lot of updates have been happening lately release date, gill unlockable, evo exhibition video (8 parts HD), interviews -
daishi has been tweeting... talks about a more advanced system...sounds sick. special moves, faster gameplay and more technical. Daishi_CALIBUR Daishi Odashima Lastly, Just Guard is a system for high level players which is performed by inputting guard at just frames. The guard stun frames reduces. source: http://twitter.com/#!/Daishi_CALIBUR

i dont think it is, cause its a video game :/
-
btw how popular has SC been in japan? tekken is huge... but does SC hold only 'some' popularity?...never knew
-
how could they fix this though? i think that making the gameplay faster has helped... any ideas?... there is parrying as well
-
i think the features they have added categorize it as a big change. it seems to me that you just dont like SC anymore (or it isnt your taste of a game anymore). i dont like SF, but its not realistic for me to say the game needs a complete overhaul with nearly all characters being new, new gameplay, longer combos, etc... that wouldnt be SF
-
the game as it is now? you mean with the sped-up gameplay and special moves incorporated? i dont think adding combos will change it as mightfo said. it would make it into something completely different...its like giving SF guiltygear combos. change is good, and thats what theyre doing. but if they wanted to add long combos, it wouldnt be SC

hot damn yoshi looks sick... i think if i see Feng's gameplay, him and Yoshi will make me buy the game... and i said i wouldnt -_- btw, that video of king owning haggar and hugo was pretty awesome haha....BEAST
-
i definitely see Hilde coming back....not so much Algol (im guessing hell be like Abyss and just be in one game) also, theyve stated that character customization will be bigger than ever. i hope its bigger by a LARGE margin. Sc4 seemed to be smaller in size than SC3 -__-
-
yeah agreed. theres gonna be a lot of whining about missing characters (just look at hwang these past games), and about the new characters. im a fan of change, and i think doing this was a VERY smart decision.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition

credits go to 'arstos' for putting this info together about the game's release Jun 22, 2011 -- 3:37PM, Genis Sage wrote: Slightly unrelated question, but is there a typical timeframe for the XBLA/PSN Store submission process? It's been stated that the game is in the submission process at the moment, is there any sort of typical amount of time this takes or does it vary from title to title? Jun 22, 2011 - 6:37PM, Sven As a rough rule of thumb for digital titles, first submission to prop for us has typically been about 7 - 10 weeks depending upon how many resubmissions it takes to get approval (if any) and how many other titles are in the queue before you competing for slots. In this particular case, there's also the issue of "black out" windows for Summer of Arcade on XBLA (which you have to be invited to by MS... for clarity's sake SF3 is not a part of MS's summer of arcade). Secondly, for Sony you have to submit for approval in Japan, North/South America and Europe seperately. If you're trying for a global, simultaeous cross platform launch, you can't plan your launch until the very last one is approved. Lastly, to provide crystal clarity, you can not get an official date from Sony or MS until you have approved code. So the reason why we haven't provided a firm launch date is that we don't have one confirmed from first parties. We have a window that we're targeting, that we think even in worst case scenarios is achievable, but until we're approved and slotted, we just don't know for sure. from the Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Q&A on capcom-unity http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/27744585/Street_Fighter_3:_3rd_Strike_QA_%28No_Discussion,_please%29?pg=1 -
so uh, ive never played a MB game before, but i just listened to the AA soundtrack on Grooveshark... holy shit that music is sick. hella chill and perfect for a fighter best ive heard for a fighting game. now i wanna play it~~~

haha im in the same position with you but with SF3OE edition coming out, i decided to just focus on 2 fighting games(3rd and BB), instead of spreading them out... too much to learn for me -_o

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition

i can see them having the fault of different input times between the 360, ps3, and arcade versions though (i think its by 2 frames). if they alter the game so it makes them all the same, then thatd be great for tournies/the arcade scene (which im not apart of... -_o) either way i am actually excited for a SF game -
15$ as DLC for PS3/360 ≈Features -GGPO netcode -Arcade perfect (keeps the glitches from original arcade version. Both versions have 4 second frame delay, just like arcade) -Updated sprites/graphics (ability to choose old sprites or smooth/crisp effects. for the corner loop... 2c -> sj.2a -> j.2c -> 2c -> j.2a -> delay j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.C -> 5c -> 3c i use... 2c -> sj.2a -> j.2c -> 2c -> sj.2a -> delay j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.C -> 5c -> 3c is it better to use a regular j.2a instead of the sj.2a?...

i think having blue as the only colored text makes it kinda confusing adding another(or 2) would make it easier to navigate...and for newcomers to understand
-
sorry if i missed this info or if its just me...but did hakumens BnB get a lot easier to do
-
seig looks more badass now. i just hope they dont go with the whole 'the older they get the more facial hair they have' i think its really cool how theyre setting it 17 years after SC4 (luckily my mains lizardman and yoshi wont be affected) ....setsuka is gonna be an uber milf now ;P *hmm, patro looks like a total douche character though
-
ooo good point. but i still stand on the fact that just about all the unlocks werent character specific besides the weapons (actually, were any of them character specific?) on the topic of armor, im being picky... but i would prefer character specifics as a opposed to...'anyone can wear this, and anyone can wear this'
-
the majority of the community(including me) were let down by the lack of features in SCIV. there was so much stuff and characters to unlock in sc3, it really seemed like a step back. and you guys are right, if i dont like create a character, than i shouldnt use it. its just that, IN MY OPINION, i rather spend time unlocking a bunch of armor/customizations for the characters i play, rather than items for a lame create a character. so there actually would be a difference. more of a focus on the main cast, rather than create a character...... is that bad in your opinion? and as for the unlocking, its just like every other game that has em. they add length to the game and give a drive to play more(while having fun unlocking stuff). it can also be rewarding and can be shown off online. iono, i guess the use of unlocking is common sense. SC isnt a series that should be bare bones and have nothing to unlock. thats for the arcade. im talking about the console
-
i think in SC5 itd be great if they... 1. get rid of create a character 2. keep edit character option.....just add a lot more to it 3. have A LOT of unlocks. similar to sc2 and sc3 4. team battles theres more, but cant think right now.... and hopefully the community doesnt get all lame before release again.. "omg, ____ better be in the game! they havent been confirmed yet!" so stupid :P
