Chrono Trigger works because the time travel element was kept as a simple plot device. Never once did Luca try to explain how it worked (only that Lavos was the one who created the gates), just simply that it did and allowed them travel to different eras through history. Same goes for some time travel movies like Back to The Future. The DeLorean could travel in time and was simple explained as it "because of the flux capacitor". It was only used to go to 1955 and the actual time traveling elements of the movie were only used at the beginning and end. But when you make the whole story about time travel or try to explain it beyond a simple plot device, it begins to make the audience ask questions and creating tons of plot holes.

Valkenhayn getting to order Rachel around with not back talk is like a wet dream to him I bet.

Both Jin and Ragna have long term hero developments, but Jin shows the fastest improvements.

It's in his personality. At least Ragna has different shades to his character so he's just not a self righteous jackass.

As someone who also watches too many damn cooking shows I got a chuckle out of it.

Hmmm I might give it a shot some time then. But 999 left a bad taste in my mouth with one dimensional characters and plot holes.

I couldn't get into 999, I played and beat it but didn't like it at all so I never gave VLR a chance. And I do agree Clover looks a lot better in 999 than in VLR.

The perfect date night for Relius is dinner, a theater show, and going home and putting them on an operating table while mentally getting off on dissecting his date.

We'll see how to plot lays out when the console version comes out but I wouldn't hold my breath. It's Relius best pick up line.

Every female character will be a body part of the Azure. They combine to form Mega-Aamaterasu Super Fighting Robot DX.

By "final boss" I mean, main conflict resolution of the current plot/game. At this rate, Makoto will be a Murokumo unit.

I don't deny it's decent setup like how Hazama manipulated Tsubaki with the alternative timelines and got her to go after Noel, but that's really all it should of been I feel like. A simple short rival fight. It doesn't feel epic enough to use as end boss material and making an alternative character outfit/movelist for.

Like I said, needless fluff. I'd like to see a new boss besides "girl goes evil and we slap her shit to make her not evil".

Tsubaki's whole character is based around honor and justice. She has a strong bond for her friends and loves Jin/Hakuman. Yet all of these characters are rebelling against the NOL and she can't put two and two together to think "Hey, maybe my boss is evil...the one I've never seen and just have a weak family honor to uphold." And decided that all of her trusted friends and allies are dicks and decides they need to die for great justice. Magic spells or not from the Imperator that's just lazy writing to set Tsubaki to be a sub boss for the next game. Not to mention it has absolutely no lasting value after the plot is resolved, just needless fluff. BB has never had that stellar of a story with it's massive plot holes and anime cliches thick enough to stop a bullet it's no wonder I can make so many satiric stabs at it. But hey, fighting games had always had the bottom of the barrel writing anyways.

I had to read up on the Izayoi plot to make sure it wasn't as retarded as I originally thought. Sadly, I was right. The plot twists in the BB game keeping getting dumber it seems. I haven't watch any plot videos but I could totally see Tsubaki when confronted with her friends that her "justice" is wrong going "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOOR" à la Zero from Mega Man X4. But won't be able to do anything with New Noel or Izayoi anyways since the sprites aren't out yet.
