well im unsure in toronto but in america you can join a engineers study area, like uh (looks up ohio) the downtown columbus engineering schools, afterwards, 1 year, if you pass (test is hard) you get a certificate which allows you to literally skip a few years in colledge to get to where you are supposed to be, then during the job fair thing companies come to look at you or talk to you about, joining them. i joined the GEB, havent regretted it since.
