  1. Is it supposed to be an ultra tight microdash? I think I might be doing this wrong but they're teching out way too high to juggle with 5C. Works off N starter though. Doing Noir RC dash 5C works too (albeit only if you're right below them) so I'm guessing it just has to be really well timed.

  3. You're right. 6C 5C actually does combo off a short starter but not that far in. I actually can't make youir TK j.236C NM combo work either though. Who are you doing it on?
  4. Erm, yeah, I thought 5B was the one that didn't gatling. Also good to know that 236C still has some use. Will revise. Also IIRC the last combo does work, it's a bit tight though.
  5. What have we got for short starter confirms so far? Normal starters are pretty self-explanatory but S starters seem to prorate out pretty fast now.   6. Isn't LINE that Chinese app that my dad uses to send texts to my grandmother? Either way Skype would best since everyone seems to use that already. No need to install a different app for each character chat. Also, day 1 Extend impressions: - Teleport and B Crusade are FAST now. This isn't a "I heard it was like 2f faster so I've convinced myself that I can see it" deal, the difference is extremely noticeable. B Crusade looks almost exactly the same speed as C Crusade now, and even the "hard" links like B Crusade > teleport cancel > 5C is ridiculously easy now. - The 5C forward movement is very significant. It makes her NM confirms MUCH easier to pull off. - Noir Edge and Aegis Blade untech times got a massive buff. Aegis Blade is basically Jin's Rehhyou now, you can juggle off it easily without any cancels. It is possible to do stuff like NM 236B 214A 5C j.BAAC j.236C 5C 623C and not only will it all combo, you get knockdown. - Aegis Blade untech makes mode switch combos really easy, even midscreen. You can do 623C RC 5D etc. from pretty much anywhere. - j.C has a LOT of pushback now. I used to do dash j.C 5C 2C at midscreen in 1.1 and it would combo cleanly, now 2C doesn't even hit at all. - NM stock build is more consistent now (you're guaranteed at least 4 even off max range 5B thanks to B Crusade comboing) but it's harder to get oki ender midscreen or off a short starter without sacrificing stocks. On the plus side, NM damage potential is also a lot higher in corner, you can get 3.2k and 6 stocks with oki pretty easily off a corner normal starter. - It's pretty much impossible to drop Strike Fall > Phorizer now unless you manage to REALLY botch it or untech time simply doesn't allow it, thanks to Strike Fall having a mini groundbounce on hit. It actually looks kinda weird, it feels way more plus than before as a result.

  8. No, you've about got it. "xx" just means cancel, ~ usually refers to doing the listed input as part of the same series of inputs. So 236A~4A refers to doing 236A then the 4A followup, rather than 236A, recovering, then doing 4A which it might otherwise be misinterpreted as. So it should be 2C, cancel into 236A, then 4A web set, A again to pull in, B downspike followup, whiff j.A, land 2C.

  12. Seems like the arc from jump forward K takes too long and they can just mash you without even having to use a DP. I'm guessing the trick is to let the ball float forward a bit more and not pressing K immediately as you jump but rather a few frames later, so the ball trails behind you a little more (and is thus more "+"). Also does anyone have issues with crossover airdash backwards j.S not hitting? It seems to whiff for me randomly even when I'm airdashing right into their face.
  13. Can someone explain the actual mixup on K Ball Oki for me? Is the ball itself supposed to create a crossup or is it meant to make them block while I go for airdash high/empty jump low/safejump mixup? I'm having trouble making it work either way, I can't get the ball to hit crossup ambiguously and the ball hits too early for a high/low mixup.

  15. Can you even throw a Blitz? I don't think you can. I think you're throw invul during the parry frames.
  16. That's what I wanna know. Otherwise even a multi-ball setup that meaties from too far away to be rejected could reject us if we run in and they blitz multiple times.
  17. There is a slight gap between the c.S second hit and when you press 5H. It should still be airtight or close to it but you're not hitting 5H during the c.S(2) hitstop but rather a few frames after it ends and as its going into the third hit. If you're doing it right you should see like the first frame of the third hit's animation before you go into 5H. Unfortunately c.S's normal gatling window isn't as big as the special cancel window (you can do Carcass pretty much anytime during any of c.S's hits so long as one connects) but it's lenient enough that you don't actually have to 5H immediately as c.S hits. So your input actually looks more like 2K~5S~2, wait until slightly after hitstop of second hit ends, 5H~8S.
  18. This doesn't sound like "very basic" perssure to me. What I'd call basic is like: - 2K > 2D or throw = sweep or throw - 2K c.S(2) > Carcass or 2D = reset or sweep attempt to jump out - Whatever > TK Mad Struggle or 2D = high/low mixup - Whatever > QV = frametrap mashing
  19. Carcass is 16f startup while 5H is 10f, so if you timed it right you could get an extra 6f of charge time while keeping everything airtight. Also get more RISC out of it, at the cost of more pushback I guess. I never really bothered with 5H much in general but I should go back and workshop it more.
  20. Question is if you can OS airthrow with airdash by doing them on the same frame though. Or anything else that could be used to OS a jump-out attempt for that matter. Maybe j.74S+H~236S? I should actually workshop this stuff rather than speculating randomly during work downtime.
  21. What happens if you input sometihng like j.66H? Just wondering if it's possible to OS an airthrow. I was trying to OS airthrow/TK Mad Struggle but I don't think that works, Mad Struggle always gets priority over the airthrow. Maybe you can kara j.SH OS into a special? I know you can't kara H moves period.

  23. Losing meaty VCL safejump hurts her a lot. Makes it a lot easier to take on a guess on a wakeup blitz vs her oki and actually win. Of course she can call it out but that's still not as good as just being 100% blitz-safe like it is now.

  25. So how does Dark Angel more hits work? It's already infinite hits till the edge of the screen. Hits faster? Moves slower? Bigger hitbox? Getting exactly 6 more hits in all situations seems like an odd metric unless the notes had a specific situation in mind.
