the suggestion was floated to me that we go to super instead; personally i think if you're really trying to sit down and learn a game a tourney environment is not the place to do it, but it's up to you guys. if everyone wants to head to rebel up instead i can do that. i will say my place is quieter and more comfortable (unless you're allergic to cats)

specifically for mb/ah3. i don't really play arcsys, and there's a lot of crossover with rebel up's mb entrants + bb/p4u players. a lot of them are clearly there just to have fun and don't ever play the game outside of tournament. if super was a 5-10 mi drive for me i wouldn't mind but because it's such a commitment on my part i'd rather spend time w/the people who are legitimately interested in grinding it out and leveling up. there's already a contingent of sd players who i know are actually interested, but super's always been more on the melty side of things

posting here because it has the most interested ah3 heads: i'm hosting a house session this sat-sun. melty/ah3/random poverty/whatever you want. if you're interested you're invited

i've been brushing up a fair amount, the main issue for me is that i can't make trb due to it being on a bad night for me, so it would have to be during friday casuals or something on a saturday/sunday. san diego has saltmines on friday and they have a # of players already, so it's kind of a tossup for me as far as which one to go; they're both an hour drive lol on a self-centered note, i would like to attend the gathering that would have a playerbase more interested in staying with the game instead of treating it as "that other thing i mash buttons in and enter free 7 man tourneys for"

i'm going to sano-con this weekend too so i won't be going to SD i only play melty and ah3 atm and i'm not interested in learning anything new just yet. i dropped p4 and i'm waiting for a bit before i try to pick up gg to prep for xrd. no plans to pick up bb uhh i also play iamp and blitz but nobody's going to play those so w/e

no you don't get it throwing bullets fullscreen is actually not a threat because most charas cannot hit you if you graze at that range common misconception of the game is that having projectiles at every range means full screen offense when it actually means very little you can just graze patch's fullscreen offense but you can't really just ignore gordeau scythe or merkava limbs iamp "full screen offense" isn't really that at all anyway unib is dumb and i hope they fix it

i've played iamp. this is an inaccurate viewpoint of the game.

oh and i am enforcing $10 venue cause there will be like 20+ people in a house and y'all cause problems

my matchup tiers pretty hard: mitsuru / yosuke / yu hard: chie / naoto / kuma / aigis evenish: shabrys / yukiko / akihiko advantage: labrys / kanji that being said; i think liz's 3-7s and 7-3s are completely blown out of proportion in both directions, mitsuru isn't unwinnable and kanji isn't free
