't trolling, we're just stating our opinion that this is an unnecessary idea.

i know you BB guys weren't around to see it, but what Mac said was what dustloop was like back in the day. a few years ago the size that avatars were allowed to be was drastically reduced and people could no longer put images in sigs. and you know what? dustloop still had barely any info, but at least it wasn't FLASHING ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE. srk premium is also a fucking joke. i don't want to see dustloop just turn into some retarded circlejerk while the REAL players (read as: the guys that actually spend all of their money playing the games) post even less than they do now.
