  1. I would like to note that the first hit of 5D does NOT have lifesteal, unfortunately.
  2. If you can block it, jump and IB a lot for free meter and she can't cross you up! =3
  3. My main offline competition is a pair of Taokaka players that are decent. One uses lots of her moves, munch claw, and combos into air throws sometimes and basically is a good all around player. He's still working on her finer arts like taunting and stuff but he can combo from her throws easy, when he uses them. I don't have much trouble with him as of right now. What I do is turtle, sorta, until I see him whiff a move, then go for the CH 5C into whatever then rush the shit out of him with high/low/grab mixups. He gets frustrated when I spam Ragna's D moves and stuff, and when I go Blood Kain he starts backing off, despite my efforts to tell him to keep rushing me and jack me up. Taokaka, just like everyone else, gets smashed to bits by a good Ragna Install run. The other dude plays her INCREDIBLY safe and I have the most ridiculous time getting a hit on him. He almost always attacks low with the two swipes then kick move and cancels it with her D for no lag and I just don't know what to do. However, when I get some hits on him, he falls to the rape. I go even often with this dude. Basic stuff vs. Taokaka! 1. Mindgame the opponent with "I don't have anymore food!" 2. Block low a lot and watch for the overheads. 3. Push Block to get them away so they can't cancel and run up and throw you. I hate getting thrown for nothing. 4. Ragna Install is sexy 5. YOU HAVE THE DISADVANTAGE AT NEARLY ALL RANGES. She's faster, has better pokes, and a bowling ball. Just put the controller down. =\ 6. At the beginning, if you try anything a Taokaka player that thinks you'll attack might just stab you in the face for counterhit. She beats anything you have. If she tries that, block then punish, it's all unsafe. One that's unsure of how you'll play will backdash. 7. 6A or Inferno Divider her j.C's 8. Get used to being combo'd for 11+ Hits so you won't get frustrated. 9. Some Tao's have trouble vs. defensive players that just wait for openings or whiffs.
  4. Were you holding D? The second hit won't come out if you hold D. If not, I dunno. =x Also, i'd like to note that the 5B, 5C, 5D(1hit), 5B, 6A, hj.C, j.D, (straight up, not toward the opponent)j.C, j.D, 623D, 236C, 214C Blood Kain combo actually does MORE damage if you use 214B > 214D instead of D Inferno Divider. I guess because of proration. I changed it on my post and I move that we check all the other combos that contain 623D if 214B >214D does more damage.
  5. Don't throw in the A's in there, see how much damage you get then. Jabs prorate the heck out of Ragna's stuff. Also, jiyuna's combos are sexy. I'll let him post it.
  6. DP stands for Dragon Punch. It's the motion you input for Inferno Divider. Forward, Down, Downforward. It doesn't get any more basic. All I can say is push forward, move back to neutral and then roll down to down forward
  7. Astral Heat also combos off of counterhit Gauntlet Hades.
  8. Tried that. They can tech C or D divider, it's hairpullingly-frustrating. Also, it's difficult to tech trap since Raggums can't jc his 5B or anything and players can like immediately attack after teching. >,< Maybe throw out something dumb like 5A and trap from there. XD IAD IIII JUST WANNA TOOUUUCH YOUUUU. But then if they tech in a way that that doesn't work.. argh... I want this combo to work, but the ones that cancel from 1st hit of 5D are so much better. ;.; Lookin' forward to it. I love Blood Kain/Ragna Install/Angry Mode. I'd race you, but i'm too busy scratching my head at how to get the remaining 13% on R's story mode. losing to people I feel I shouldn't be losing to in ranked. =x @The Thread: After finally getting the hang of dash cancelling the first hit of 5D, looks like you can relaunch from 5C or 2B or pick 'em up with 22C for more hitsies. No, it doesn't combo, but if I were on the receiving end, I wouldn't be expecting this to happen and would get startled and combo'd.

After playing an average v-13 online and grumbling at my controller doing things I don't tell it to do (johns, I know) I've deduced the following: Hell's Fang across the screen only works if they're going to do something OTHER than 5C or D moves. XD High jumping and air dashing works pretty well in evading all her junk to get in. Try not to FD Block because you want her close to you. Other than that it seems like she can outpoke you a lot, it's annoying. Getting in is tough, I hate her, too. BUT ONCE YOU'RE IN, ohhhh it's so good. She's made out of wet cardboard. Zero00's definitely right in learn to block. Speaking of blocking, if you can force her to guard and scare her out keeping her barrier full for a burst, go for the guard crush. If you like to play with Blood Kain like me, your damage becomes devastating, don't forget that you -can- actually kill her with chip damage. I've got 3 match wins from watching her life bar and Hell's Fang + Follow upping while Ragna Installed for the kill.
  10. I noticed there was a lack of Blood Kain specific combos, so I went and made some last night! While in Blood Kain: 1. 5B, 5C, 5D (DC), 214A > 214D, 5B ~ Does around 3100 damage. I can't figure out how to finish it, they can tech way too fast after 5B. 2. 5B, 5C, 5D(1hit), 214A > 214D, 5B, 5D, 214B > 214D ~Does around 3740 3. 5B, 5C, 5D(1hit), 5B, 6A, hj.C, j.D, (straight up)j.C, j.D, 214B > 214D ~Does over 4000.
