  1. It probably hasn't been specifically LISTED as a combo yet, but i'm sure many people have tried it and passed it on. 6c is an extremely high risk/high reward move, 4k is almost a requirement after 6c (6c ->236cc -> 2d~9 -> bnb~) This one is tougher, but more fun :3 6c -> 66 -> taunt -> 214d -> j.3d~b -> 5c -> (2d~9 -> j.c)x2 -> 2d~9 -> 236bbb -> 126bbb~
  2. Props ronove, this thread rocks. Even tho I'm pretty dead, I still enjoy watching and cheering for Tao's from the sidelines :3
  3. This thread is like... Dead o__o
  4. Hey guys, im kinda back. Bb aint so easily accessible in portland...-^-""... Im having trouble with... j.B+C -> taunt -> 236CC -> blah blah blah~ 236c blackbeats constantly. Taoftw showed me before.. But i forgot...T__T ...
  5. Yeah... I had it on CH on training unfortunately XD I forgot... so try it on haku again with CH on 3c, and it'll work ^w^;;... but if its just a standard hit, then yeah, you'll have to cut one j.c -> 5d~6 short :P
  6. Found an easy combo with decent damage for begginning tao drive loopers against haku/ragna/jin etc. 3c -> 5d~6 -> j.c -> 5d~6 -> j.c -> 5d~6 -> j.a -> j.a -> 9d~9 -> j.c -> 9d~9 -> 236bb -> 236bbb~
  7. I actually got a quick question for Tao players out there. 236bbb~ is a standard among Tao combo's, and sometimes, depending on the combo, it doesn't come out properly, more than often I'll accidentally hit j.b instead. So I went to training and put it on inputs to see what I was doing wrong. to my surprise, my input was PERFECT, it was a perfectly put in 236bbb, but it still came out j.b instead. It must be timing, and its pretty annoying. I've also seen some tao players use a strange 41236bbb~. It seems to cancel out other commands and make the 236bb clear at the end of the combo. True or false?
  8. Its ok, i get into those whiffs too :P, I was able to do it perfectly the first time, then I keep practicing it and I completely fail XD Sometimes I fail the 9d~6 too. I dont really suggest this, but I mash a little to complete loop combo's. Unless you practice like crazy, You gotta learn the timing, and get used to it. I suggest you check out my thread :P Visual cues help alot, go here and try it yourself :3 http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6759
  9. .....? You're confusing even me XD first of all, you shouldn't be hitting 8d~6, 9d~6 is the way to go. Remember, general rule of thumb with tao drive loops is as she flips, you push j.c. j.d in succession, and you HOLD 9 the ENTIRE TIME.. until 236bb of course XD. Another general rule of thumb is that at a certain height, you CAN'T do 236bb -> j.c -> 9d~6 -> 236bbb~, you'll do 236bb -> j.c -> 6d~6 instead, and it whiffs. You might wanna check out some other combo's. If anything, also, just do this one. (CH) 5b OR 5c -> 6c -> 236cc -> 2d~9 -> j.c -> 9d -> j.c -> 9d -> 236bbbb -> 3d (If you know how to, do 236bb -> 236bbbb instead) Its SIMPLE, its UNIVERSAL (Works on almost ALL characters), and it does craptons of damage (4300~). You might wanna start here. PS:Btw nice avy :3 k-on rawks! >:D
  10. I cringe just looking at it -_0;;
  11. Np! >:3 Also, another word of advice, Tao is very matchup picky, drive loop combo's completely whiff on some characters, persay 6c -> 5d~6 -> j.c -> 5d~6 whiff's Noel completely, but if you use it on jin you can go for an all out combo. Keep trying!
  12. Well first, I suggest you HOLD your direction forward for 5d~6. The wording for 5d~6 is very misleading for most beginning tao players, all you REALLY do during a basic drive loop combo is (Hold 6) j.c -> j.d -> j.c -> j.d etc etc.. You shouldn't be changing drive directions randomly then, unless you have some shakey fingers lol XD Also, check out our new thread "Taokaka Visual Combo Tutorials" on a little more hands on approach with Tao's combo's I'll be making begginner combo video in a week or so, for basic tao players. Until then, keep practicing the drive combo's, If you can get (j.a -> j.c) x 3 down, you have some of tao's game already >:3
  13. o__0... is that combo even possible? It must be absolutely bucket-tons of perfectly timed A cancels on those drive combo's, how could you hit that many drives back to back? Meh, I dunno, someone's gotta though :P
  14. Sorry sorry j.4D~a :P mah bad, you're in the air after b+c XD;;;... But yeah, its hard to land constantly, I always use 66 -> j.b -> j.c -> 9d~6 -> 236bbbb by habit every b+c i land anyways If you look at the High Tier Tao mirror match I uploaded, taosis uses it around 0:58 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfpXtFJgVhM Edit: Also TaoFTW uses it midcombo as well. he doesn't have to 66 though because he had them in the wall. Combo #11 :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMrqEzK23S0
  15. I use it constantly to close in with my other drive mixups. Its got more distance and its faster than your standard D. Only use mid-combo I know of is b+c -> 4d~a -> 66 -> 5c blah blah~ its tough to constantly use.
  16. Oh yeah, btw, how did you record HD quality for you combo video? I'm guessing you're using one of the PCI slots in a desktop for HD recording.. I'm tired of standard def :(

  17. o__0... wouldn't that be for like...the Carl threads? -__-;;???
  18. 0-0... Wow, that was fast XD, yeah, thanks for writing the inputs in! They seem pretty legit to me, you dont really have to write them perfectly anyways, because the video is there for them to refer too Yeah, good luck with TaoFTW's combo's though, they're a little more tricky :P Yeah, that looks great so far! One thing to keep in mind though, that is for a short clip like that on YouTube, the sound will cut off very early, you probably already noticed , thats why you should put them all together in on video, in skill level. But the flashing icons for inputs were pretty cool! As for capture, I had a hard time making my video too, because of my HDTV, I had to deal with conversion lag and I was used to it, and when I record I go to my standard AV tv... it really was a pain to do some of these combo's myself, so I hear ya. Not too sure what you need, but if you give us inputs or something me and Tao might be able to figure something out. Tao is also busy working on another bigger video sponsored by someone big, so it might be awhile :P XD
  19. Yeah it would, I'll see what we can do to get the inputs going >:3 I'm sure TaoFTW and I can organize it. It sounds very time consuming though, since Advanced has like 14 long combo's, and Intermediate has 21 different combo's as well :/ Good idea though >:D
  20. Oh sorry D: I meant like if someone were to ask about a certain combo, then they wouldn't need to ask "The fourth one" or something. Maybe I should just make an inputs thread specifically for the video's..... Btw... REAL SOVIET DAMAGE!! XDD
  21. A couple combo's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi6eBe2QRWk
  22. True, carl does have it much worse :P I dont really understand what you mean by "properties", but there are a couple of fun facts about it. It does 1 dmg, so you CAN kill someone with it, its just ridiculously funny. It also prorates 150%!! Thats why taunt combo's do so much damage, because the damage you did before started prorating alot, but you then bring some of the damage back up AFTER you do the taunt if you hit successfully. Double taunt combo's aren't even funny XD. You can see a nasty example of a taunt combo, while he was "Almost becoming two!" 'd. Combo #3. A nasty 7684 dmg >:3 A normal 236236D while "Almost becoming two!" doesn't do NEARLY as much damage. Try it yourself! :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMrqEzK23S0 I dont know everything about it, others do though :P
