Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Keeping in mind Seth has a fairly high learning curve to him, but it looks like he just straight up sucks now. I didn't want to say it because I saw potential in him, but his lack of range and damage output makes him the poor man's Linne. Thought? That Gordeau on Abelcru's channel just now was sick, his use of Grim Reaper on Merkava's mobility was smart, and just used fundamentals to win. I'd like to see more of this Gordeau. Everytime someone is up against Merkava, they're only one random 4b away from losing the match lol, holy fuck. -

it's even more accurate because you can see whose top tier and who isn't by just watching some of the latest high level matches for this game lol. -
[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)

There aren't much areas left in their world due to Nukes, Black Beast, Seithr. So any more Nukes wouldn't help their struggle to survive. -

Those "tanks" you're referring to are nuclear missiles. Hakumen finds out about them as well, and berates her for even thinking of using them and storing them under her S7 base. She's stocked up on them as a last resort to kill Terumi. EDIT: Wow, I've never been ninja'd before... -

Carmine at least builds meter in his combos akin to Hazama, I've yet to see a character to unleash their 200% super so often at the end of their combos. Nothing wrong with health drain, just either buff the damage he gets off of his health/blood attacks or reduce how much health his attacks consume. In a game where everyone does at least 4k at pretty much any given time, losing health when attempting to attack these same characters isn't very good. It's pretty funny how many people thought Gordeau was going to have high damage output, but his is actually low compared to the rest of the cast. Coupled with his pressure problems lol. -

All what you said is true. I hope they should come out with a patch a few months from now, assuming the chain shift patch fixes A LOT of stuff wrong with this game. There's no reason for Seth's soukou no vengeance autocrossup move to be unsafe but, Hyde's berserker slash is ridiculously safe. But the "low tier" characters don't need any improvements, except Carmine, he loses way too much health way too fast. -

Kinda like right now. Anyways, I hope this patch really allows for the more obscure characters in the roster to shine. Because I'm getting to the point where these videos that are posted are boring; Vatista, Merkava, Orie, Yuzuriha, and a little bit of Seth and occasionally Carmine. The last two mentioned usually get blown up by the other 4. -

Well I mean they knew exactly how to fix it in order to balance the game and keep it from "kuso ge"-ing any further. Like something of this sort of fix would need consultation and looking into the games system again? I don't know, maybe I'm just not looking at it the right way. -

Isn't that kinda early for a patch release? How good is Ecole at balancing games? -

Yes to everything TD is saying. It's important to be random with Ragna, his pressure is shenanigans, especially when he has 50+ heat. But yes in order to be random you must know what tools work best for shenanigans. -

Yukikaze is cs2/csex, and valid point. 6d definitely won't be good in cp with the way they\re adjusting it.

LMAO 6d for csex? Ouch...

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
BladeOfJustice7 replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
This is true if I had to compare what I've seen from GG: The Missing Link on ps1, to Calamity Trigger, I have to say that Calamity Trigger is far less kusoge than The Missing Link. CT, had some characters with powerful tools, and some characters were simply incomplete. UNiB seems to be that characters do way too much damage, on day 3. NO one was doing 60% on day 3 in CT. And those who could (like Hakumen), weren't necessarily good either. Agreed. We're already seeing power gaps between characters early on, it won't be long before half the cast, at least, won't be used at high level play. I rather not get into this debate, it's rather tiresome and annoying. -
Fixed.

Figured as much, his character design in terms of gameplay works against him in this sort of game. He needs to drain his health to do damage and to initiate pressure. SO he basically kills himself for you, and then he has difficulty maintaining momentum and doing insane damage. I was thinking the same thing, it has the makings of a kuso ge game. I certainly hope it won't "degenerate" into that, because I was really looking forward to this game until the most recent videos. Really hoping the patch turns things around ... -
