  2. I noticed something pretty painful and I was wondering everyone's input on it. Kabari, my favorite little claw, gets me knocked the F' out against Faust. YOU SHOULD NEVER TRY TO KABARI A GOOD FAUST. (It's a fact, believe me) I just don't know how useful Kabari is against other chars. It tends to work against Zappa but I have no one else to try it against (I only get to play Faust and Zappa). I noticed SH_ Doesn't use Kabari near as much as I do, and I wanna know if there's anything better I could use. I generally do Kabari if my combos don't land, if someone blocks 2k, I do: 2k>5s>5hs>Kabari Then poke with 2k or 2s
  3. What's up Beotch? I'm playing around with Darkstalkers, Jojo's, and KOF right now. I found out how to Literally rape someone in Darkstalkers (with Q-Bee, my character) And I found a special in Jojo's that almost gave me a heart attack cause it's so fricken scary (you would have to see in it a completely pitch black room without expecting it, like me)

  4. Hahaha! :yaaay: I realize I have homework but I made up my mind earlier, if you came up, I'd play fighters and say screw it ta' the homework, I'll pull it off somehow. I don't pick characters according to teir but it's starting to look that way, huh? Watch out though if we play Jojo's, I can guarantee a hit with that Horror special, not gonna tell you how though. :kitty:

  6. Thank god someone who knows that Street Fighter blows chunks all over the damn place. I'm using Q-Bee for Vampire Savior, I've beat the Arcade without knowing really much of the system (I know all her moves and EX plus I can do Dark Force) KOF is great, but, slip up once and yo' ass is grass. Easy punishable mishaps. (looking forward to 98') I found the creepiest super special attack ever in Jojo's... All sound stops except for a heartbeat, perfect horror movie tone before this undead looking thing crawls out of the floor and stabs the enemy in the throat.

  7. I have roms for Vampire Savior 1 & 2, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (it's really cool), SF III Third Strike (It'd be better than any other Street Fighter, and yeah I went there), and Waku Waku 7 (Very entertaining, and every character has an unblockable ungodly super death attack)

  10. Ginormous... Yes it is. Yeah, that's why there was no tatami pop-up, Faust is a rather large character so of course it worked. I watched a few Koto matches vs Potemkin and the damage was ridiculous. It looks like j.SPSD hurts more than just j.SD or j.PSD, I think it can only be done to Po though. I also saw a Youshijin combo that was massive, just I'm not sure if it only hits Po or not (cause he's heavy), the Youshijin was CH. CH Youshijin>(wait & run)>6H>2D>jc>j.SPK>dj>j.SPK>Youzansen There was also a variation. CH Youshijin>(wait & run)>6H>2D>jc>j.SPSD>ad>j.SPSD [corner] They do way more damage than jumping up and doing j.SD>ad>j.SD, but it can only be done without tech, but CH Youshijin should take care of that right? I was also wondering if it was worth it to do 6H after a successful air combo for an extra hit (if you do Kabari afterward then it'll catch a tech) I also wanted to know if anyone knew which chars could be hit with groundcombo>Tatami>j.PSD instead of having to use j.PKD like on Faust.
  11. I just seen a 2k combo in a vid (EVO 2k8 team finals). I haven't tried it myself but it did a great amount of damage to Faust. It started with a j.h (i'm not sure if air dashing before affects it) j.h>2k>5s(close)>2d>j.PSPSD I didn't see a tatami pop-up so it looked hard to land (9 Beat) Granted it didn't start with a 2k but I think the rest of the combo landed because 2k is so fast. I don't know the Baiken player's name but the Faust was played by Elven Shadow.
  12. Yeah, I knew they were old news to a lot of people. I didn't mean to put j.p in the air combo, it's good for catching people in the combo without the frc though. Some characters like Faust can't be hit with a j.s if you start on j.p to save a bit of tension. For Chars like Faust it takes a j.p>j.k>j.d for a tensionless air combo. The ouren combo is helpful if used scarsely, I hardly use Ouren but if I do I wanna make it count right? I read the entire guide sticky, the stuff I found myself wasn't in there. For vids I found some great Jp players, the air tatami combo he does was sick!
  13. Yo, I think I found a couple new combos (That at least I haven't seen before)! First I found a good Ouren CH combo: Ouren>(run)>5.fs>jc>j.PSD>ad>j.PSD Well the air dash only works if you're getting out of the corner. Secondly I found a good throw combo for everyone: (In corner) throw>5.hs>tatami This does enough damage by itself, but you can wait for the tech and air grab them out of it for a bonus 55 damage!
  14. I knew 6p's had upper invincibility, I guess I hadn't tried it. Generally I can score CH with Youshijin, but a lot of his pokes are too far away. His 41236K stab never gets me a CH though, seems strange to me. I very, VERY, rarely use Ouren against this guy. It gets punished every time. Rarely when I know he's going for a long combo I'll use it to get him off me (the CH is nice too). So I agree with Shinjin on this one. Ouren is even worse against defense Faust, he'll stand in the corner and zone that whole side. His j.hs is too hard to get past along with the 41236K stab that keeps me from running in closer. What's Next? also creates that kind of wall of attacks. I finally found that I can air grab him out of Love, if I'm under him, otherwise I try jumping into it and block. That usually makes him block or hurts him. btw, how easy is it to 6K your way out of a grab? I can definitely reduce the damage he does to me if I can get out of his grabs.
  15. The distance is ridiculous! If I play it safe I can get close enough for a hit, It just depends on how he's blocking. If I pop him, he's toast, Faust can hardly dodge any aerials. So long as he doen't throw out a j.hs then I'm in the clear. Instant dashing is helpful, It's just not so successful with What's Next? going off. There's always a falling mini-Faust, a hammer, or poison to block my way. I can take half his life in one combo I just can't get one started, I've been reduced to pokes and the occasional Sakura. I see you're from Shephersville, actually, I am too. Just I put Mirrirmina well to stay true to the myth.
  16. I have been playing GG for a looong time and I have the basics down and what not. I finally settled on Baiken to use after a long winning streak with HOS. Really, I'm looking for how Baiken can beat a Defensive Faust! I have a couple of strong players on my team (a Zappa player and a Faust) The Faust player just recently picked up a defensive turtle[ing] play style. My air game was blown all to hell because of Faust's ridiculous j.hs. His What's Next? and Scalpel stabs keep me too far to do anything. My only advantage is that when he gets offensive, I can punish him for being huge. Otherwise I'm stuck pushing him into the corner while dodging What's Next? and Scalpel stabs. His grab game is the worst thing I've ever seen. If your within the range, he'll throw you. I've never seen anything like it (actually I have quite often but he's the only one I've seen do it). Any tips on character specific playing tips for Baiken are what I want. Just I really, REALLY, want to find out how to beat Faust!
  17. I don't think I'll say anything that wasn't already covered but It's my findings (so far) on the Baku counter. It will hit completely in hit stop so it will get someone off of you, yet it does use 25% tension. If a alternate way out of pressure is available you should probably do that, your call. I found (at least in my team) that it's not very expected, even if it is, they can't dodge it if they're too close. No one explained the attacks that the sealing does so I'll throw them in (generally what they do) P seal: A fast jab, Baiken slides across the ground and punches her opponent. K seal: Hits twice, once on the forward flip, then once when she stomps the ground. S seal: A flash strike. I think it will go straight to the enemy as long as they are on the ground, you slice them and end up behind the enemy. H seal: A flipping fire strike. If you're too far away this takes too long to do, I've missed it actually. D seal: A windmill attack. Baiken gets right under them and slices 'em up with a windmill arm above her. I have killed Zappa will Raou out quite a few times by sealing his movement and Slash button. That way you can mix up behind him (after S seal) and take Raou's time down. Raou will end before Baku wears off, during this time you can punish him for using that frick'n thing.
