TVs for GG... qwerty, Rod, magz TVs for MBAA... Tone+YAT, DJcream, Tsubasa There will also be one TV and PS2 already at the venue.
-
its probably not updated on the original post but i've mirrored the prereg site elsewhere http://reconpoint.com/prereg please prereg asap as i'm compiling a list right now for our benefactor
-
@HappyHazmat: monitor? details on lag if there is any please!
-
on the bbq just bring whatever you want. i suggest stuff thats easy to cook (burgers, hot dogs) or stuff like chips. it would help a lot if people pitch in with food and drinks.
-
I dunno what the drink situation is honestly :D Update on extension cords: it seems like Tsubasa has one and he might be our savior and go grab a couple from Home Depot... if we're short then I'll try to secure them myself. On another note, I need to get to Hayward at 9am on Saturday to help set up and move stuff to make space... but I don't have a car and the Dumbarton Express doesn't run on weekends. Anyone want to go really early and grab me?! Otherwise I think I'll go spend the night in SF/SJ and take the BART myself early in the morning.

Hey it seems that we're only going to have table space for 5~6 TVs. If anyone could bring a table, it would be greatly appreciated. Our benefactor is already bringing an extra table but it's expensive to rent a truck to bring more. Also we could still use a couple of extension cords.
-
^ I need confirmation on setups. At this point I am assuming that we will have six TVs... but it is not confirmed. And yes, I need extension cords.
-
we'll still take people at the door given that we have enough space but you should prereg and enter the ranbat anyways! also more fools like magz need to prereg. you will have to pay the venue fee for just being there.
-
We'll be providing burgers, we're just gonna go to Food4Less or Costco or something. If you want something else like hot dogs, bring it!
-
OK we are nearing the weekend of the event finally but I need to know what the situation is on setups. Tell me what you can bring ASAP, we need the following. CRTs AKA FAT TELEVISIONS THAT DONT LAG, PS2s, copies of GGAC and MBAA, extension cords, power strips(aka surge protectors I guess) I don't know what the situation was on extension cords last time so this part is URGENT. The venue already has one TV and one american PS2 at the venue. People that can bring TV+PS2 afaik, needs confirmation. GGAC: qwerty, magz, ??? MBAA: Tone, DJcream, Tsubasa On how late we can stay, it seems that everything should be over by 9~10 so how many casuals you will be able to get in will depend on how many setups the community will be able to bring! We will have time for casuals but not as much as last time.
-
*to lessen the burden on me I was thinking about including setups in the prereg form but I was like eh... I could create a separate form for setups or just manually keep track of it. Good question on the closing time of the venue, that one keeps escaping me. I'll ask.
-
To address any possible downtime or inaccessibility issues with tsubasa.nu, I've mirrored the prereg form on another site. If you've already preregged, there's no need to prereg again so don't! http://reconpoint.com/prereg/

wtf is happening to this thread fools need to prereg man i didnt get any studying today fffff late hey i'm going to japan this summer, people who have been there need to get at me with their advice and experience! it would be much appreciated!

don't need to be a computer major to know anything about computers lol. then again i've been behind a computer since i was like 2. if all else fails i'll just reg for you, just pm me with what games you'll enter (gg and/or mb)
-
start+R > ipconfig /flushdns try again in a few minutes after you do that
-
Firefox shouldn't matter, sounds like a DNS error. Try ipconfig /flushdns
-
Tell me what exactly the problem is and I'll see what I can do (or I could reg for you) JP Astro City, Full Sanwa, Game to be decided, 3S or CvS2, free play Also @TaoFTW please take off PMing me as an option to register, I am terrible at checking multiple things at once (just look at how many times you've had to crosspost to SRK for me)
-
The cab will be on free play :3
-
EX DEERS yoyoyo here is my super ghetto but working prereg script. thanks to our benefactors for the flyer. http://www.tsubasa.nu/dakanya/prereg/ also @TaoFTW the venue fee will be $5 after 2pm not 5pm, so $4 before 2, $5 after More details... bring a sweater, it could get cold. We are going to leave the garage door open 'cause otherwise it's gonna be cramped and ventilation is good. We have to roll stuff outside anyways for space ie the bbq and table saw. Hope that it'll be warm and that it won't rain... but we'll BBQ anyways. Update on the Astro City cab: 3S is ver B right now and if we can't get ver A it's either no unblockables or we put in CvS2 instead.
-
Well I am only considering TVC for future ranbats, not the next one due to space issue... you can still bring it but there won't be a tournament for it and I don't want people coming just to play it this time, sorry
-
Working on prereg right now. Other games are hype, the problem is I don't want people coming just for the sake of playing those games due to the space issue. Casual stations for other games are welcome as long as we can accommodate and people aren't coming just to casual on those stations... which would take away from our space for tournament players. Of course casual stations for tournament games take priority. If people want casuals, they'll need to bring setups! I am interested in Tatsunoko vs Capcom but currently I am not aware of a scene in Norcal for it and I saw it at Burnt Toast but didn't find the time to spend more than 15 minutes talking to them. I am also interested in... acquiring the TvC scene to expand our event on the business side so we can expand. If you know anything about the situation in Norcal for the game, please share.

Pretty sure you won't get more than like 2 people to join it. Also since it could potentially involve inviting a significant number of players that aren't coming for GG/MB, I'm going to have to deny your Brawl side tournament since we will have a limit on how many people can come. We have a little leeway right now since we generally get low 30s but the max is 40, which is why we're going to have a pre-reg.

The place is called Lab 17, they make custom vinyl artwork and decals for cars. Apparently electricity at commercial places is expensive but food will be included in the venue price and it gives the owner incentive to open the place to us. The venue fee is pretty low and it's a lot lower than what we had to pay at Burnt Toast 2 ($7) which was a pretty underwhelming experience in the sense that no one brought setups 'cause apparently they had too many last time... so we only had one GGAC setup -_- I'll try to get in contact with someone who has a webserver and setup a prereg site. Actually I have a really ghetto idea in mind >:D
-
I could make a site... or I could be really ghetto and everyone could send me a PM on Dustloop?? :D EDIT: PMs don't sound bad either just because it takes out the dubious factor of authenticity out of the way...
