  1. FRKZ doesn't come into play unless you really want it to. So it shouldn't affect the difficulty to "learn" Bang so much. I mean, if you know you can't control Bang in FRKZ (or the match-up doesn't call for it - even if you are GDLK with Bang in FRKZ, you don't always want to do it), then you don't need to do it and Bang is still formidable enough without it to make it necessary to learn. You gotta be quick at times, but then again, who isn't that true for?
  2. Hey, I've thrown some 3C's out online and if they hit for a counter, there are some nice possibilities. (tested on Tager, Ragna and Carl). And yes, these work without the CH, but you have to be at such a strict range that I don't think it's worth going for (I also don't think it's worth going for a 3C unless you KNOW it's going to hit). 3C CH, 2B, 6C, jc, j.B, j.623C - 4373 That's good damage for no tension and a relatively easy set up, but because a combo is not a combo if there is a throw in it, you can try this out too: 3C CH, 2B, 6C, jc, J.A*, j.623B - 2131 Can sometime hit j.B here instead of the j.B, but j.A seems to be easier. Try it out. YMMV. Now, this is a little tricky because you can't be at max range of the 3C. It still works at a very realistic range though. I hit the 3C online sometimes. It's not really safe, but I can get it to CH on reaction vs a B-Sledge from Tager (this is how I found this out). If you are far from an opponent, so they think they can throw out some slow long range move, it could work there too. I just don't have enough experience to know if these are useful combos or not. What do you think?
  3. Can we have a thread dedicated to block strings? I'm really looking how to end it... Hell's Fang is -4 on block. People like Tsak and Prototype say it is bad to end with it. Death Spike is +3, which looks good, but it's startup is longer than the blockstun on any of Ragna's moves, so you can end up eating a 2A or something before it comes out. here is some move data: http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/ragna_data/ The DC lasts 22f and the 5D gives a -26 adv. I would think that gives you a +4 when you DC, but I tried it in training mode and I don't think that's the case... (the Block first hit is so bd in BB training mode... ). How unsafe is this dc? can you run up and throw or 5A to stuff attacks? or 6A to stuff a jump? Anyway, any other ideas? Tsak suggested jumping out form a 3C or 6A, but then what? 214A RC is probably the best, but you don't always have or want to waste the meter. i think 6D, JD will net the most guard libra, but it is unsafe.
  4. yeah i was just asking cause you can do a Four Winds from that state (you can't normally do a four winds unless the bou is in the ground as well).
  5. I was playing around with some of the Manten return state moves (3C, 6A, etc). I've noticed that you can do the 426D move after them. However, can you do the 632146D Super during it? I tried, but I can't do it. I don't know if it is a matter of timing or if I don't understand the properties of the return state...
