  1. Ah yeah, that guy did a bunch of really nice shooting game sticks. Are Byrdo sticks like 400$ or something? Because sticks from this guy seem to be about 200$ or more. Not a bad price for how nice the sticks are though.
  2. The timing for the block is exactly 1F if they do it properly, there's no buffer on it or anything. One thing hits you one frame, the other hits you the next (generally the physical attack always hits first). However keep in mind that the person doing the unblockable can simply alter his timing 1F and screw that up. Really there's no practical way to block an unblockable because it's basically a mixup where the difference is exactly 1F between high first or low first.
  3. Projectiles cause hitstop on the projectile and the person being hit by it, usually. Some I think don't have any hitstop though.
  4. But does it beat 6K? That's the important question.
  5. I believe if the APB takes them to the corner you can usually do P S TK.APB to finish it up. If you throw them into the corner with the regular throw and you feel like blowing some tension you can always do Throw, 6P APB, P S APB. :I The throw prorates 50% though so it's really not worth trying anything fancy with it unless it gives you the extra damage it takes to win a round.
  6. You can jump and throw a normal so you recover by landing just 1-2F after the other person wakes up for a totally safe Oki VS Sol. The timing is tight though, since VV has very short startup. Very important technique though, so make sure you really get it down.
  7. The green ring will show up even if you only tap the button for 1F. It always makes that 'pop' effect after you let off anyway. The FD in training mode is just glitchy, as it's always been.
  8. Yup, pretty standard Kenshiro stuff. To do it, you have to boost his C uppercut on the ground, then boost cancel on the third hit in the air. The combo is: 623C+E, A+C+E, D 236D > IAD j.A j.C |> D D 236236A
  9. You can just do: D > j.H jc.H jc.S P K S P K tk.APB. Or you can omit the second j.H to make it easier. It kinda depends on what character you are fighting though, the weight can screw up your hits.
  10. Yeah the training dummy just won't block it, it's dumb. I think it doesn't even have to be on the same frame or anything.
  11. Well, it seems that certain hits will always come first. If it's projectile+physical hit, the physical hit always comes first. I have no idea about projectile/projectile though. So basically in theory you could always just block the physical hit then the projectile hit. Of course, then all the other player has to do is alter his timing very slightly and they can hit the other way around. It's a cool idea in theory, but really it's still mostly impossible to do with any sort of regularity.
  12. I seem to recall that the physical hit would connect first, then the projectile. But again I have no idea how that would work with Eddie's new double projectile unblockable. It's really easy to test actually, just record the unblockable in training mode, then record a vid of you holding only high block VS only low block. You should see something got blocked in one of them.
  13. Yeah it's a bit of a pain. You can always search by Threads instead of Posts, and then search an individual thread from there.
  14. What happens is that if two moves try to connect on the same frame, one of them will just not hit. But since most moves have more than 1F of active time, you tend to get hit the next frame anyway.
  15. Yeah, don't get the impression that it's practical to do, because it really isn't. I've seen it done a few times though in matches.
  16. It's not great, but you can always use Advanced Search and select to show only posts older than a certain date. I think the 500 hit limit is to keep the search from shitting the server, which is a pretty common problem with vBulletin. I'll see if there is a better way...
  17. Last time I messed with this was back in #R so I don't know if this is still all true but... the reason the Eddie type unblockables weren't technically unblockable is because you could apparently only get hit by 1 thing each frame. So technically you block one direction on one frame, then the other on the next. Keep in mind the last time I tested that was in #R, and it was just for Physical + Projectile high/low type unblockables, so I can't tell you if that still applies in AC or if there are other situations where it doesn't apply at all (which there probably are).
  18. It should be in the moves list, isn't it?
  19. Yeah but I'm concerned it will probably rape the server worse than it already is. We could probably run one external to Dustloop though, as long as whoever did it actually did a good job with it.
  20. Both players are stunned during hit pause with physical attacks.
  21. Yup that's the right patch. You have to unlock some of the characters though, just play through arcade mode a few times and you should have it.
  22. Yes I have but I haven't had the time/motivation to do it yet.
  23. I think it's cool, but I don't know if there's really all that much to moderate since offtopic flimflam is largely okay. My only real requirement for the forum would be that a new player should be able to find a thread on his region and find some players to play against.
  24. I was thinking he meant to use it like how you can use Ky's 6P.. that is to say if someone is coming down in the air a decent distance from you, can you run forward and throw out the move from a distance. It's more forward than up, so it's not really an AA in the way something like Pote's 6P is.
  25. Well, I'd say its worth mentioning if it's particularly good at doing it.
