  1. Shit, that last Ruu/Shounen match was the best AC match so far! Wonderful play from both of them, Shounen with some awsome combos and Ruu as usual full of tricks, slashback and unblockables.

  4. All characters have 88 as air throw range now (except Potemkin of course). I think they want to lessen abuse of it in general.
  5. If they come in with a normal jump, 5P is often the best choice. It doesn't work on some characters/attacks though, like almost all of Chipps jump-in attacks =/ If you want to pick people out of airdashes, 6K is usually the best choice. Usually also needs some predicting-skills though, depending on the character. A friend of mine translated it from Tougeki Damashi. He hopefully got everything right =)
  6. repost of one of my old messages: Performed with 4+HS+S. It uses 2% tension. You cannot perform slashback during the first 10 frames after rising from down. The timing for a successful slashback is about 2 frames. After a whiffed slashback, you cannot block for 30 frames. Even after a successful slashback, you cannot block for 15 frames. You can however still perform another slashback. If you whiff a slashback, you can still try with another slashback again, but your guardstun will then be 4 frames instead of 2. On that note, slashback usually has a guardstun of 2 frames if you're on the ground, and 4 frames if you're in the air, regardless of attack level. You take no block damage and your guard gauge does not increase.
  7. Testament's GD only had 6 active frames in slash, which is fully backdashable. It was probably just good timing.
  8. Gotta say i agree with the Shuumatsu thing. He plays AC Testa the right way in my opinion. Goran may be good but the badlands loop is kinda boring. Shuumatsu is much more stylish with all his 1-hits and GD's =)
  9. Does anyone know who it was that made the "Nightmare" Testament combo-vid that Hideki linked to? I've been wondering for a long time since there's no credits in it and it's an utter badass vid =)
  10. It's a valid combo, and she does it twice from pretty low guard gauge with equally high damage, so it can't be a coincidence. Guess Baiken's dust will be the new thing to truly fear =)
  11. This is because it's amazing how many attacks Baiken can get in one airdash. It's easy to think that she is done and start blocking low right before the j.D comes out, in anticipation of her landing and using 2k. It's just something that takes a while to get used to if you haven't seen it often enough beforehand.
