http://www.mediafire.com/?jwydiyqymqd Tell me if the link is messed up, please. MediaFire is stingy with me sometimes, haha. But yeah, this is a link to a WinRar archive with pictures of all four colors per character. I did this last night. Be appreciative, I know some people were curious on what the colors looked like! =D Oh, and sorry if the quality isn't that good, haha. Also, note, I listed the colors in the order that you select them on the Gamecube Controller. That means: Y - 1 (Standard), X - 2, A - 3 (Last hit kill on the giant in arcade mode), and B - 4 (Last hit kill on 3rd form of Yami). =D

Indeed. The Dissidia Forums is working on making an equipment/accessories/etc tournament rule set, actually. One of their currently on-going tournaments at the moment is using some equipment, accessories, etc rule set to see how well it'll go. I like the "Naked" rule set because you don't have to worry about the really unfair/unfun effects of retardedly good summons and other items. So yeah, to each his or her own.
-
^Agreed. I've seen some pretty good Gabranths that use the No Equipment rule set. Also, the main problems with Squall in his matches seem to be that he can't land an HP attack for his life. He can build Brave easily, but he seems to have a hard time actually landing the killing blow.
-
Here is the rule set used by the Dissidia Forums. They just recently finished their Dissidence tournament with their Kefka main, FunkyMan02, getting first place! Great job to Funky. I was very glad to hear that a Kefka won. Also you guys should know, the Dissidia forums has an overabundance of Squalls. Here are vids from the tournament, in case anyone is interested. The Grand Finals and stuff are still waiting to be uploaded though. However, I did pm one of the mods there and they are indeed getting uploaded still, they've just been busy. Till then, enjoy these. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=B4A98003161B3111 Rule Set used for the Dissidece tournament! Alrighty, so here’s those rules we’ve all been waiting for! Keep in mind that these rules aren’t exactly the set in stone rules for every tournament following. We’ll have many different tournaments with many different rule sets, just to give each one variety. However, these rules are set in stone for this tournament, so bickering about them is just a waste of time. Okay, here we go! Basic Element Restriction - Infinites are not allowed. They’re typically not even welcome on DF - No Equipment can be worn. You can wear accessories that increase non-statistical elements, like a Chocobo Feather or Mog’s Amulet, but nothing else. This also includes not wearing anything that gives you a second chance like the Phoenix items. Basically, don't wear anything, just to be on the safe side - No Summons are allowed. Win a battle with your wits alone, with no help from others! - No “Exp to” Abilities are allowed. They can give a nearly match-toppling bonus when used in conjunction with Time Traveling and Special Days, as well as the Chocobo Bonus. - No Ex-Bursts allowed. If you don’t know why, check around DF a little and you’ll see - Ex-Guards are allowed. You can activate Ex-Mode while being attacked to stagger your opponent, however… - Ex-Counter is not allowed. You cannot attack after using an Ex-Guard. Instead take this moment to recover and formulate a strategy - Ex-Cancels are allowed. Certain characters can cancel out their current action by sacrificing the move into Ex-Mode. Use it wisely guys! One last thing! Since people have been wondering about it, if you launch an attack...let's say...Emperor's Flare, and you Ex-Guard to stagger the opponent, and the Flare creeps up and hits them while they are still staggering, that's perfectly fine. I like to refer to those as "Lucky Shots." In such an instant, just be aware of your opponent's Ex-Level and what's happening on the field. Please take note of these rules, as any breaking or bending of them will result in a LOSE for that Battle, or cause for immediate disqualification. And we wouldn’t want that now, would we? If an Ex-Burst or Ex-Counter is an accident, the players can redo the match if they both agree. If an agreement cannot be reached, the battle counts as a loss for the player who committed the restricted action. Battle Setup Restriction - Character Swapping is allowed between each round of a match-up. Choose wisely - All fights take place on a Random Battlefield unless both players can agree to one for each round - No Deific Judgment is allowed. Win by the seat of your pants or not at all! - The victor of the match-up is the first player to get TWO WINS out of up to three rounds. The Finals require THREE WINS out of five rounds Battle Dates The official start of the Dissidence tournament is September 25. From then, you have FOUR (4) days to complete your match-up. Now, from RIGHT NOW, you can contact your opponent to set up a solid date (if you both know your schedules well enough in advance), just to get things set up early enough. Once the second round match-ups have been posted, you can again contact your opponent to set your Battle Date. Doing so allows us all enough chance to get our fights in, without much hassle. Another good way to go about setting up your matches is to chat with your opponent through DF's chatbox in real-time, that way you both know when and where to battle. Also, be sure to pick a lobby on Adhoc Party without a lot of traffic on it, and be sure to CLOSE THE DOOR so that random people don't come in and accidentally crash your games. Double Elimination - Your Second Chance Even if you lose, you're not down for the count! After losing a match, you'll be sent to the Loser's Bracket, where you can compete again for the top spot of the non-winners. All rules apply, but you can also choose to accept your initial defeat, if you want.

Oh my god, Bravo looks amazing. Main found. <3

I think I'm the only one sad about Daimao leaving because he was my main in the Japanese version. =P Oh well though, I like a bunch of these characters, and Yatterman was my second in the team with Daimao. Also, fuck yeah, Zero! <3

Nerfs or Buffs each character should recieve, GGAC Edition
RPGsFTW replied to shinquickman's topic in Archive
Not to be bashing, but that's how I feel when I BlazBlue in general. =P -
Oh, cool. Thanks for the link. I knew there had to be a site/forum somewhere that had some good info. I'll be sure to look into this. =]

I'm glad to hear all this informative speaking about the game, however, I wish I understood it more. Are there any vids of a "good" battle between two people, preferably with a standard rule set? I'd also like to know what is good to know for beginners, like me. Also, tips on using Garland?
-
Some questions guys. I've recently started to play this game. I think I like Garland, Gabranth, Squall, and Tidus so far. Still kinda new though. The thing to me is this. Is there a standard tournament rule set I can play this by? I don't wanna have really cheap equipment/accessories/summons/etc by accident. I wanna have a good, fair match. Also, is there much depth to this game? I know I'm still very new to it, but I don't really see where the skill comes in. I'd really like to know if there is a reason for me to keep playing it.

So how far have you ever gotten in Survival Mode?
RPGsFTW replied to Blade's topic in Guilty Gear General
Oh, good. Thanks for confirming that. I only worried because GameFaqs didn't mention unlocking the Slash stages for AC+, both Ps2 and PSP, in their cheats sections. My PSP is still currently on at the moment. Will I unlock just about everything else relating to time too? I wouldn't be happy if I found out that it was "required" to have the GG/GGX (whatever) mode unlocked. -

RPGsFTW replied to Blade's topic in Guilty Gear General
I did it recently on my AC+ PSP mostly to get all the EXes to unlock stages. I took 2 tries with standard Faust. 1st got me around 400+ something. I almost beat all the Shadow characters. 2nd try I beat all the Shadow, yay, then lost later in the refight against Shadow Baiken at 500/600-ish I think? Does anyone know if the PSP version of AC+ gets the Slash stages? I still don't have the GG/GGX mode or whatever and I've gotten EX versions of all the characters, cept Kliff and Justice who don't get EX, and I know I have at least 12 hours of time spent with my characters in the training mode dancing to the music. I know it's supposed to be 48+ hours, but this is bothering me. I don't want to do this for nothing. -
Well it sounds like we were doing it correct over here. You sure that's it? Nothing else to add? I just wanna be sure we aren't doing anything wrong. And also, aren't loser's final AND grand finals both set to best of 3 rounds with best 3 out of 5 set wins for the win?

I didn't see this mentioned at all, so I'd like to ask about general rules for tournament standards. This Sunday, the 13th, we will be having a free Guilty Gear tournament, it runs as a side tournament to the main tournaments, Brawl (eww) and Melee. We've also been playing BlazBlue in tournaments, but have just recently decided to swap them out for Guilty Gear (yay) at the moment. The tournaments would always run fine but there is one thing we never really knew. And that thing was the tournament standard rules for Guilty Gear/BlazBlue. We've always done this: -Double Elimination -99 seconds on the clock -Two best of threes. (We were very confused about this one) -Loser's/Grand Finals are two best of fives. -And we were confused about how counterpicks worked as well. Does the winner have to stay the same character, etc? Would someone please tell me what our rules should be, if they aren't already correct? Also, are Instant Kills, or Astral Heats allowed? I'd think not, but I'm asking seriously.

Limiting my favorite Guilty Gear songs to a Top 5 or 10 is hard. I'll try though. 1.) Pride and Glory 2.) Suck a Sage 3.) Blue Water Blue Sky 4.) Existence 5.) Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) Vocal Guilty Gear Top 5, I forgot which were LA or NY =P : 1.) Awe of She 2.) Blue Water Blue Sky 3.) Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead) 4.) Suck a Sage 5.) Simple Life

Ah, that's probably it! I did not delay it at all when I was doing it. >_> I'll be sure to try it that way, thanks. Also, really quick. Did that combo do more damage than the usual 5A 5B 2B 6C j.D 2B 6C j.B j.C? I know the super after the j.D 2B/6A makes it do 4000+, more damage obviously, but is there any reason to do the one you mentioned instead? Maybe if it has more reach if you happened to have hit with Bang's 6C farther away than normal? Real quick: Can't you also hit Tager with a j.623B after the ending j.C? Not just Arakune? I think I could hit Ragna with the j.623B sometimes too, though that might've been in a different way.
-
Can I ask what your Training mode settings are on? I actually tried and got those to work some time ago, unfortunately, changing one setting, I forgot which, screwed it all up. I'm guessing that we should have Emergency Roll disabled? The training dummy seems to tech out of combos that it shouldn't otherwise sometimes.
-
I actually use 2A OTG a lot after 3c. I didn't think that the 2B would hit, unless RCd. Now I know and I'll try to do that whenever I hit with the tip of Bang foot?
-
Don't Tao's aerials beat Bang's j.A whenever they're in the air? >_> I've tried before to land a single CH j.A just to get the j.D, then combo, but the Bang CHing Tao's aerials at all with his j.A doesn't seem to happen with me at all. I hate fighting Tao. Long ranged, fast, stupid pokes, and moving around the screen all the damn time is very annoying. I find myself hitting Arakune easier. >_>
-
Wow. I must be the only Bang that hates fighting Tager. Yesterday's weekly tourney here in Vegas I got 2nd, losing to a Tager. I love playing as Tager, him being my 2nd and all, but I hate fighting him. Whenever he grabs me I swear to god that I tech, but no, I'll eat that 3000+ grab combo damage instead. I hate it. I know that I can mess up Tager real bad, but once I get magic grabbed out of nothing and I don't tech, like I plan to, I lose. I'm thinking that maybe I'll actually learn a bit more about FuRinKaZan just for this match-up.
-
Can Bang really just 5B punch Jin off his ice car? If so, can you lift him up high enough for an air combo on CH/non-CH? Stupid ice car. =P
-
The 2C > TK C nail should work on everybody. I used to do it all the time, though I'd say it was a bad habit, as it doesn't do much, around 2300, and it wastes a nail. I'd say that it is best to stick with a different, more Bread n Buttery BnB combo, or to use the 2B > 6C > j.D/dj.D against category 1 and 2 characters.
-
@ShoMeYaMoves: Can you do more damage to a category 1 character by doing the 6A instead of 5B, or is it just an alternative to the 5B? And yeah, I'd kinda expect that of the 3rd combo, the tech that is. Like I said, I'll practice on those a bit more and see how those turn out. I'll probably stick to the 1st combo against category 1 characters. I'm glad to hear that there are better BnB alternatives the the crap that I've been using. I've been stuck with muscle memory in 5A > 5B > 2B > 2C > 2369C, 2B > 6C > air combo/grab and I've hated always being in the habit of doing it. Thankfully I have better combos that I can use which also don't waste a nail on 2300-ish damage.
-
I don't think I saw this mentioned, or maybe I was too lazy while looking, but here is a combo against Tager and Haku-Men. Possibly Ragna seeing as he is a category 1 guy, and maybe the category 2 people if I test more. 5A > 5B > 2B > 6C > jump cancel(I don't usually have to say this) > j.D > 2B > 6C > j.C/ j.B > j.C? 3000+ damage? 5A > 5B > 2B > 6C > jump cancel(I don't usually have to say this) > j.D > 2B > 623B > Daifunka 4000+ damage? 5A > 5B > 2B > 6C > jump cancel(I don't usually have to say this) > j.D > 2B > 623B > d.5B? to air combo? Sorry about some unsure-itys. I've done the first two combos though. The last one I assume works with a dashing 5B, but I'm not sure if it does, since I forgot to test it. I'll try them out again later.
