  1. Most Carl players online seems to be reasonably good, I guess they have to be though, the character has so many flaws that they can't afford to not know what they're doing. He has so many loops that can be preformed if your between him and the puppet its crazy. As for isolating him, thats pretty damn hard to do when he has D22release and D41236release. What I've found to work alright for the weaker players is to camp the puppet and hit it with a fast move every time he activates it, forcing him to come in. The problem is that a good player can try to get you to use a heavier move like 3C against the puppet and attack during the recovery.
  2. anyone have advice for this matchup? its not exactly common, but I find it difficult to pay attention to both him and the puppet.
  3. Why does RC beat burst? Also, is there a good way to predict the timing on an opponents burst to try to 5D it? Lastly are there any good videos demonstrating/explaining the j.2C loop?
  4. heh, thanks, Aquas told me later that he made a thread after I asked him, didn't know about it until after I posted though.
  5. So, how do I deal with a noob arakune player who thinks he can win by spamming the overhead cloud, 4D and 2D? I know this shouldn't be a problem when I'm not in a corner, but I'm not cursed and still not sure how to get in?
  6. Uh what overdrive reaVer? Blazin, what in particular are you having trouble with? Her drive moves or normals? This is one matchup where Haku's 6A and 6B really shine.
  7. Using a HDMI output?
  8. How can I upload videos of online matches?
  9. I've been trying to counter his gard point moves, but more often than not I screw up at get hit.
  10. Any hints for dealing with Bang's mixup? This match doesn't seem too hard theoretically, but my friend always activates that fu rin Alakazam shit and I screw up.
  11. I know you can at least follow with a J.C if your close to the ground, maybe j214C after that? As for 6A, that move is wonderful, beats out j.C pretty consistently, though I don't know why you would consider 2A to be anti-air. It really is, falling straight down means certian death against nu and arakune. I don't know if rachel has a good followup to punish it though. The move only really seems useful to get the defensive frames in the middle of a badly timed air dash.
  12. ug thats pretty expensive, Is there a cheap stick that I could get until I can afford to spend the 100+ on a better one? (I just bought a playstation 3 so I could get BB, I'm really tight on money now)
  13. Check out the first match of this video: http://dic.nicovideo.jp/v/sm7055791

  14. You forgot to mention that both of Haku's overheads use three stars. If hes at less that that you don't need to worry about mixup at all. Also, remember that if Haku is countering your projectiles hes not taking chip damage, and if he hits them with his sword, he gains a full star. Basically be careful getting close when he has full meter. If hes low, go to town.
  15. I still call for video proof from either side.
  16. Yeah, you tried that against me twice, I must brag that it didn't work though.
  17. Anyone else love how Haku shouts "Crap!" whenever he gets hit with an overhead in this fight?
  18. Are there any videos of the super counter being used for this purpose?
  19. Yeah I know, 2C is a perfect opening for arakune's j.3D.
  20. Which are you talking about, the distortion drive or astral heat? The distortion can counter special, just doesn't freeze them as ryko said, I don't know about the heat.
  21. I find her j.D really hard to counter because its hard to tell if she'll do j.d or j.2d. If you expect the wrong one she gets a free combo. I guess this means I should be countering with 6d instead of 5D, but its still difficult. Most good tao players seem to favor a hit and run stragety until they hit with a drive move and link into a combo.
  22. I can confirm that the spit is a projectile... unfortuanetly. Its probably still worth going for that counter though as it should get you out of the corner. (Can't swear by this, I only tested against arakune's 2D, not his corner pressure.) Yeah its confusing now that blazeblue added a drive button. Does anyone have a good way of dealing with arakune's cloud that floats above your head? The other two clouds are pretty easy to deal with, but that one is horrid.
  23. I think you misunderstood which attacks I'm talking about. When I said spitting attack, I meant the one that he uses for his corner lockdown, (2D I think it is) not his distortion drive (which would be pretty useless against haku as an anti-air). His j.3D has a bit of range on it, but nothign crazy. As for his j.214214D, the move extends out from directly under arakune, essentially shielding him, though the bugs only come out if it hits.
  24. It seems like every time I pick carl, the other person decides to not pick their main, and goes with ragna. Any suggestions on this matchup? I've lost it every time I've played it.
  25. Just my input having played this matchup a bunch from the other side. If the haku player if using barrier against your strings expect a counter attempt soon, barrier opens up just enough of a gap in ragna's strings to get in a 2D or 6D. Also, if you rush in with hells fang and are blocked, don't follow with tsuika, its pretty easy to counter.
