  1. Yeah, I suppose I could've added dialogue to May, including the scenes with the rest of the cast, but that would've required me to think of actual witty dialogue for them. At the time, I just wanted a straight translation. That and I couldn't find a way to keep May's original dialogue. Someday when I get better (much) at this kind of thing, I'll redo this, and add lines to the rest. It's because when I was doing Ky's lines, I *had* to do them in the, "overly silly spanish drama" style. And well, that's how it sounded when I said his lines, so I kept them in. Although yeah, Ky does sound like quite a bitch. XD
  2. Bumping this thread to say that my video is complete! Hope you all enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky_MNLuXGVc
  3. Alright, so I have the video in decent quality, and the script is finished. Does anyone have any ideas for a good voice recording software or software for ripping/adding audio to an existing video?
  4. Basic translation (my spanish kinda sucks so forgive the errors) is Guilty Gear X. So what's my point? Well, one day while watchin' the anime teaser from GGXX with some friends, I took it upon myself to over dub the already badly translated english with some badly translated spanish. Needless to say, they thought it was a hoot, and it got some wheels in the noggin' turnin'. What I'd like to do is take the same trailer of GGX, but instead, remove all the spoken dialogue (I'd like to keep the sound effects and music intact) and dub it over with the spanish I had done previously. I think it'd be quite funny, both for my crowd, and to the other fans. Because if anime and american cartoons on spanish television has taught us anything, its that EVERYTHING is funny in spanish. Everything. What I'd like is some advice, any will do, on how I'd go about doing this. Any recommended programs or steps on doing whatever will be greatly appreciated. When I finish, I'll be sure to post it up here, for all your amusement.
  5. Nope. Although they have more doujins available to their subscribers, they do still have quite a lot of free ones for their non-subscribers to enjoy.
  6. I hear doujinmoe has some nice ones. But you didn't hear it from me. >_>
  7. Heh, look at all this plot that has accumulated. You take a break for a year or two and look how much you miss. Oh the simpler days where there was damn near nothing in storyline so you had to make up a bunch of it via RP/fanfic story-telling. XD
  8. Listening to it again, you're right, they are both different VAs (who sound way too similar sometimes). However, I know I heard Paradigm's voice in one of the soldiers talking to Ky earlier in the trailer (which is still VA recycling, and thus, a no-no to me). As far as I can tell, Crispin Freeman is not involved in this game. His voice is easily distinguishable, and his voice is most definitely NOT Sol Badguy's. That's because they changed his voice actor, which I wasn't all too thrilled about. But then it never made sense to me why Daisuke got 2 different voice actors for a character he himself, also vocalizes.
  9. I like how Raven's VA, unless I'm mistaken, sounds like several characters already present in the game. Is his the same one for Dr. Paradigm? If so, that is garbage. There is absolutely no need to voice recycle. So far, I don't think the Voice Acting is terrible. But I DO like how instead of getting fantastic voice actors like Crispin Freeman and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (both would have made perfect Sol Badguy & Valentine VAs respectively), they grabbed all the average and less impressive voice actors who have always previously voiced less than important characters (or ya know, never had a lead role in anything). Ky's the only one that sounds especially good. Everyone else...pretty much forgettable. That Man however, sounds like crap. The best actor for That Man would've been John Rafter Lee (Meier Link from Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust). Imagine that voice on That Man.
  10. Like it's been said before, both of them are parallel existances. Raven is the result of something Axl does. That something apparently results in a horn through the head... Axl is the past, Raven is the future, albeit one from an entirely different timeline/reality. You originally had GG1, then the timeline introduced in the one Drama CD where Dizzy went evil and was leading the Gears parallel to Sol leading the resistance. That was the "correct" timeline. Once I-no showed up and saved Ky, time/reality was shifted. So the Raven in that world, aka Axl Low, was brought into the *new* timeline, the one with our normal looking Axl. And well, since you can't have two of the same person in the same realm of existence, *insert chaos theory here*, one off-sets the other, a.k.a. Axl being forced to time slip. I would assume that if something were to ever happen to Raven, Axl wouldn't be caught in a time loop. But then again, time travel, shoot, any science-fiction involving time is just...hell I'll let the emoticon speak for itself. --->
