i would do this but ONLY if it resulted in a suitably large and rigidly enforced Ky Bestman tournament even though i have no idea how to play ac ky

hi i havent played in 4 years 1 - Not really in AC, compared to other games. Her combos aren't terribly hard but require fairly strict timings to do well. Her neutral game is very strong but it's easy to play sloppy. Hardest part about playing May is learning patience as it's really easy to spaz out with her and fly all over the place and she really is OK just keeping the game neutral with a hoop charged if you want to be able to beat the good characters. 2 - It is matchup dependent. Some chars you want a hoop, others setting up tick throws with jumps and/or 5k, some you want to FRC a hoop and do a combination of the two or just do a few vert dolphins to be confusing, and you need to mix it up a bit regardless. An common hole in May players' games is using the same okizemes over and over without really thinking about the whys and matchup implications. 3 - no not really it's mostly an anti-ground poke, oddly. use it as anti-air in very specific situations to insta-win a round but don't rely on it to beat things. anti air with dolphins or j.h or other safer things 4 - May's moves beat the fuck out of ino's moves. You can throw out a lot of different pokes that wreck her pretty badly. She is airborne a lot which is not very safe against may, and attacks from angles that may does not really give a shit about. May also outdamages her by a wide margin with much easier combos. even if you are losing as may you can take a big risk and sometimes kill ino for free

Noel with 50% meter has a guaranteed guard crush in the corner against a character without a burst. There isn't any way out other than an alpha counter in this case for Nu. Delayed shots, however, are virtually useless against V and you should be punishing them almost 100%
-
This contains some pretty dangerous advice and won't work against a good Noel, the best thing you can do is a mixture of Instant block and Barrier Guard, then attempt to jump away or stick a 2A/2B in right when she has to dash back in. The problem is Noel's normals leave her at frame advantages and IBing her jabs doesn't really do you any good. Using Barrier Guard you can, however, push her far enough out that she will have to dash back in and/or use a slower frametrap move in order to re-establish proximity. This is the point where you can get out, depending on distance and other factors, but if you are just IBing or just Barrier Guarding without using the two in tandem you are not getting out of her pressure. You really should save the meter/Alpha Counter for when you no longer have a burst and are in danger of being guard broken, or when Noel is very close to dead and you want to quickly re-establish pressure. Using it early in a match is a TERRIBLE idea and is a pretty sure sign that you're giving up under pressure - if this is the case, you should probably be playing a character with a DP because you're approaching the idea of being attacked incorrectly. Being in pressure is not, in itself, going to kill you, and blowing meter just to get out because you haven't bothered with other options is a really bad idea. Think of it this way: If I am in pressure, I'm not yet taking damage. I can spend 50% meter to maybe get out of pressure, at which point I MIGHT have saved myself taking damage. Conversely, I could instead use that meter for a big damage combo, which is GUARANTEED to give me a big life swing by doing lots of damage. Using the meter to get out of pressure when you aren't literally about to die is a bad exchange and should be avoided generally.

Ragna, Jin I think, Nu, Tager, Litchi, Hakumen, Arakune I haven't tested. Does NOT work on: Rachel, Noel, Tao, Carl, probably Bang. However, you can Act Pulsar and link a jab (probably a few other normals work as well) from the same range off the DDs, and combo into: 2C, 6C, 236D [dashprime RC] => dash => 2C, 6C [Wallbounce] => 2DD j.c Aircombo. This is a pretty good replacement and has a lot of meter gain before the RC which makes it a solid option if you dont have the meter to just rc a DD 4DD 236D combo.
