  3. Seems like I should use less 5c mid-blockstring because it keeps whiffing for some reason. Besides the short range, 3c sounds like a godlike idea, i'll keep my mind on that. And yes, I'm going to have to really drill j.214b enders into my head, because I use j.214a too much. I NEED that force neutral tech because these idiots are like rolly-pollies and keep getting out of the corner for free when I could have easily prevented that. I REALLY want to get better... My PSR with Tao is already 400+ and my win % is 80, but with relius its like.... 24 psr after about 20 games.. with like 30% win. :[ its frustrating losing to REALLY bad players :/
  4. ^ lol I'm uploading two vids, one where it went okay, and one where it just went terribly. And you give me pointers on these matches. Remember, this is like day 3 relius, the one that went terribly made me really want to find out how the hell this character works, because i couldn't think of any options Relius had on the spot. and Mu was just mashing the shit out of 5c/2c/6d, and EVERY single 214a/214b failed. It was sad. I dont want it to happen again.   5. Oh yeah, 236a 6d/2d is a pretty good setup... i have to use that more against mashy tagers. So you're saying its not about his mixup, but more pressure and frame traps? Because that sucks if his only overhead is the stupid 6a, or the stupid litchi-style "instant" j.c RC j.b 5a etc.. because I need to make them scared to block high to at least GET these low options, 3c had pretty good options, 6d midscreen and 236c at corner. I'm not going to worry about his oki until i can hit them INTO the combo in the FIRST place lol
  6. I would love to know what your typical blockstring is. Because that's my problem. I've actually been using 214a and 214b (Even though i get CH'd out of it like every time lol) My blockstring is 5b 6d 66 5d 6d... into like a 6a or something. I can't see what kinda mixup you CAN do, maybe i haven't seen enough match videos, but I'm having a VERY hard time opening up players, especially because everyone just mashes 2a like a scrub and hits me out whenever i try to throw or overhead. I mean there's GOT to be some sort of CH frame trap that I can combo off of right?
  7. I need help BADLY with Relius's neutral game. I mean, his combos are fun and easy enough to pick up in training mode, but the range of his normals, how he optimally uses ignis midscreen to get in, and correct movement is a awkward as hell to me :[ What do you do to get in? First of all, coming from a Tao players perspective my neutral game might be skewed, but i need to learn anyways. And also, I'm getting beat up by 0% and 3% win percent people with Relius. THATS how bad it is =w=
  8. All you need to do is 6b in some combos and you naturally get more damage. Yay ragna.
  9. How did the last NCI go? I mean technically we aren't adding games, we're just replacing CSII with Extend, and since I didn't go to the last NCI I can't gauge how that worked out. Was it bad?
  10. The loop works on Relius fine. Makoto and Ragna are pretty much impossible. The ones you did with the delayed timing, the exact combo CAN be done in EX, but it was so freakin hard, that with the damage output comparatively, it didn't seem worth it. For non delay characters, it could be more usefull since its decent corner push and ACTUAL oki.
  11. Nice Myung! I would personally hold onto the BB copies though, especially since its in pretty high demand and there aren't that many around the bay, you can set it on the machines and work magic until late January/February I'm guessing :3 But that's just me :P Its the 7th
  12. You're right, often times they'll fall through. But its more matchup/height specific than timing, you always have to hit 6c right before you land it seeems. CA is mostly worse because of the terrible speed nerf, but yeah the hitbox is retarded too. I've already done it once, when carl was in my face, and I CA and he just kept goin in on me like nothing happened LOL
  13. 6c startup is way faster in EX, thats why its so difficult to do it on CS2. You're talking about the AB2 combo right?
  14. Yeah, the high jump part is what gets me, and you have to hit it FAST.. so its basically 6c instant 2/3->7/8236b and I screw it up a lot
  15. Thats the thing, you have to think fast on hit confirming now, because depending on crouch/standing ch/non ch, the combo really changes. Yep, if they're standing, midscreen, and its not counter hit and you land a 2a/2b/5b, you're not getting much besides your standard ground mash. RC 6a is the only possible launch method after that, and boy, AB2 combos seem even harder @~@ that last one I did took a couple tries you have to whiff almost ALL of the "light" hits of cat 2 during the AB2 combos, because if you hit them with even a couple it prorates so bad it drops.

I'm have no idea.. but the vid does point out some big differences that you need to get used to like the 2b 5b gatling, and mostly untechable time for different moves now, especially drives (IE 6a(CH) has so much untech time you can 6b and combo after/j.2d~b JC j.5bb works). Thanks. Yeah, the 5b anything has to go out the window unless you crouch confirm it. I still have a habit of dash 5b 3c and everytime I do I facepalm, because all I can do is bowling ball after..

  18. j.4d~a does not combo into 5b/dash5b unless its counter hit. But after a deeper look, it looks like j.4d~a dash 5b works if they're crouching. Its very tight timing though, you have to really buffer the 66 during the 5b fast. Its doable though. From there since its a crouch confirm you can totally go to your 6a BnB.
  19. There's a new years gaming thing being planned on new years eve, you can probably hit that up although I'm probably not coming :/ So far, its only Vineeth, Dabbit, and I who have copies, Myung isn't getting his until later because playasia failed at the worst moment :/
  20. Oh whoops sorry xD I always j.4d~c -> j.c as a habit because it'll autopilot into pressure or damage, but I'll check on that in a couple hours. Yeah, you're still gonna have to do those crappy combos though, its hard to hit confirm a raw 6a every single time. Basically now, you hit that 5b 5c 236aa whatever shenanigans on the ground, but in that time you're hitting him, you should watch if you have crouch-confirmed that combo, and always end in 6c to push him far. So instead of 236aa 5d~a/b/c whatever mixup, you hitconfirm it into eg. 5b 2b 5c 2c 6c on crouch, or 5b 2b 5c 236a 5d~? whatever on standing stuff. Btw, you HAVE to get rid of the 5b 3c habit. I'm still doing it and its doing more harm than good, because the only thing you can do after is bowling ball, and since bowling ball is faster, and the 3c tech is faster, it doesn't oki setup as well. Its only valuable in the corner now, so its has to be a backburner combo. Also, you multiquote by checking the the little notation next to "reply with quote" and then you +reply to thread
  21. Also, everyone should start drilling 6a(1hit) 5d~6 j.5d~a land 6c, because the timing between j.5d~a and land 6c is really tight for her BnB now. The jist of it is that you have to A cancel the j.5d as fast as possible, and hit 6c with perfect timing with no mashing, or else you'll slightly charge the 6c and you'll lose frames for you to hit the combo.
  22. Pretty much what he said. Btw, maybe I'm just an idiot, but did Tao have a 6a(1hit) to 6b link in CS2? Because I'm able to do 2b 6a(1hit) 6b blockstring. Or maybe I just didn't try new things in cs2 =w= either way, its a great mixup option now. Mystic, this is your midscreen BnB. It'll take them out of the screen 6a -> JC -> j.8d~a -> jump -> j.c -> j.9d~a -> 2d~5 -> j.9d~9 -> j.2d~c -> j.c -> 5d~6 -> j.c -> 9d~9 -> 2d~6 -> cat2 (3140) On top of that, if you have a 5b (CH/crouching) starter, its nets 3.6. j.c starter nets around 3.8 for the same combo. A lot more for hitconfirming right. EDIT: Nio- I'm not too sure what you're asking, you mean if he's standing and you do 4d~a? There's so much landing recovery off of it that it'll only barely hit 5b after only on counterhit.

I'm guessing its high corner push now for Tao, so I'm guessing your midscreen BnB if the JC combo is possible is 5b 5c JC j.b j.2b j.c 6a(1hit) 5d~6 j.5d~a 6c (4d if corner hit, 214d if not quite)
