  1. Thanks, going to try that tomorrow and get used to it. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the best we could get on him as far as S starters go.
  2. Already said this but was buried way back early in the thread, but the Dengeki VS Sega is the name of the collaboration project which has stuff outside of this game. So it was never a guarantee that Sega characters were going to be in because of that name. At best I was expecting maybe a sega character or two, but the name wasn't indicating that it'd be half the roster or anything.
  3. I mean against Bang though. That's the normal corner j.A starter I use, but that combo is very inconsistent on him.
  4. I'll try that next then just to see. Just after I get the earlier FC combo down on characters that it works on.. For corner off of B starter you can do for example 5B > 5CC > 6A > 5A (2) > 6A > 236A > 6A > 4B > 3C frog/pumpkin 5B > 5CC > 6A > 4B > 5B > 6A > 236A > 3C frog/pumpkin Second one is easier and does just slightly more. First one is just like the usual Rachel combo with 2 6A's, it's just you have to delay the 236A a tiny bit for that one to work. For midscreen frog starter (if they happen to just not block) frog > 5B > 6A > 4B > 5B > 6A > 236A > 3C > 214C> 5CC Midscreen combos involving 5BD > 6A etc or converting air hit confirms into ground combos all work the same like how it would on any other character. It's just a little more strict. For corner combos with j.A starters, I don't know the best one. Been doing j.2AD > j.B > 5B > 5CC > 6A > 4B > 3C oki. The only problem is you're not able to get a lobelia out with that one.
  5. Should I do 5CC during the frog or do I have to pause and do it as it ends? I'm having issues linking the 5B after 236B so I'm not sure if it's something about spacing or height. And since I'm already posting here, I had another question. Against Bang, I'm having issues with my combos on him. Mostly the combos involving 5B 6A 236A's followups. Should I be doing something for my combos or do I need to alter anything? Edit: actually nvm on that Bang part. Edit2: nvm on the FC combo. Just saw the vid with N-O doing it, so I'll just try it on Hazama first.
  6. B Lotus for sure. The corner carry and the situational level 2 j2Cs have been much more useful for me. I just don't use A Lotus all the much because of how weird it is. Been using Lotus as zoning a bit more recently. Pretty nice to frustrate the opponent if your lobelias are spaced nicely so they kind of stagger and buy you some time after activating it. Was wondering, what FC combos should I be using with Rachel in real matches? I don't know what's the go to FC combo as of right now (meter or no meter).
  7. Mine went to red before I touched ranked. Just play and win in player matches and it'll change. I didn't know what the colors meant until recently, so I thought it was a bad thing lol
  8. I thought the same with dashing until I realized I could just IB by jumping out of my dash. But as you said, there have been times where I was forced to kara cancel into barrier after sticking a normal out, so knowing about 5C in this helps. I really do want to mess with that 5C and even OD stuff though, especially if we have lotus on her. Messing around in the Kokonoe matchup recently, seems like if the player has the habit of doing 6B into 22A, we're able to punish by doing any type of block (besides IB probably) on the first hit, then IB barrier the 2nd hit, and doing 6B fork after. Seems to get us just out of range of 22A to score us a CH. They'll catch on, but at least we opt to not 6B and escape out of pressure.
  9. Didn't know about the 5C FC punish on wakeup fireball. I've been doing IB and a timed throw for a throw counter to get past her fireball super. Too bad Rachel doesn't get much damage off of throw though. Edit: Disappointing to hear those things from N-O. Definitely sympathize on how he feels on the matchup. :/
  10. Just tested it on the old ice RC one, and you're right, it doesn't work. Black Hole hitbox is just too big. :/ CA with lotus and wind gets you out, but that's pretty situational.
  11. Can't test it right now, but I was curious. On the one Black Hole setup where she forces you to block 1 or 2 hits of something, is it possible to Counter Assault the blocked move and wind yourself out of the super's range while you're still in an invul state?
  12. Haven't gotten the game yet. So that means the US version is still running on the old netcode then for now?
  13. For a moment, I thought doing 5DB > 6A combo off of 2B > 5B > j3D > j.B > j.C starter on Kokonoe didn't work. I had issues connecting the 5CC on her until I changed my timing a bit. Fighting this character is going to take time getting used to...
  14. Thanks. I only thought of it being mashable at the end of last night, but I guess I won't have to worry the next time I play. Yeah, I've been messing with it. Although people caught on and just react to 5C. Been trying to mix the different options you mentioned when I get it to connect though.
  15. Weird, I swear I tested this right in training mode on Ragna's 5A and got CHed before the j2D hit after a blocked 1 hit 5C at the lowest height. Someone else can test it just to make sure since I won't be able to for awhile.
  16. Strange. I would've thought they would've put it on the main updates page like the other ones I've check. Oh well, haha. Also thanks to whoever said to do 5D slightly before 5B for the 6A combo. No issues on landing it now.
  17. Nope, I didn't see any on the official site. Latest one was Azrael which was also in October. And I need to get my Rachel in shape. Been messing with Terumi last I played, and I need to get these midscreen Rachel combos down.
  18. As Rachel, Pumpkin or frog should be doing that for you in corner as oki. If you're talking about standard corner pressure, there's a variety of creative ways that'll give them a difficult time (wind, lobelia, and so forth).
  19. I thought TD's talking about ending air combos in j.236A assuming it's not a combo that can be converted into a ground one. Especially because j.236A's CP change makes it more useful where now we don't have to rely on wasting more resources than we need for j.2C pumpkin oki.
  20. Thanks TD. Been trying to work on it, but I'm finding it difficult for some reason (was trying on Azrael). That 3C is giving me problems midscreen.
  21. Anyone know what's the best punish for a roll/no tech with a 2A starter for midscreen and corner?
  22. Hm... after today, Rachel really is much harder than I thought she'd be compared to older iterations. Match videos made me think her combos are simple, but I stand corrected. The more I played, the more I agree with glirandly's earlier post.
  23. Yes, but I paid with paypal so I can't really help you there. Did you get a tracking number with your email? Maybe you won't get charged until it "officially" ships. Mine said shipped on cdjapan but it took awhile for the tracking number to finally show something and then say that it left.
  24. I guess I won't be buying any DLC colors. They're all pretty unappealing to me.
  25. I always pictured Saya as some type of Archetype Earth. Still hoping for DLC. Still though, that stream announcement really does sound like a DLC announcement. I can't imagine what else they'd announce this late.
