You fucking guy, I'm so jealous. Something I'm still curious about is j.2c overhead combo damage. It's a short starter, but can you still get a decent combo? I was thinking about it and if the damage isn't that much better, j.a is better as an IOH since you still get the fuzzy setup if they block it. Maybe just in the corner with lotus or a pole on top of them, which I saw you try on that Nine but she blocked lol.

The game has barely been out two weeks, and everything Rurouni said is pretty spot on. I'll definitely remember the BBCP days as the golden age of Rachel footage since N-O was super into it. On topic, one thing I noted with the new lotus is that since it activates so fast, if you miss and shoot past an opponent with a full screen lobelia, you can still summon the bat and wind it back on them with 4d to cover your ass. Looks pretty annoying, and I believe it's one of the reasons 236b and 236c recover so fast now.

All of these little changes feel like they're adding up and are giving me a lot of hope. We lost pumpkin, yes, but it feels like we will never be too short on wind now, which honestly is my main gripe with CPEX Rachel. Once we learn how to properly use the new lotus, I feel she has the potential to be competitive. Now Ivy Blossom is still kinda ass, but as we saw in the new combo video, it basically allows her to get CPEX levels of damage in the corner, which is not too shabby.

As Rurouni said, if you could experiment a bit with lotus oki that would be nice. And that we have j.2c overhead again, I'm interested in seeing her new damage output potential. Pretty sure you could confirm into a windless combo if you have a pole or lotus on them. Man I'm a bit jealous lol, I wanna try her too!

I thought the same thing. Seems like you gotta be even more mindful of your pole placements now, summoning the bats almost felt like summoning a pumpkin and having it ready to use on the spot. 236c also seems to recover a lot faster, you can actually start running behind it while it's still flying towards the opponent. With lotus' new activation speed/recovery, this could allow maintaining some sort of advantage after hitting a midscreen 5cc or something. As for the way j.c/j.[c] works now, and 6a > 4b seemingly being able to connect from any height, we might be able to consistently convert most ground to air/air to air hits into a ground combo without any wind at all... That would be huge. Now I just wanna know if j.2c really is an overhead...
