  1. As a Tager... this feels like an 8:2 in favor of Amane. Completely free. Maybe I'll figure out something with experience, but until then I'm basically hoping I live long enough to throw out a risky spark bolt. Mostly I get double-perfected against good Amanes though.
  2. Good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. I used to use 5D/j.D a lot to keep people magnetized and fish for counter hits, but now people can just walk backwards and you can't re-magnetize without doing some dangerous shit like 2D -> RC or s.j -> j.c -> j.D I've been trying to work in 6A more... it's got some decent mixup options on block. 6A -> 3C for a low, 6A -> slight pause -> 360 for tick throw, 6A -> 6B for lol slow overhead, 6A -> 4D for magnetism. Maybe you could somehow work in the 6A delay super armor if you train them well enough? idk. I've stuck with Tager so far because he's so much fun, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself to play a character who both sucks and is no longer fun due to lack of magnetism shennanigans.
  3. I lol'd. Rachel wasn't even magnetized before the 5D either, hahah. Goddamn it, lack of 5D and j.D pull is killing my Tager experience. I don't even know what to do with magnetism anymore. I was hoping 6A super armor would be amazing, but it's way too freaking slow to be anything but a gimmick.
  4. good info, thanks!
  5. I doubt this is new or anything, but I found an interesting alternative to: 2D (RC) -> 6a -> 2C -> Collider -> whatever or 2D (RC) -> 6A -> 3C -> 2B -> 2C -> Collider Instead, it's easier and more damaging to do: 2D (RC) -> 6C -> collider -> collider whiff -> 6B -> 2C -> EGadget/BGadget/Whatever you want Only tested on Tsubaki Edit: Scratch that, it's more damage to do 6A->2C, but it's harder and you have to have good spacing
  6. Fucking capitalist spies! gtfo of my motherland.
  7. Will do - probably tomorrow sometime. See you around.

  8. hahah, gg's bro. Double 720 is always fun, but it was a pretty desperate attempt.

  9. I thought communism was supposed to be about brotherhood, gaiz. If we fight amongst ourselves then only the capitalist pigs win. *brofists skye*
  10. Am I safe now?
  11. Call it zoning or lockdown or whatever. Point is Arakune is safe the whole match and then you die. And he's certainly not going to be blocking against you, which was my original point.
  12. No one blocks against Tager period. It's always a mixture of jumping, running away, mashing AAAAAAAAAAA, or DP'ing your ass. Or zoning you to death in the case of Rachel, Nu, and Arakune.
  13. I like to hold it for as long as possible just for those times when your opponent fucks up and jumps into your hand when they could have easily punished.
  14. Me either. It can't be safe, and it might have to be psychic?
  15. Indeed, good sir! In fact we played today. gg's indeed. The force is strong with your Tager.

  16. Spark Bolt doesn't get rid of clouds - even the one that floats along the ground and looks like it should count as a projectile. I am a sad tager.
  17. Yep, I was wrong. You can't beat it on reaction, even if they're on the other side of the screen when they do it. Best just to crouch it and punish.
  18. So I found out today that you can Atomic Collider Tao's Super Pounce Jump on reaction. Not sure if that's any better than just crouching it, and a good Tao isn't going to be pulling that shit out of nowhere, but it was pretty hilarious nonetheless.
  19. Backdashing seems like a bad idea, since she has that "Blue Divide" move she can nail you with. I think it would be better to learn which of her drives are safe to sneak a 2a between.
  20. I've been saving Tao's Heat for Hexa-edge, since it's her only reversal.
  21. @ Insanity - I had that problem for a while. You just have to practice getting the right rhythm down. I find it's something like: 236CC -> (fast) 2d -> (slight delay) j.c -> (fast) j.9d -> (slight delay) j.c -> (fast) j.9d -> (fast) j.236BBBB And remember that it doesn't work on Carl.
  22. Very awesome, thank you. I'd appreciate it if you could break down Tao's taunt combo like you did for her drive loop. Having trouble doing that one.
  23. Same here. Use your drive to get in her face and then combo for massive damage. j.2d is really useful - you'll sail right over a lot of her projectiles.
  24. Does this combo actually work? The CPU I'm trying it on keeps air-teching out in the space between the taunt and the 236CC
