Yesterday, it was 6-11pm. I got there super early and played some random people for a little while. Then some guys that post frequently on SRK came up. I got to meet and play a few of them. I probably won't go next Friday, since our tournament is Saturday anyway. Check the TN thread on SRK every now and then for stuff like this. Naimat, there was a MK9 tourney today at GG. 9 people entered (Jason didn't, but he's worked on guides and knows everything about it). All 10 of those are definitely going to be hardcore about it. So if 10 people (possibly more after the game has been around for a while) can tide you over for a while, I say go for it. Also, I went down to GG yesterday, since they just started having Friday Night Fights, and played lots of MvC3. I think my overall record for the night was like 130-10. There were some really good players there too...

Just as fighting Phoenix, you're going to have a different game plan against a team that uses Hsien Ko. Actually, just treat her as a better Haggar assist. Just bait the assist, backdash, and super. If you actually get a hit confirm off, snap Hsien Ko in. She's an AWFUL character on point, so rush her down and kill her.

I've fought some godlike Mags, so I'll be able to handle yours. One hit and he's dead. Wesker is annoying because he hits as hard as hulk, but he also has teleports and awesome projectiles. I might burn xf just to kill him. Doom is just Doom. Superjumping stops all of his options, so using him as an anchor seems pointless to me.

Axis yelled at me, so I have to post something. The guide needs to have character specific combos. Things like ...B-sledge 2B Collider works on Litchi. Just stuff like that that will improve someone's game a little bit. Things that can beat spark bolt should be included too. Me and Axis broke this down a few pages back. Along with this, ways to bait/punish these spark bolt punishes. If I think of more, I'll post'em up.

Proposal for next tourney's match recording: Somebody bring a digital camcorder and record the winners/losers/grand finals. That way, those matches can instantly be uploaded without any fancy editing or syncing of any kind. It's just taking way too long to get the videos up.
