Anyone have 5b anti-air combos? I haven't seen any so I made up these from other combo parts: 5b j.b(2) j.c 3c 2b 3c 236bx3 2828 damage 5b j.b(2) j.c 3c 2b 5c[half charge] CS j.b(2) j.c 3c 236a x3 3255 damage

My method for the corner 5b 5c iris route is to delay the 236a a lot then let them fall as low as possible before doing 5b. It's worth noting that you can use this route from j.b fuzzy starter if you have a pole out. The actual reason for using this combo is to get double oki (pumpkin+frog). You can also do some midscreen combos from iris starter, or using an iris if a pole is set and you land a normal starter move: (5b 5c) iris 5b 6a (max delay) 236a 3c 214c 6a 4b 5cc For air to ground combos: At low heights you can just do (j.b) j.c 2d 5b 6a 236a 3c 214c 6a 4b 5cc for a normal anti-air style combo At medium heights you can do j.b j.[c] j.c (slight delay) 2d 6a 4b 6a delay 236a 3c 214c 5cc At heights up to superjump you can do j.b j.c 2d JC j.c (delay depending on how high you are. the more delay the further it brings them towards the ground) 2d 6a 4b 5b 6a 236a 3c 214c 5cc ^If you mess up and they are too high after 4b, omit 5b and just go directly into 6a delay 236a. For the microdash combo, it just takes a lot of practice. It's pretty strict but you can make it muscle memory with enough repetition.

I've never heard of Izayoi being a bad matchup. Maybe you are thinking of Tsubaki?

4b nerf is also pretty large, in most scenarios all you can do is immediate 5cc after (no time to dash etc). As Rachel stands in the loketest, she is severely crippled. I hope they change some of this before release.

On that topic, the Chain Shift kill enders I use after 236a x3: You can do the 3c before your next move unless you are very late into the combo, in which case you need to omit it. 0% ~> 236a x3 CS (3c) 623b 100% ~> 236a x3 CS (3c) 623c 200% ~> 236a x3 CS (3c) 41236d

I actually find the route to be a lot more stable if you delay j.a slightly after j.[c]. If i don't delay j.a they often pop out of the 3rd 236a at the end of the combo. The key for me is delaying the jump cancel slightly after 2c(2), as mentioned earlier.

GGs! The Rachel mirror is weird in that the first zoning hit in neutral is a huge deal and completely sets the pace of the match. It's also strange that you don't have to respect Rachel's normals much in neutral, save for 6b at certain spacing and 6a for telegraphed air approaches. That said, she can approach rapidly with wind so you have to be very careful. Running oki on Rachel feels easy mode compared to characters with DPs or partially invulnerable moves though! Can just frog and mash 2a until she blocks it (despite wind tech) then keep her in blockstun until frog starts.

Pretty sure it works on Jin. To answer your earlier question, yes you have to recover from 4b before you can dash.

If at all possible, avoiding ending combos with j.236a when you could have gotten knockdown from 5cc or 3c. Playing Rachel like that would drop her down a few tiers.

The important thing is learning the timing at which you recover from the 236a so you can start dashing. If you try to use the a lobelia hitting for a visual cue, you can mess yourself up because the timing of that changes depending on your spacing. The combo gets a bit easier if you can up close before the first 5b. If you are trying to do the combo on Hakumen or Azrael, connecting the 3c is hard. You need to be point blank vs those characters and they need to be higher in the air than normal when the 3c hits.
