Hmmm thought I accidentally walked into the MK thread here Anyways I suppose we should be able to see something new about Death Cargo tommorow since the website is supposed to open tommorow? I'm actually really interested. Its claims of being extremely violent are of no interest to me.....but the art direction is.

I actually really like some of the art direction. Leach looked silly but the main character was interesting. I also liked the back ground though it is somewhat simplistic. Even if the game sucks I will probably be interested in seeing the finished product. I've always wanted a darker sort of "cyber-gothic" fighting game. Too bad the few times any work is done that suits my tastes, its usually only skin deep and the game turns out to be garbage.

I would swear you were in my head. Especially after that Raiden (MGS) comment - He doesn't really look like him but everytime I look at him he makes me "think" of Raiden in Metal Gear. Which is weird. I guess maybe, maybe the design of the mask, the hair and the overal ash metal color of his costume has a similar vibe... I dunno - but I did think this several times. Oh and I play him heavily now, I put together a few decent combos that do around 32-40% with him. I can tell you what those combos are but I'm playing on 360 so I remember the notations with a 360 button setup. X, A, B, Y deal. I can check out which punch and kick lines up with what button this evening so that you can follow it on either system. Him and Ermac are my current mains.

Heh, not surprised if that list is fake either. There's been no confirmation of anything, so it's all up in the air. The way its looking 360 might not be getting anything exclusive at this rate. The game is only 2 weeks away.... @Starlight: "Screw Kratos." I couldnt agree more - what a lame character. It's too bad we can't get Ryu Hayabusa, I know Ninja Gaiden isn't exclusive but he would be a helluva lot cooler then that moron.

Well yes - "no" to Green Lantern but the bit I wrote about Lady-in-Red is from that same list mentioned on the Hard News link you gave me. Essentially Shoryuken posted up that same information on their news section - so yeah. Green Lantern seemed like total BS anyways. Its just that the idea alone was enough to make me puke a little inside. EDIT: The Lady-in-Red bit was the only thing that mattered to me. I rather have her for free then Kratos any day of the week but that's just me.

Did anyone hear or see anything about that absurd rumor concerning Green Lantern being an exclusive character in the 360 version of MK9? It sounds like bs but ugh it would be awful if it were true. Shoryuken also has some rumors posted about other exclusives that may be specific to the 360 version of MK9 on their news page. Like free Lady-in-Red DLC for a limited time.....which would be nuts - but yeah, seems unlikely.

Yeah I heard that version a flipped out because it is so superior to the theme on the MK CD..... honestly, did they try? ReduxStereo and EZXD did a fantastic job with several of those. Jade and Kitana have really great tracks as well.

I like how you think. Couldn't agree more. I do like the reward of growing adept at things that are difficult to execute but I don't think a game should be defined by it.

I echo this. Its not about whether Ken was ever good, it's about the fact that he would bring absolutely nothing to the roster isnt already there.....in abundance I might add. Oh and when I said "older characters" in my last post I meant characters who've already made outings in previous Vs games instead of fresh faces. All these people screaming for Venom...he's cool and all but wouldn't you like to see a someone from Spiderman you like that's yet to have made an appearange. Carnage would be similar and yet different. Sorry at work lol, but yeah - I agree. Placing in Ken now would be absolutely absurd with the plethora of options they might have......ohhh I dunno some personality beyond that of "karate man" #3 I was really dissapointed to see a lot of the most popular choices for both Marvel and Capcom votes. Hard to get excited about DLC when its probably going to be rehashes of older characters mostly. I would like to see some fun surprises.

Nope, I did too - you weren't alone. Sieg Wahrheit....that would be like my dream character especially if you could set up legions with him for added pressure. Futile as voting for Adam Warlock or Wraith for Marvel. Cool or not, everyone picks the characters that shows their faces the most and no one who would actually be new or interesting to play.

I actually had no intention of playing Taskmaster but after trying him out for only about 5-10 minutes I'm finding that he's really really fun to use.

Yeah I read about this on Dream Cancel (which was linked from Shoryuken's news page.) Honestly I was in shock. I have no clue how this will roll out but it would be absolutely ridiculous to let a largely finished game like KOF XIII just waste away and never see a console release. Its even more absurd the the KOF series may actually end here just as its beginning to evolve into something that could create a new scene and potentially reel in new players.... very sad for KOF fans, and SNK fans alike.

We wouldn't want to hold our breaths now would we. I believe it will happen..... there's just not much point in thinking about it since we haven't heard a peep since the original announcements. I don't currently own a ps3 so I've found something else to do in the mean time. Phantasy Star Portable 2 lol.

I believe there is a bit of an misunderstanding about who copied whom when it comes to Nameless' design and Lars' design. Nameless may have existed before Lars Alexanderson. KOF 2002 UM was released on PS2 quite some time ago. Beggining of 2009 (February?) and there was trailers and information out well before then back in 2008 probably close to the same time Lars was first mentioned or shown on trailers. Not that it's a big deal. But it's fairly hard to substantiate what artist mimicked the other or if they just have similar tastes in character designs. In the case of K9999 and Tetsuo it was blatantly obvious that K9999 was a nod to Tetsuo from Akira.

Well whoever is responsible I hope they expedite this. It's pretty irritating that several of my friends have had a weeks worth of pmode with valk while I'm stuck cooling my heels and reading about him. I'm done talking about it carry on ~

I feel your pain. I've actually taken a break from BB as a result. Obviously it isn't the end of the world but it is definitely pretty aggravating. I doubt MS is really making much of a priority of this either.

I've always wanted to see Exodus in a MvC game. Songbird, Penance, and Sepulchre are also characters i would have loved to see in. Of course none of these are very popular which makes it highly unlikely we would see any of them anything other then Marvel Ultimate Alliance games.

I'm pretty sure they're only there to be a part of the plot. I seriously doubt any of them will be playable.
