  1. Easy suggestion for the new bb skin: make the black lighter, or make the white font grayer. White on black kills the eyes.
  2. So, can he still air dash out of what is now 2A? Been trying and wasn't having any luck. Just wanna be sure its not just me.
  3. Technically, killing Ragna wouldn't do squat because his arm, not him, is the thing that becomes the black beast.
  4. And now a video! http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5676935
  5. Well, its not a perfect game. Im just answering the question 'why is it not perfect'. Alot of the stuff I point out isnt even nitpicking. Im just holding it up to the standards of other games. What might work in a 2d fighter doesnt work in a 3d game. Especially in the feild of character control. They got the moves (the whole 3d fighter style of input)right, but they didnt get the movement system right (Slow walking, slippery running, no in between). Also, why have a competely different moveset when locked on? Didnt seem to make any sense to me.
  6. Well, I got it on sunday. Beat it today (tuesday). Certainly not the worst game in the world. It's just overly complex. It has a solid engine, no glitches, and I never really got bored doing anything (good mission variety). Theres nothing I can really get mad at the game about, just ways they could have improved it. Like, when there are larger battles involving a bunch of units, things become a little impossible to keep track of. The camera being so far out all the time wasn't really an issue, I just wish I could make it come closer. I also found walking speed to be too slow (and theres also one walking speed, whenever you press a direction, it runs at a set speed, and it doesnt change depending on how far you press with the stick). I also wish they had put more effort into the art. The 3d backgrounds in BlazBlue look great, but the graphics in this are sub-par. I did find that Sin was quite an awesome character to play as. *Hopes for a 2d guilty gear with Sin, Raven, and Izuna in it*
  7. Not enough people in maryland.
  8. Reading thru this, its not confirmed that Aria is Justice, but that Aria was at least Sol's lover. So I was right.
  9. Im gonna make this my last post on the subject, since you seem to not understand the situation at all. Arcsys has an ARCSYS booth. They're not in Sega's booth. http://kotaku.com/5057218/whats-sega-bringing-to-tgs Notice there are no Arcsys games on Sega's list. Arcsys has there own booth so OH SNAP they're filling it up with Arcsys games. GG2 isnt the only game thats being pushed. Also, lets say you released, oh I dont know, ICO at a low point in a consoles lifespan and it didnt garner much sales. Then later on the installed base was larger and you thought you could make more money, so you promote it some more and MAKE MORE MONEY. Also see ZOE2. Also see Mario Kart DS. God knows that games been out for 2 years or so, but Nintendo still puts out ads for it occasionally (Ive seen them). You may argue that those are all better games, and your probably right. However, the principle of whats being done still stands. You want to sell a game to a market that wasnt there before so you let them know its there. Its that simple.
  10. This logic might work if Arc hadnt already spent however much on making the game. Andy price they spend to promote it at a trade show (along with all there other games) pales in comparison to that. They havnt made any money off of GG2 yet, so they need to do whatever they can to break out of the red on this deal. This would include promoting the game. Companies dont just say 'nope, bad investment', and take the monetary loss. They try to recoup it.
  11. Well, from the Arcs standpoint, I'd be wanting to get as much GG2 exposure as possible. The game came out a while ago and the 360 is just now starting to pick up some steam in japan. Getting a larger installed base and such. It really doesnt hurt to promote it, especially when theres a possibility to sell more.
  12. Im just connecting the dots. Its what makes sense. Its all very 'Lost' if you will. There's all these story points scattered about various forms of media, and they all relate to each other in some way. Mostly. I swear, they decided to tell the story in the worst possible manner (drama CDs, manga, books, the only thing getting english translated being the crappy #reload story mode).
  13. Justice is Aria. Sol is Frederick. Those 2 and That Man were scientists on the gear project. That Man turned Aria into a gear, brainwashing her, destroying any of her past self. This enrages Sol who loved her, leading him to want to kill That Man. Of course, none of that is confirmed. Its just pure conjecture.
  14. On the topic of art in guilty gear, he does a lot of it (Daisuke). He designed the characters, yes, but he also does alot of other stuff. The covers for all the Jap releases were by him. Various promotional pieces were also by him (the Order Sol under the blue sky was one of my favs). He did the character select art in some of the earlier games, but I dont think he does them now. Pretty much all of the unlockable art isnt by him.
  15. Kefka seemed a given. The one I care about is the one who opposes him. Will it be Terra or will it not be Terra? (it better be...
  16. Rofl. Torn clothes to make manlier (About time they announced it tho). Didnt even notice this thread...
  17. Bridgett throws you to the moon.
  18. Actual concert or is that just the name?
  19. I get the feeling that the only thing that'll clear this up is a new interview.
  20. In regards to I-no not being there, this makes sense. She went on a rampage when around these characters last. Why would that man send her out against them?
  21. Everyone, this a joke. There are probably 20 people who will read that and go WHAT?!
  22. Buh. Wow, lots of posts overight... Having also played Judgement, I'll just second what Abominable said. Judgement should be considered about as canon ass Dust Strikers is, which is not at all. Its a rather basic story clearly only there for an excuse to have a beat-um-up.
  23. Well, I think its mainly people understanding what a gaiden is. A gaiden is just a side story, it all still happens, its just a break from the main story. Example: Kakashi Gaiden in the Naruto manga. Gave background to several important characters that wouldnt have been had otherwise. And I find it reasonable that several years after X series, Dizzy could look different. She didnt exactly look fully grown up. Using Sol as a reference point, I'd say she coulda grown more before stopping. And even if she didnt, its 8 years afterwards or something right? You shouldnt expect someone to look the same.
  24. Valentine is able to manipulate any gear, and Sin is part gear, so he can be controlled by her. Flaw to this could be pointed out in Sol, but his suppression device could cause that to not happen, and he was getting headaches. Also, evidence is pretty heavily in Dizzy's favor, not many things in the game have angel wings (yes, it shows her frozen in time, wings widely outstretched). Personally I dont find it so far fetched that Dizzy and Ky hooked up. Dizzys not aggressive at all (looks at Jam) and is a peaceful gear. I dont think Ky would outright attack a pretty lady, opening the door for understanding. It makes more sense then it might seem at first.
  25. The gaiden thing came from a random person who said Daisuke had said so in an interview. I dont actually think an interview was provided... And looking more at Raven, perhaps LIVE is just his brand of clothing? Like Riot and Preist. Reason being that Live appears all over him. And I didnt know about the words on the belt buckle in the order thing. Mind providing more interesting tidbits from argent?
