Well even with my 3 years of experience I don't get instant wins. The main point is to be proficient enough to win not "win instantly". Edit: Yes Toasty it actually is.

You have to work hard to win with those 2 characters. Litchi you need to be on point with spacing and positioning with staff. Tsubaki is weak compared to most characters but her tools are still very good, just her charging is slow so you sometimes have to give up oki for charge. Sometimes you get both though.
