I'm sure we'll get more characters, maybe in a time release format like the Murakumo Units in BBCP. I just REALLY hope they tone down the damage is all, the game looks dope so far. But I'd imagine that regardless of how the game will pan out, certain people will keep AC alive (not saying AC will die, ever) if their characters aren't in yet. But I'd imagine players like Kaqn and Inoue/Kazunoko just sticking with Sol, until Order Sol is released. -

Same to you too Nolan. You started to make optimal use of Dandy Step on neutral, offense, and defense which was really good had me really guessing during neutral since I couldn't blindly mash pokes on you since I might get clocked by a perfectly spaced Mappa Punch/BBU/DoT. You seem to have his ground combos down solidly but the air links seem to give you a harder time which is where you get your knock down into ridiculously safe pressure. You oki is very strong though, I honestly don't know what's going to be coming my way, especially that accursed 2hs. Dandy Step, adding the necessary ingredient of Ky's mid to full screen Coconut Barrage since 2002. -

I've been working on my playstyle and habits as a player, and using my characters tools optimally, and breaking down every little detail of my opponent. Them Slayer combos though... And you're way too respectful with Order Sol, you're using the protagonist, you're supposed to hit buttons when you're using the protagonist. -

is there actually a pic of him in a business suit? Yes, along with Potemkin in Holy Order attire, from the timeline when Ky was supposed to die during the Holy war against the gears. Seeing those two in Holy Order outfits would be boss. Or giving Sol his Holy Order outfit would be pretty boss -

I'd assume so, that woudl be a great addition to the game. ArcSys is already hella creative with their color palettes for ACR, BB, and P4U having colors from each others games, and anime references or whatever it may be. That would be interesting, never thought of that. In that case, Ky with his royal cape on would be boss for me personally. Yes, but GG characters could get their "pre-time skip" outfits, like more notable characters Potemkin, Millia, and Axl. I will personally hand over my wallet to ArcSys if they come out with Ky's Overture attire and is GG1-XXAC outfit. OS i'm really hoping they'll come out with those type of things when the game is released. Along with a Daisuke Sol Badguy voice set. -
I find your AC write ups are good enough to provide a foundational template for how matches should be played regardless of the GG iteration you're playing. You feel Ky is a terrible character right now? Care to share why? Well you've single handedly broken my heart with that statement D:

Could we get a write up on the Dizzy matchup, Eddie matchup, Millia Rage matchup, and the Chipp matchup eh-sama? Btw what are your thoughts on Xrd, where they're taking Ky from what you've seen with regards to his Grinders to enhance his projectiles, will you be playing/buying the game?

You're probably inputting TR too late after fafnir, you don't really have to that much time to hit confirm off fafnir to go into TR. By the time you input fafnir, you should already be inputting TR. You can even cancel some of the last frames of fafnir straight into TR. Interesting discussion on balancing this game. I just hope variety won't affect the utility and enjoyment of this game very much. Ogawa + #R Eddie was plain retarded strong from what I saw. So I'm hoping that we won't be seeing any characters that just skews the utility of the roster. -

I think all three improvements to GS would make it too strong of a move. Personally, I want Ky to be somewhat of an average run of the mill character, so long as he's dead even in most of not all of his matchups, and he's as fun/versatile as he's always been that's all that matters to me. I would hate for Ky to be too good a character, to the point where you might as well play him instead of more complex characters like Eddie and Millia Rage. I would really like for Ky's VT, to have more untech with outside of CH though, since they got rid of the AC follow up to VT, thereby removing his oki opportunities in most situations. -
The worst part is Relius can practically auto-pilot into Astral from almost anything, making him an extremely terrifying threat once he has 100% health, especially with the ease he has of getting in on and staying on top of Hakumen... I always translated it as "Destruction of Evil" actually. Anyways these are my thoughts, since his Astral is even more useless than it already was in previous versions of BB... Might as well give him a new one altogether in my opinion lol.

Lol. I think Hakumen could use a new Astral, one that is a command grab. His Astral, which was already almost useless, has become even more useless since it can't counter Puppets. Maybe the new Astral could be the technique he used to kill Terumi and Hazama in story mode. Those are my recent thoughts.

Sol's defense is amazing (just mash VV), his screen control or "zoning" as you call it, is ass though. But, playing against good Sol players, like VRaiden, I can't say Sol is centered around his Wild Throw setups persay. But that's my opinion, I only sub the character... -

Can Ky still perform the FRC CSE glitch with the new RC system in place? I completely forgot about this, since we lost FB CSE, so the only anti jump too we have in Xrd would be the CSE FRC glitch. I'm also curious which, if there are any, matchups that'll need to be played differently in Xrd, everyone seems to have received great tools to supplement their playstyles, but no one looks like they'll be played completely differently in this version of the game so far. I also watched Ogawa in #R because of how people were talking about Eddie in #R, holy shit that character was cheap... -

That's the difference, them having command grabs just adds to their pressure/mixup options, they don't necessarily depend on it. Blocking against a grappler has you thinking "oh shit is he going to go for a straight up command grab, or tick command grab?", Sol pressuring you just forces you to worry about him jacking up your guard bar and landing a random hit. He doesn't necessarily depend on it persay, same with all those characters I mentioned above. Robo-Ky isn't built around his command grab either, but having it makes his pressure stronger, it's the same with all non-grapplers. -

Yu has a command grab o_O?! I also had kanji in mind when writing that post, since Kanji has a lot of mobility compared to most grapplers in other fighitng games, but the rest of the cast in P4U has more mobility than him at the end of the day. -

That would imply grapplers also include the likes of: Hazama, Terumi, Chipp, Bang, Kokonoe, Kagura, Eddie/Zato-1, and Valkenhayn among others are grapplers. Just because a character has a command grab, does not necessarily mean they fall into the archtype of a Grappler. None of those characters play into that archtype; slow, massive hitboxes, huge quantities of health, limited ground and air mobility in comparison to the rest of the cast, command grabs which usually have invincibility on startup that deal a lot of damage, among other common traits. So no, only Potemkin falls within the archtype of a grappler in Guilty Gear.
