  1. Well like I said, I'll be downtown for a bit after I arrive before I relocate to Brampton. Besides how big is the distance, from both downtown and from brampton?
  2. @Isuna Like at the end of August, since we're already in August and all... Was there anything good/new that was discovered with hakumen in the loketest, or will most hakumen players most likely gravitate to Azrael (like I suspect).
  3. I'll initially be downtown, and from there later that same night I believe I'll be heading to Brampton area, where I'll be staying.
  4. Spacing and timing there too, I've done the same. Though I don't force things like that online due to lag affecting the timing of everything, I usually rely on cheap hakumen-only tactics online.
  5. It depends, playing against Ragna is really the median of playing against zoners and rushdown. You have to know when and how to approach and what beats out what. Perosnally kishuu>enma is one of the strongest tools against Ragna in the neutral game in order to open him up, since if spaced correctly, it can beat his air approaches, his extremely strong pokes (5b 5c), and can occasionally beat death spike as well. Though that one depends and I need to test the properties of that, I think it has more to do with timing than spacing from my understanding, I could count the times I was about to go through death spike with kishuu. For the most part you want to zone and keep him out until you get enough stars to do something, preferrably 3+ stars. If you are familiar with Ragna's block strings and he gets in close, it's nothing like tager so you don't need to stress, just IB as much as you can to get additional meter and you NEED to learn to counter on reaction death spike (it's +5 on block and allows Ragna to continue his pressure), and gauntlet hades it's a fairly slow overhead. Try to avoid counter death spike with 2d as the range of it's hitbox usually won't catch Ragna, and 6d probably will though. Once you get enough stars to hurt him, I personally either try these 3 options depending on who I'm facing: Jumping out of his pressure and get a CH jb on him, usually from a crossup due to it's improved hitbox. I tend to go for this if I'm in the corner because then I can put him in the corner. Jab him out of his pressure, if you have good reactions you can 2a his 6b overhead if he goes for it. Ragna can't pressure you forever and if he tries you can either jab him out of something, like his overhead I said, or land a counter on him. Though I rarely use this. Ragna will come to you in this matchup so you don't really have to stress your heads over him coming close. But you really need to know how to hitconfirm when you finally open him up. Oh yea finally, almost never use 4c in this matchup. I hope my post will be found useful.
  6. Glad ot see activity from fellow hakumen players here. Thanks for the compliment Also what steel says is what the matchup is about. I would also like to add that if your opponent catches you with an airgrab and you break it, and provided they didn't airdash to grab you prior to the grab attempt, if he airdashes and jc, it'll beat out your jc. Yes, but even then due to it's jump cancellable properties it makes it hard to punish on block unless you preemptively go for an airgrab, but that's dangerous. it does, just depends on the range. The hitbox of 5c is smaller the further away you are from Ragna, unlike 5b which has a more straight forward hitbox. I should also add that 5b is a decent AA that can hit hakumen in areas he has a hard time covering. Anyways, it's also important that as strong as kishuu is in this matchup, you still can't herp derp it since it only gains its invincible properties as of the 5th frame. I play this matchup regularly.
  7. Approx 4:15 according to Megabus.
  8. Alright so I'll be invading the Toronto area legitimately this time from this friday until next thursday. I would like to know if anyone still plays this game (BB) because I would like to experience GETY and actually playing a fighter I periodically play at a true arcade center. I will be staying with my Aunt in Brampton.
  9. Azrael's guard point stance projectile. Lol too much BB. I've been using hakumen since ct, and I've been levelling up from netplaying despite him being the worst character in the game online. Playing enough you know what to watch out for and etc. And then you lose less and less. You just have to be more offensive/pre-emptive than you would play offline. BB's netcode has and always will suck, though I heard they're going to spend a significant amount of time on improving it in this version of the game. No just that everyone's damage output is stupidly high. It's 99 seconds like every other game, except KOF. So basically CT right? ^ Agreed with everything that was said here, how could they have finished cs rachel, cs2 hakumen, csex makoto, and (potentially) cp hakumen and call them well balanced and viable for high level play. When you take away EVERYTHING that made them strong in the first place. I perosnally found csex hakumen was his most developed version, strong but minimal stupid shit. And still required the right reads to get the win, especially in more difficult matchups (rachel/valkenhayn/tao/lambda). If you don't know those matchups, you will get exposed. And he's still ass online, so he can't be that strong imo. But whatever, I guess I'll be looking into getting a sub, or wait till a God-sent patch update for him when the game is released in the west.
  10. That's because he is lying. I say that all the time sensei >_> That's not a surprise. Wait, which is your first, blazblue or persona? Just asking since we mostly promote blazblue and have begun promoting persona. So just clarifying. You should also check out sankishin.com, that's also where the community interacts in a more inclusive online setting. It's also a great to get the latest on what time anything related to these games (blazblue/guilty gear/persona) are taking place in montreal. You can also contact most of us in the opening post of this thread which has all of our numbers. That's because none of us are truly Gundam yet, but we do have a Persona
  11. What mAc says is very true. I need new ways of setting up TRM's I realized.
  12. I haven't heard you say one positive thing about this game in this thread. Anyone know if Phalanx cannon is as fast as Spark bolt?
  13. NO that was Fred, and he IS a Persona spirit. Like nay fighter, (and almost everything else in life) if you work hard enough and smart enough, you can accomplish anything. Don't have a negative attitude towards things. It's not the way to improve. What are your thoughts on that statement.
  14. Is there anything you like about the game?
  15. Nolan, it's never been about how his pressure is when he has meter, it's about when he doesn't have meter. Now more than ever yes, his pressure is very strong once he has 3+ stars, but 2 or less leaves him lacking, and it has always been the case. I too thought of him getting a command grab, but then he would obliterate people if he had meter when doing it. It's not really that hard at this point to open up the opponent, coupled with having such incredibly (though not so much any cp) burst safe combos. I'm certain Spark has been reading all of this. It would be interesting to get your thoughts on all of this Spark (agito/bbcp hakumen/hakumen pressure/mixup/bbex hakumen).
  16. sending you messages on your profiles.
  17. I don't see what's so confusing about Mu/Lambda/Nu, they never removed Justice/Kliff from Gg and that's a fairly story driven game. Matter of fact they're balancing those two for the upcoming GG rerelease. They will be in the game one way or another, ArcSys isn't the type to remove characters from their games, even if they're no longer relevant to the story anymore.
  18. Thought you were referring to personality or something. Gameplay wise, that's pretty obvious by just looking at him. If hakumen is ass in cp, I can guarantee that hakumen players will gravitate to him.
  19. Unlikely, Aksys comes to this thread, not ArcSys. And if that was the case then the mods would've done something about it by now. In a literal sense that would be everyone's guard crush move. Which by now, I'm sure you're aware of how they work.
  20. @Moy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1jLtXM23-4&feature=player_embedded skip to 1:52, and you'll see what I meant about his guard point. With it being able to guard point projectiles and fire a fast full screen projectile, I see this being used at high level play to bait bursts potentially. Just my thoughts.
  21. These matches: And the second seems to be gone since pktzn went and got himself banned from youtube. So we lost a lot fo really good matches >_>
  22. Nope you are scummy good sir. Clean is if you're a complete replica of Spark, which none of us are. Thus we are all pretty scummy, but you are by far the scummiest hakumen player mAc.
  23. Air unblockable resets in the corner x n = scummy. FACT. Other than not using Astrals, you're pretty scummy bro.
