  1. im glad i saw this it may seem funny but thats wat every faust should be doing wen they have the opportunity to do so cuz: 1. Your totally avoiding chip damage 2. you don't waist any tension from blocking 3. you actually move in closer and increasing you chances of getting the first poke right after its done -> wich leads ur opponent into blocking instead of you having to block the next attack string

  3. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fmlrjd8Pu_Y I enjoy this match alot because the faust player really does some interesting set ups: @ 0:22 - 5s 5p 5s 5p and block, I dont know if evryone really noticed this awsome way to bait a burt, normally alot of us would have probably thrown a 2hs in there and would have ate the burst but this was a really nice burst bait out @ 1:10 - he times a drill cancel 5k right before the bomb hits, iv tried this to aswell with the poison, little roboys pots, hammer and meteor especially, because ppl can tell if you want to dash and do Mettakiri they tend to jump. but because the drill cancel 5k has good reach it really is a mind fuck @ 1:19 - another crazy set up for Mettakiri, it even works mid screen if timed really good.

  5. vs pot: You can almost always gattling 2d into 5k and combo or even gattling 2d into 2s and combo. Against sol just rember the gap between u n sol always cuz a whiffed move can easily land into one of those sol air dashin combos. entertaining fights overall gs.
  6. For those missles the robo-ky gets, always run under it if you can and grab him. Just keep doing it all the time, i have found that it will kind of make them change their attack string and really when thats gone its like fighting ky regularly and zone.

  8. To stand a good solid chance against testament players I think youv generally got to learn to IB or even Backslash those exe beast's. Especially in the corner you've literally got to be patient and look for openings, IMO its not easy to rush down testament. Air bomb bags can get beat out by skulls recovering from pogo to standing causes so much delay that testament can badland on reaction if close enuff. but this again can work to your advantage and you can bait out badlands and do "going my way" to beast it out, Testment can even warrant a hole bunch of pokes from far range, 41236k becomes unsafe at this point Iv struggles to with testament players and its not easy, and the only real solid piece of advise i can say is dont forget to FD in the air even after something has hit you those double testament slash thing he does eats faust in the air. When your both on different ends of the screen you can pogo and then 5d your item throw, at least this is a safe method of avoiding the back beast. Be aware as well when you throw meteors and land mines because of the warrant. Iv leared that youve either got to be in their face and apply sum kind of pressure, weathr if its 2k or just jump in 5p,5k, generally you dont want to give them the space to warrant. Or if your at far range FD all the way weather your in the air or ground. sry my ideas are messy but theyre comming to me as i recall my matches

  10. Its the easiest to set up, the one in the vid was an okie based set up with the poison in the corner, I wonder if that can be pulled off in the middle of the screen, something to test out now

  13. Agaisnt ky and sol I would say be careful of when you throw items because they jump alot and as soon as u throw a bad item (candy, chocolate) they like to dash in HS into combo, so try not be predicatable
  14. Does anyone know any real solid pointers against chip ? Normally I don't really have trouble blocking his attack strings its just that right after an attack string chip always comes back with an IAD or sumthing to start oressure all over again or always constantly jumping poke and jump away. The teleports is another issue, if I see the teleport commig is 2k a good reaction response at all, is it safe. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6_g7eZ-By1A , roughly at 2:17 the faust player grabs chip out of that jump in hs, does anyone ever get this right what it the timing for this?
  15. There are alot of Characters with amazing corner trap gamepla,e.g (eddie corner trap, Testament exe beast 5s corner trap games etc) u know what i mean. Many Characters us different means to engage in corner traps either by jumping in (e.g baikens carpet trap, sols jumpin mix ups) or by ground attacks. What I wanted to know and see is that what specific tactics do each of use to get out of corners with specific characters you face. Like do you block a string and then dead angel, wat if there isnt tension for dead angel, do you tension block then dash back at a certain point? just in gerneral when u face a specific characters pressure what is ur means of escaping the corner pretty much .

  18. alot of robo kys like jump and throw missle, get under them as quick as u can and punish, theres alot of mix upps faust can do, and jump ib if the missle do get in contact with u, those robo ky command grabs own hard core Even in the air u can bait outthat stupid misle thing he does and air dash FB right away, it has worked alot for me but i only face local robo kys here
  19. yea Im aware its just very hard to see and if anticipated wrong faust is gonna eat a combo hard core. I was playing once again against the may players and discovered that 5k is fukin gold. Its like when the dolphin dash that she does is about 1/2 of the way through and u connect the 5k, it will beat it out bad and of course combo after it. when the dolphine is roughly about 1/2 to the actual attack connecting with u, 5k will still work, not 100% of the time, but it will either connect and beat it out or trade. The risky thing about this is that you got be good with your reflex and reaction if the dolphin was way over on top of u and u notice that 5k wont be safe just block. Usually when I did alot of dashing and random 5k, it did catch the may player of gaurd and made them eat that 5k, because may is a charge partition character the player usually charges and waits for you to get closer. as a result from tryin this out it forces may to play a bit more defensive and u can basically dash command grab or waever u want. Obviously that should be ur execution evertime u dash cuz may 2d or any low attacks will go under the 5k. But none the less still a good way to execute.   21. I get caught with those damn 5k into grab, wats the recovery time on that becuase even when i try to use 5p the grab still beats me

  23. try to do more run in and 236hs, wenever u land a 2p on an opponent they seem to always block immediately, try to do that more n if they figure out that patern then in stead on 236hs wen u run in, do a 6p or 5k instead . One notable thing to is u block low alot on wen ur opponent jumps in, unless he hits the ground keep bloking high, axel has that funny dive wen he does his air attacks, even myself i found getting caught by that. at 3:02 (roughly) Axel air dashed for a while there, us hould be able to react on a dash that long and do 2k, or even 5k and combo right after,he was at a perfect hight to do so You should also try to do some more air cancels and poke, u did alot of jumping and hs without fdc the jump, almost most of ur jumps should have that but yeah it was a close match in the end

For Venom: On ground games, train urself to react immediately when he does his pool ball set ups, as soon as u see the animation of his arm moving and getting ready to throw a ball do 41236k immediately. I found after playin alot of venoms (even black snake) they;ll at least 75% chance get hit by it. Even if they try to back dash right after it will hit them, they'll try to jump but it will hit them and make them fall or the favorable outcome u'll get the full hit. You can always walk under the pool balls when theyre travelling over the ground and use faust's 2p to at least stop his chain of combos to continue. Try to bait out the ball set ups, Jump high in the air but not tohigh because you want to see venom and air dash as soon as you see Venom seting up the pool balls, again train urself to react on that and hit the 236d into whatever combo you please. I know venom takes a long time to finish his string of attacks, but just be patient, just block them because eventually u'll get the space required to do ur 5s or 2hs again. There are times when venom attack string finishes and the opponent would obviously want to start it again with another ball setup, as soon as u see that set up learn to react on that. learn to dash back or jump out when u see venom doing that dive kick thingy he does or if u must u can even do 5k, ull mostly likely get hit but it will trade and ull send venom to the other corner, at least this way u get back the zoning space u want.
