Thanks for the invite, but I don't think I'll be getting into BB. I just don't have the time to play. Good luck with the scene shtkn. -

Friday is a big maybe since I sometimes work Saturdays. http://shoryuken.com/f24/unfinished-business-weekly-mvc3-ssfiv-crack-sessions-san-diego-mira-mesa-ca-265443/ ^ I was planning to check this out first though. Are you guys interested in getting into Arcana Heart 3 as well? -

I wouldn't mind going, but I'm pretty free (I don't even own a copy of CS). Do these gatherings happen on a regular basis or does it happen whenever people are free? I'm free on most Saturday evenings/Sunday morning - afternoons -

Wow, we have a blazblue scene? Last I checked, we were totally dead. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10089-San-Diego-Scene <--- Totally dead. -
Some of us in IRC recently got into the demo while waiting for the version 4 release. Does anyone here still play this game?

Socal: Arcade Infinity! Let's Match it UP
beatsstayflowin replied to choysauce's topic in Offline Community
Oh no... I never got to spend all my tokens from the one time I drove up. -
The more I think about it, the more I want CS. Gotta stay focused... gotta think about my Bison.

We have a big SSF4 scene, but our Blazblue scene is more or less non-existent. Your best shot at playing Blaz offline is here. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8376-Socal-Arcade-Infinity!-Let-s-Match-it-UP/page119 It can be a long, long trip though. Hey, there's three of us... that's sorta like a scene.

I guess I'll try to get into this game again. Let see how long I stay interested this time. -
I just got back from Arcade Infinity. Overall, it was a refreshing trip, but I could have had more fun. The drive itself is incredibly long. I can spend over two hours on the computer easy, but spending it driving is a different animal. Combine that with the fact that I have never been to that area made it pretty draining. However, I did listen to Young Money's "Bedrock" three times on two different radio stations. Made the trip enjoyable. Appearance wise, AI looks like a generic Tilt... except with chairs and no lights. The games though were pretty surprising. A melty blood machine? A bust a move with azumanga characters? Two blaz machines? Truly a rare sight... combined with the fact that these machines have working buttons and sticks, easily makes it a special arcade. It was fun meeting some of you (that is if you were there). I was the large dark skinned guy in the yellow shirt playing hakumen. Some of the people I remember are... The guy in the purple shirt in the afternoon playing the Noel. The guy in the afternoon with the big headphones and glasses playing the carl The guy playing the green arakune both afternoon and at night. The guy with the glasses playing the Jin. ...and before I left, there was a guy playing Bang. It was nice to play all of you. I hope to see you again in a few months. I'm thinking a week in May would be best. Hopefully for a tourney next time (the drive is too long to just show up for some casuals). *runs away to SD and pokes community with Hakumen's 4C*

I'm finally making the trip up to AI tomorrow. I hope to see some of you blaz players there.

Lack of activity? I hope you guys are still playing this when I get there... Wow, it's already been a month since I promised to drive up there. I get one more month before I start donating quarters to that cabinet. I almost quit Blaz after unsuccessfully attempting hakumen's loop for a couple of weeks, but after I talked to a friend about arcade sticks, I got re-inspired and finally did the loop successfully. I've only done it twice, but it's nice to see signs of progress. Either way, I'm stick practicing combos to get comfortable on a stick. Would you guys say the arcade cabinet most resembles the shape of an HRAP 3 SA or a Madcatz TE? (They both have different slants to the buttons.)

What's the best way to get to AI from San Diego? I was thinking of either taking 1) the 5, to the 57, to the 60 - or - 2) the 15, to the 60 1) is more direct but I'm worried about traffic while driving up. Anyone know any trouble spots (traffic) I should avoid while I'm in LA?

Two BBCS cabs in one arcade? What sort of arcade is this? How much per play?

Ideally, I'd play with you guys everyday, but time and money are an issue. I didn't mean to sound like I'm delaying playing with you guys. It's just that driving up once every two months seems like a realistic goal for me. Either way, I don't even have much of a Guilty Gear background, so I have a lot to learn in Blazblue.

Hello AI players. I just started playing BB a few days ago. I'll be leveling up at home for a while. Hopefully, in two months I'll be ready for a full day of Blazblue. I hope you guys will still be into it then.
