Is Ramlethal the new Dizzy? Dizzy vs Ramlethal

Yeah, but I was saying that fish wasn't given an Frc point for a very good reason. -

Couldn't ino always FRC the note and CL? -
I think they were specifically trying to avoid having Pot able to loop his pressure with repeat knockdowns to emphasize his neutral. Perhaps they are trying to work other things like damage to make up for that.

[XRD] Sin Kiske Gameplay Discussion "Playing with Poles"
Destin replied to Ventus Tatshima's topic in Sin Kiske
Os backdash is a hard call. It's good no doubt, I'm sure all sin's rock it out as well as it bring used against them. Like, if I'm against sol, I can safe jump in, block, and punish sol's backdash in one series. If pote os backdashes, sin can backdash and we reset at neutral. This is similar to the mixup when sol has 50% meter and you want to draw out the dp. -

With YRC? If I could YRC a fish, she will be one of the strongest characters in the game. -

Yes, all dp's become safe on block over 50% meter, although that means they have to waste a bunch of meter which isn't nothing, whereas sin wouldn't have to. Sin's dp punish window isn't a huge deal, but there are situations where you might use it as a full screen eddie callout and not get punished for it where other characters would. It's not hard to create a situation to beat ANY dp. That's the nature of the move. It's just that stopping Sin's generally requires a more deliberate move, because they can't just block. This often gives you openings to get out, especially coupled with his AMAZING backdash, very few characters are going to be able to cover both options with one OS string. Sin's dp IS fine, it's not the best, but it's certainly not the worst. I don't look at that move and think man, this move sucks. -

I can only imagine they won't let her yrc the fish, or it will disappear if you yrc too early. -

Pro's: -Beats some conventional safe jumps -Gets good damage off a jump hit. -Gets decent damage off a standard hit with meter -Gets knockdown with meter -Safe on block (which is huge. Yes, it can be backdashed, but if you are constantly forcing the opponent to guess your dp with backdash instead of block, without even needing meter to cause that scare you are in a very strong position) -A considerably smaller window than many dp's for punishing. Cons -Short range -CH state -Slowish Which dp's are you comparing this to that are knocking it out of the water? Ky's dp can be low profiled so things like safe Jump S -> 2d beat every option outside of wakeup blitz, is 11f, and only does 48 damage on hit. Axl's is just as slow, but doesn't knockdown and is easily punishable on block. Chipp's doesn't cause knockdown, and attached to a char like chipp means death if you miss, -30 on block. Leo's is insanely punishable, and requires a charge, but otherwise is quite a good dp. Finally sol's dp, which is probably better, but that's the only dp which I would take offhand over sin's. Being safe on block is a very very large deal. It forces baits with more dedicated moves, which if called out completely free you from pressure at worst, or give you your own combos at best. -

Dizzy would be perfectly fine. Plenty of #R chars were perfectly fine without many changes, and dizzy would be no different. She was quite good in #R, better than sol ky axl and may (IIRC) I see no reason she wouldn't be able to handle herself in this. -

1) Cassius does have a similar angle, though it is a considerably more powerful tool. 2) I mean, creating openings is true for almost any projectile, especially those with a YRC. Gunflame can great openings, stunedge, venom's balls certainly can. 3) Her beam super is similar, but like 1) these are moves that weren't common in dizzy's movesets at high level. So, while they are similar in animation, the fact that ram actually uses them is a big difference in itself. 4) This is the the part that is most similar. Both can create powerful, dp safe mixups with multiple layers that reset into itself. I would say offhand that Ram's sword mixups are actually much more complex than dizzy's fish mixups, though that might come from a decade of dizzy and a few days of training mode with ram. -

Yeah I played a bit of ram, but the gameplan, the movement, the normals, even the way you set up and your proper movement when you do are all VERY different. I mean, if you are having fun with her, play Ram! Maybe you will find she suits you more than dizzy ever did? If you want to go really loose, she is somewhere between dizzy and buri, with a whole lot of her own flavor. -

Dude, it's a dp. I mean, it's not a catch all of course. Yes, it can't be baited and has ups and downs, but certain baits that work on others don't work as well against it. It's not super powerful. But it has a CONSIDERABLE number of benefits too. This is certainly not a "weak" dp in this game. -

I honestly think sin's dp is quite good. Being that you can use it safely, I feel more safe with it than sol's dp. And if you hit an air hit, ohhhhh boy the damage. -
That's some king shit writing.

I was thinking that too, but it's also a bit later in the game life, everything else is probably mastered and they are just cleaning up the useful but not as important aspects? I can't imagine another reason people weren't rocking the gunflame after fafnir besides that.

I actually think sin handles venom better than sol. Like, I don't character switch, but if I was in a tournament and I did, I would totally rock sin against a V player.

That falling a was an autocorrect. It should be a falling S. You don't NEED the falling S if you have a REALLY good VD setup. If your vd setup is a bit closer, you gotta go to falling S. -

Valas, you can prolly omit the 214s after rising j.h and replace with falling a, 2h(3), 5h, 6h, jump ksk ect. -

you can 623S 214S into normal loops midscreen against lights. Here's from 5 mins of training mode. Near cornerish, 236K 623S 214K j.s j.k (wall stick) land, do more stuff works. Even closer to corner, blah 623S 214S 236[h] 236[h] 214K j.s j.k 2H 5H eat or whatever (go for dein setups). -
When did arcadia die?

236 S sets up decent oki. -
If it's really like dizzy's dash, you can actually forwards dash over ky's stun dipper then throw before the slash part. Timing is tight though, prolly better off bsing the slash part.
