Hilda is a sweet character.

Merkava is really cheap and I'm not entirely sure how to deal with him in neutral. Mainly against patient Merkavas who fly outside of midrange and backdash a lot. 5B beats most of her options at the start of the round, so I'm already losing momentum there. I don't get how B+C is supposed to shut down fly because if they just fly outside of that range I don't see what you can do. Fireballs keep you from getting in that range, 66 seems to beat everything unless you make a hard read (it whiff punishes really well too), and he can apparently fly above lynchpin. 66B/C doesn't seem to really do much for me in this matchup because it's too slow to catch them from jumping or even backdashing most of the time. He can seemingly just easily backdash out of a lot of her mixups and 5C/cookie snatch keeps me from getting much started. It's just really hard for me to keep him pinned down (pun intended) and actually be able to do anything to him that isn't just punishing him for screwing up or hoping he can't block on oki.

After playing her for a while, yeah I feel like there's no way she's low tier like the arcadia list said (which a lot of people still believe). If she had a real reversal I think she'd be really cheap so I'm almost glad she doesn't. Where is a more recent list out of curiosity?

I think the characters who give me the most issues atm are Carmine and Byakuya. Carmine I just don't know when I can ever actually hit him because blood everywhere. Byakuya it feels like a lot of his stuff just beats mine and I can't deal with him at neutral. Any advice for these two?

I'll probably use my setup for CS2 as well since I use my console for Battle Fantasia/KOF/NGBC/whatever the fuck I feel like. Redundant Marvel combos give me a migraines so it'd be a nice change.

Finally got my microswitches ordered so I guess I'll get into AC soon, and I'm done with BBCS until that fucking update comes out on consoles. Game's dumb as hell online (allow me to do stupid shit like ID or throw after HF on block since you can't IB > punish), and since almost everyone up here has some sort of (unfounded) hatred for the game I guess I'm shit out of luck anyway. Oh well, there's always 2002 UM which I am currently in love with and I don't even like KOF that much. LOL @ that video showing scrubby shit in both GG and BB.

Rob/Eric I just got Battle Fantasia for free (with my purchase of KOF XII and Guilty Gear 2 Overture) so we don't have to rely on Edgar's forgetful ass anymore LOL. I'll be sure to download another japanese 360 dating sim demo if I can find one, shit was hype lol. I got a bit to go for my PS2/3 stick, all I need to do now is get some new microswitches (maybe someone has some around here? gonna ask on SRK) and I'm good for the most part. Could use a new balltop and shaft cover though. I decided to learn Millia once I get everything situated, already getting a basic idea of what to do experimenting in practice mode and watching videos. She seems simple enough to me, just need time and practice.

Load times aren't bothering me really, but then again I played Sonic 2006 so pretty much anything's more tolerable than that.

Shit, I had to buy an old PSX to play Chrono Trigger, FFVIII, etc. PS2 wouldn't load PS1/CD based PS2 games anymore. You can put PSX data onto a PS2 memory card (I have FFVII and CT backed up on there iirc) but you can't load from them. Got so much PSX shit, but no games since most of mine from childhood either broke, got scratched up, or lost. I even had GG1 apparently since I came across the manual once, don't remember ever playing it though.

Lol yeah that Battle Fantasia was hype as fuuuuuuck. Been fooling around with it since Edgar let me borrow it. Found some nasty shit with Odile, no real point in trying to get extra serious in it like I do with most games but it's really not bad. Finally got back from Columbus, nice meeting some of you Dustloop guys. I think I did pretty well in the tournament, kinda thought of dropping out early because I stopped caring and I was already kinda irritated but I'm glad I didn't. Why did I have to face like every Bang there though? That last guy I lost to was kinda being a bitch too, heard that nigga complain every 2 god damn seconds. Good time though.

I finally got AC again so I can actually attempt to practice it now... might have to resort to my Fighter's Choice stick temporarily because my modded Mayflash is still KIA and I don't like playing non-Tekken games on pad. Yay for sprained wrists and sore fingertips.
