  1. If support is shown for moving GGAC Singles and Teams to Sunday, that works for me. Everyone post up your thoughts! Thanks : )
  2. Cool, thanks! For now we'll keep it as CT, until any further CS news from either yourself or Matthias.
  3. @Kamui: GGAC Singles and Teams will run on Saturday. BlazBlue Singles and Teams will run on Sunday.
  4. UPDATE: SSFIV Singles will be CAPPED AT 128 entrants. There will be no exceptions at the door, so pre-register now if you want to be 100% certain of your entry into SSFIV singles. Arcade Legends will also be CAPPING VENUE AT 140 people per day. LAST MINUTE SCHEDULE CHANGE: Teams tournaments will now run AFTER singles on whichever day the singles tournament is held for that particular game. Registration will also be taken either after or during the singles tournament. You can still pre-reigster for teams tournaments online. SSFIV 3v3 on Saturday SSBB Doubles and Crew Battles on Saturday GGAC 3v3 on Saturday T6 3v3 on Sunday SSBM Doubles and Crew Battles on Sunday HDR 3v3 on Sunday ALSO: Jackie Chan and Hokuto no Ken have been eliminated from the PU2010 lineup. We need to focus our attention on other games. Casuals may still run. BlazBlue is also on deck for the chopping block. I'm unsure how many people would actually want to play CT Singles/Teams, and I haven't heard anything about a non-input lagging CS yet. Let me hear everyone's opinion, and if you have CS info, get at me through pm.
  5. PU2010 needs your TVs, systems and games for the weekend! The official incentive list is up here, and YOU MUST PM ME WITH WHAT YOU CAN BRING. FOR 3 DAYS: 1 TV + 1 System + Any # of Games = $10 off venue fee or FOR 3 DAYS: 1 System + Any # of Games = $5 off venue fee Each additional System you bring is an additional $1 rebate. If you have lots to bring, PM me and we'll get you a special deal.
  6. Unfortunately it's just impossible sometimes to get everyone's schedule lined up. Stuff happens. Anyway, I'm good with keeping it on Saturday and having Matt run the brackets. If others would prefer something else, like Matt said, give your opinions : )
  7. @Mac: Matt needed me to make GGAC on Saturday for his schedule, and he's running the brackets. So I can only change the day if Matt is still available on Sunday. Friday needs to stay teams day so we can test things and get everything set up early without worrying about an actual main tournament to run.
  8. I'm with Matthias on this one. I'd love for PU2010 to run CS rather than CT so we can get more people interested and potentially give BB a proper prize. We would need at least 4 BB:CS setups and the support of the BB players. Make it happen!
  9. There are instructions within each team tourney description, but I'll add a reminder onto the big top paragraph. EDIT: Okay, so the list of products is now properly organized with venue passes on top, then singles, then team tournaments. I've also added clarification for signing up for team tournaments, and general reminders to purchase your venue pass. Hopefully this makes everything simpler to navigate and easier to understand.
  10. It's intended for only one person to sign up the entire team. So you'd collect the other $10 from your teammates before registering, and each of you would still only be paying $5. This way it's easier to organize all the team information, and only one person on the team has to worry about registering. One person forgetting to register won't cause errors come tournament time.
  11. Only pre-registration through the PowerUp website will be accepted. Thanks : ) Speaking of, pre-registration is now online and will run until May 24th. So you've got plenty of time to sign up and get your fees paid, but don't forget! Initial prizes have also been added. More prizes will come based on pre-registration numbers for the games. The third and final PU2010 avatar design has also been added to the PU2010 Avatar Pack. I hope you enjoy it Thanks for the support so far!
  12. With PC emulation? It's a decent idea, but I'm not really planning on it. I'd assume that not enough people have access to practice it, yet. Having an adequate number of setups would also be a concern, and then having the right compatibility arcade sticks / controllers. However, if someone wants to run it as a side tourney at some point, feel free. If enough people are interested in CS as the main BB game, and could also guarantee at least a few setups, then I may consider running it officially.
  13. Big update to the OP. Added a lot to the rules section (most of which doesn't affect GG or BB). The rules are now very long and because I could not find code here on Dustloop to hide the rules with a click, I have linked to the official rules page at the beginning of the OP. GGAC has now been made a main game, and HDR has been moved to the side tourney area. Also, I'm curious if you all think having GGAC teams and BB teams on Friday is a good idea. The tentative schedule for the weekend has also been updated to more accurately reflect what will happen over the course of PU2010.
  14. So are you guys recommending that I add a GG team tournament to the Friday team tourney lineup? It'd be easy enough to do since PS3s wouldn't be needed for it.
  15. I've been thinking of opening up prereg at the beginning of February. You will not absolutely have to pay online, but for venue fee it could potentially be cheaper. If you intend on coming for one or two days, it will be $10 per day in person. Otherwise pay $20 online and we'll have a 3-day pass waiting for you on Friday. As for tournament sign-up, we will be accepting walk-ups until further notice. Those who prereg have priority, so if we have to cap the amount of people who can fit in the venue for certain games on a certain day we may not accept walk-ups. If we do, then there will be a time schedule for signing up for the games.
  16. That's a good point about HDR. It's hard to tell how many people will show for it, but it did really well at Season's Beatings this year. I think one of the best ways to see what the main tournaments will be is by seeing what kind of pre-registration patterns emerge. Once pre-reg is open on PowerUp then I'll be able to see much easier if GG should replace BB. And yes, CS could be a wild card if it's released by then. Too early to say for now what will happen. I shall go ahead and bump up AC's entry fee to $10, though.
  17. It will switch to CS as long as the game is released a week ahead of the tournament. Since Matt wouldn't be able to make it Sunday, I think having AC on Saturday is the best bet. What does everyone think? I would make sure to have BB the same day if that is preferable. The entry fee can be made $10. If that's alright with everyone I can go ahead and change it. As a main tourney, though, I'm not so sure. It would need at least 25-30 entrants. Right now I'm not even sure if BB will get that when looking at recent showings around here. For now it's wait and see. Whichever game is going to draw more people will be the main tourney game. So if you want AC as the main, then get lots of people excited about it No mapping for Tekken is a rule that is preferred by Sluch and Dr4go, the people who will be running the Tekken brackets at PowerUp 2010 and who've run many tournaments at AL and elsewhere for the Cincy and Kentucky scenes. No, you cannot easy special in BB. As the rules state: Easy specials are a kind of programmed combo, and as such are not allowed. Thanks for all the responses!
  18. GGAC has been added as an official side-tourney! Speak up here so we can get an idea about how many people are interested!
  19. You got it exactly right as to why we're announcing early. We want to make sure this event is great and that everyone has a spectacular time.
