This kinda thing bothers me why shut down videos and channels of footage of this, they've announced the character so its not spoiling any story or hype building for the release of the character as they have officially shown footage, at this point its free advertising. However I do respect Arcs as a company and don't want this to come off as whiney. Also Kanom id be interested to have a general idea of how you've obtained the character fully playable im not asking for details or trying to get it. Im just interested if its insider privileges or did you acquire this some other way?
  2. Thanks for posting that Link EXonestar, gives me something to train for. Listen guys im looking to collect PSN ID's for people in the UK who are playing GG Xrd I find going on-line and waiting for matches vs randoms over the Internet really inefficient for time vs matches played. I'm hoping that we can kinda get a pool of players together to play semi regular. Id also like to start doing some kind of on-line tournament im thinking 15 players one and off event, should be really easy to organise and if interest is high i could be a once a week kinda thing. Gimme some feedbacks guys and drop them ID's!

  4. Guys playing the PS3 version now on 'speed' setting and it looks and runs amazing I cant see where theres any compromise for the visuals. Also everything is in full english.
  5. Hi Guys London player here. I've been out of the fighting game scene for a while but jumping back in for 'Xrd'. I live in Sutton and travel to Kingston and back for work so six Winged Angel we could probably play offline. Due to my lifestyle: 'Salaryman with a Son I see on the weekends' going to HOG is mostly out of the question however I am available offline and Online most weeknights between 6 and 10pm. Kanashimi in order to drum up more interest/activity from us UK based players we should think about online tournaments, personally I think Friday night single elimination would be great, anyone got any experience with this kinda thing?
  6. I created this account a while back but I haven't been active on the forums. I'm planning on getting back into fighters for 'Xrd'. I live in London and have played pretty much every 2D (and 3D) fighter on a casual/intermediate level. I used to play a lot of 3rd strike at Casino (Goodge Street) back in the day. I just wanted to formally introduce myself to the forum.

While I am not planning on getting the Jap release or think I could make the EDT time I want to give props for setting this up this is exactly the kind of thing fighting game communities outside of Japan needs. Id like to register my interest for future events for this kinda thing maybe single elimination on a Friday night, heck it may be something I would organise myself in the future in which case I might wanna swap notes about running this kind of thing Sanger.

Thanks for the reply Doragonkoroshi, sorry its a bit belated, ive been playing around with EXE Beast pressure and its quite sick still not getting FRC all the time but ive been playing on and off recenlty just started a new job but im getting there. Having good fun with test i love characters with setups etc. Is here the right place to for match up specific stuff? The matchup section is quite dead.... So any tips vs Chipp? I find i dont really get the chance to setup net/tree formations and test doesnt seem to have any 'Get of me' moves. Main problems seem to be his teleport (air/above) into that 2 hit cross up he has it doesnt seem punishable after normal block.
  9. @ 4r5: ok i get what yr saying high guts alone doesnt effect the burst bar just the fact that you can take more damage in the loewe HP range, cheers. rtl42: i understand the concept now youve explained it cheers.
  10. Lol at Axl's clean hit(box) Thanks for the contribution 4r5, so re the guts and the burst bar is it the higher yr guts the quicker you build burst?

Hold on sorry rtl42 i just read the guard bit on the encyclopedia and your right it doesnt say anything about taking 'more' damage if its higher but i saw something to that effect on a tutorial video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC2O1-vDitQ&playnext_from=TL&videos=tO7gKvSL2Z8 @ the 5 minute mark the video goes on about gaurd bare and how a character takes more damage when its fuller. What do you reckon? EDIT: ok i get what your saying attacks just do full damage as they are counterhit and not subject to proration rather than the damage going up or the characters defense going down. Sorry bout the Double posting.
  12. @RedDraken look at the link ELC1837 provided at the top of this page got informaiton on the entire system including the Guard bar, when its full all specials become counterhit.
  13. The gaurd bar increases as your oponent blocks your attacks, the higher it is when you actually land a hit the more damage they take. Somone else might be able to give a more coprehensive answer im new(ish) to the game as well.
  14. Yeah cheers for the reply. Guts is something i can get my head round fairly easily its pretty much similar to the way HP/Defense ratings work in other 2D fighters. As far as weight classes goes this is in other games as well but might not be visually obvious and a list like the one on the encyclopedia is really useful. So with the gravity is it the lower the rating the easier/longer they can be juggled for? So pot for example ive seen really simple SW combos done on him and that due to his low gravity rating? Sorry to keep asking questions just the gravity chart doesnt have an explanation. EDIT: yes it does, just need to look at it from a different screen.
  15. cheers for that ive been trying to find a link to that page, i remember seeing it before sometime ago. So if im considering what character im up against guts isnt something i need to take into account, but weight is.
  16. Ive looked around a bit but couldnt find it but is there a comprehnsive list of the weight classes and where each character fits on this also same thing for guts ratings. Also could anyone explain to me what these ratings mean? im assuming weight classes is to devide the characters into groups defining how many times they can be juggled? and im hazarding a guess that guts would be something to do with Clean Hits?

  18. Cools ill read up about crow patterns and see what is possible from there. On a seperate note can anyone give me a few sample blockstrings and corner lockdown patterns? I heard Tests lockdown was ridiculous.
  19. Im pickin up Test and this thread is a great help. 1 thing i want to ask which may not sound relevant to you guys but something im curious about is phantom curse, is there a way to influence what crow pattern you get?
  20. Cheers for the replies. Been playing around with both HOS and Test. As i said earlier i will probaly try to get somewhat good with both of them but lean more towards Test for the time being main reason i asked is because just picking up the game sytem alone is a bit tricky let alone picking a character which for all i know is really technical. So im not so much as concern with how strong these characters are but more ease of use while im new to the game. @ Wirya yeah i hear what your saying about characters maybe not being as effective if/when a new GG is released but i never really pick based on strength/tiers i normally pick just due to design and normally that ends up being weaker characters.

Cheers for the replies, its not so much im asking you to pick a main for me its more 'i like Order Sol and Test equally' as a fresh starter which of these characters in anyones opinion is easier/harder to learn. Doomie, tbh ill probably try and main both HOS and Test and lean more towards test for the time being, theres a low profile tourney going on this weekend so i wanna be competent with test by then been playing around with the game for the last week or so.   23. Hi as the thread title suggests im having a bit of trouble deciding a main. Joined this forum when BB came out and im pretty good at BB using Ragna & Hakumen. So yeah im trying GG. Im not completely new to the game but this is the first time im trying to learn the game properly making correct use of long combos RC,FRC, Impossible dust etc. To be honest i really like Order Sol and Test however can anyone give me there opinion to how complex these characters are and are they suited to a new player in terms of technical ability required in order to play them effectively? I know order sol has 1 of the easier FRC (from Action charge) however the micromanagement of his 'special gauge' is putting me off, how important is his 'special gauge'? Should i be trying to fill it constantly then saving it for big combos, or just play with it in the backround and charge it if i want/need to? Test seems quite solid and i used to use him way back on GGX on Dreamcast, but this was only at casual level. ive been playing around with badlands loops but beyond this im not sure what i should be doing with him. I mentioned Sol in the thread title because im assuming he is the go to character for a new player like myself. Ive been messing around with SW loops and gatling into 2D, GF - FRC continue pressure and he feels quite solid. But unless hes a fair bit easier i might as well put my time into characters im more interested in. Any help is appreciated Thanks in advance Ash.
