I don't think it's as bad as all that, excessive Gun Flame (YRC) oki is kinda wasteful when we have safe jump oki anyway (although admittedly, I am quite partial to it). OTG into Gun Flame (YRC) might not be a legit thing anymore, but that's only assuming that the YRC window will end too early for us to delay YRC to eat inputs. Sol players will definitely need to stop auto-piloting 5HS > Gun Flame in pressure though. It hurts, but it's not devastating.

If the Kudakero changes really do include increasing the hitbox on the first hit, then that means Venom can finally start falling in line with the rest of the cast. It might make air combo into Kudakero more consistent as well, so hopefully we'll be able to get Bandit Revolver enders more often on lightweights. I'm more than happy with having initial proration in return for some consistency. Edit: Oh, so it's hurtbox, not hitbox? Damn. Also I'll have to do some calculations, but I don't know if the Riot Stamp change is actually all that much of a nerf. In most practical situations, you're only going to be landing it when cornered, which means the follow-up combo will be limited anyway, so the damage buff might offset the initial proration. Unfortunate. Now it's going be a lot harder to force opponents to respect you afterwards because they can basically Faultless Defense Jump out for free unless they're in 5K(2) range. We can still chase them with j.P and j.HS, but we've essentially lost the ability to force them to sit down. Welp, saw that one coming. It'll be effectively what Tofma just said. What this change means is that the point where YRC becomes PRC will be earlier in the move's duration.

Well, to put it into perspective, to kill a character at 20% life, you need to deal 84 damage. The same combo I used to deal 84 damage to Potemkin at 20% life deals 206 damage at 100% life. The same combo on Sol deals 225 damage at 100% life (excluding a single hit which can't land on Sol, but doesn't affect the damage due to when it takes place during damage scaling). Sol can actually deal more damage than that too, but due to how scaling works, the combo with poorer scaling but more hits is more effective at low life values. So that's the gist of it, if you can deal 225+ off a corner throw on an average life character, you can kill Potemkin at 20% life off a corner throw. This is also considering the fact that throws have forced proration. Contrary to some claims, throw proration does not go away if you wait out Roman Cancel slowdown, only the additional proration from the Roman Cancel slowdown itself is bypassed.

Oh yeah, falling j.P works fine for keeping you safe and as a follow-up high option. You just lose the low option in that case. j.HS works perfectly fine as a safe jump.

Indeed. It can be used in much the same context as Astral Heats in BlazBlue. If anything, the prevalence of Guts and the "50% Tension to Roman Cancel, 50% Tension to activate Instant Kill Mode (Gold)" element of comboing into Instant Kills (as TITANIUM BEAST!!! has mentioned, some characters have set-ups that don't require the former) grants it even more validity, even though the maximum life percentage you can initiate it from is lower. It just so happens that with Guilty Gear Xrd being such a meter driven game, players don't usually sit on all of their Tension for it to be readily available when that situation occurs outside of actively aiming to Instant Kill well ahead of time, so that's why you don't see it all that often. Correct.

At the height where you can still air dash after a blocked meaty j.HS, both air dash and low options are vulnerable. You have safe post-landing options from lower heights, but then you lose the air dash option and therefore the mix-up. This is why said mix-up is typically employed after an whiffed j.HS, rather than a meaty j.HS.

While for many characters this is most definitely the case (especially for those that can combo into their Instant Kill mid-screen), in the corner, Sol is kind of a bad example because he does bonkers damage off a corner throw (RC). With 100% Tension, he can kill anyone from 20% life without needing Instant Kill, even Potemkin.

You can't Yellow Roman Cancel Grand Viper outside of Dragon Install, so that's not an option. Doing reversal Blitz Shield into another Blitz Shield does seem pretty expensive at first, but 37.5% Tension really doesn't take that much time to build, especially when you take into account the combo you have to take to be put in the unblockable situation in the first place.
