Most Noel players (good or bad) just tend to guess where you throw swords. It looks like they anticipate your swords but they're taking big risks because Noel's strength is in her ability to rush down (although some can evade on reaction if you make it a habit to use D all day). What I found as a good substitute for D is her C attacks. She jumps in at you, 2C. She rushes in at you, 5C(CCCCCC). She blocks, Act Pulsar. Act Pulsar enough times and they'll eventually eat a combo. Use your D pokes at almost full screen. Also, don't try to j2D when Noel is running because it automatically lowers her hitbox which makes her swords completely whiff.

I played in a tournament this previous Saturday and I lost to an excellent Noel player in the grand finals. During my grand finals, I found a really interesting tidbit while playing that I've never seen before and it's not mentioned in this thread. When you do your 236236D Distortion and Noel is guarding and has at least 50% meter, Noel can Counter Assault to move away from the Distortion Drive itself and to avoid close range pressure to put distance between you and Noel. Noel also will not take damage during this as well since her Counter Assault looks like she's sliding to the other side of you (which has a lot of invincibility) and does not even attack. I found that the player only did that when I went to chase after him after executing the Distortion. If I didn't chase him, he did not Counter Assault even if he had meter. This tactic can throw off your game a lot if you're not prepared for it. Keep your mid/full screen tactics handy during your Distortion when she has meter.

When I told people of how bad they were nerfing Nu, the majority of the responses I heard were "GOOD!", "THAT BITCH FINALLY GOT WHAT SHE DESERVES", and "YOU MEAN THE GAME IS PLAYABLE AGAIN?" It kinda made me cry on the inside.

There are a few things that Nu players must be aware of when playing against Tager and two of them have to do with meter. Sparkbolt, 360s/720s, and sledges. Sledges are easy: don't get too "D" happy or you'll eat a sledge. Learn to wait for a whiffed sledge and punish. Sparkbolts can fuck up anyone's game plan if they're not paying attention to the character specific meter. Sparkbolt + Magnetism Distortion = ;_; Last but not least (and probably most obvious) are his command throws. You see him getting too close to you, either backdash or Act Pulsar as soon as the opportunity arrives. Nu's major advantage over Tager is zoning so you don't have to eat those 720s. (My soul dies on the inside every time I'm caught in a 720.) Random tidbits: TK Crescent Saber is an excellent way of catching a Tager off guard because most of them will be too focused on how to close in on you. And as plenty of people before me have said, Gravity Field doesn't only have to be used for combos. I hate his little airdash thingy.

Reading this thread depresses me. I'm okay with slight nerfing but this is just ridiculous. I'll still stick it though and main Lambda. I mean, she's a robot loli after all.

It was mainly me being a little bit of a smartass, but I do like how easy it is to win with Nu. Tales, you probably didn't watch me play but I did switch to Baiken after I lost with Bridget at the GG tourney at Gonzo's. Oh man, I forgot that you were even doing these! I hate having to work on Mondays. You run these on PSN, right?

I just don't like having to work for wins. That's why I picked Nu! Also, lolirobots are awesome. So I will stick to my guns and main Lambda.

Act Pulsar is a godsend for this matchup.

This is probably common knowledge but I'll throw it out there anyways. Rushing Ragna while he wakes up will earn you a free Inferno Divider because of the insane invincibility on it. You can try to bait and punish but it wouldn't be highly advisable unless this Ragna is a scrub. Don't try meaty attacks on Ragna. Keep him at mid to full screen and you're golden. If not, 6A+B if you got meter.

Shit was mad fun at Nine's. I gotta work on Guilty Gear because I'm straight up free in that game. Now I actually have to read shit in the character threads in this site. Me, being the genius that I am, locked my keys in my house and my roommates are gone for the weekend. So I probably won't be back in my house until HOPEFULLY Sunday night.
