So how exactly do we deal with Margaret? This match up seems pretty bad -

At first my download was corrupted and it wouldn't install. I deleted it, re-downloaded and installed and it worked

Is anyone using any other option selects with tager other than teching with b+c? I know tager barely had any good option selects but has anything changed?

Good insight Coopa, I was feeling a bit discouraged with Tager's changes but I just have to adjust how I play. You say tager can do well in most match-ups, would you say he has more good match-ups than before? I could understand why you think that since most of the cast has had their damage decreased. I currently feel like his worst match-ups are Hazama: His damage output has decreased but he still has really good ways to keep tager out and can easily win by time out. Arakune: This was always a terrible match-up at least for me, but I honestly can't tell if its gotten worse. I would really like some insight here. At least now we can get gadget finger off of Bsledge. Mu-12: I feel like this match-up has gotten a worse. This was always a bad match-up if I recall correctly except now Mu-12 now has longer and more damaging combos. Lambda: This has gotten a bit better right? I've played a few lambdas and it seems like she can't do as much damage as before. Sledge follow-up seems pretty useful here. But it seems she can still keep Tager out at least decently. Rachel: In cs1 this match-up was actually in Tager's favor. I've only played against 2 rachels so far, but obviously she's a better character. So how has this match-up changed? I did ok against the Rachels but I had to work a lot harder lulz Bang: Bang has been a bad match-up for Tager since CT, sadly I haven't played any good bangs yet so I'm not sure how much this match-up has changed off the top of my head, those were some bad match-ups that came to me that I was hoping to get opinions on and insight.

Is it just me, or is mu-12 significantly more of a problem than in cs1?

I think I've earned the right to play Tager. and besides, playing against tager is a free win. If youre losing to tager you need to rethink your life -
Ok axis, I know you hate talking about this match-up but I'm still not feeling comfortable at all playing good kunes(shit, even bad ones to an extent). I was hoping someone had some match footage of a good example of how you should play against kune? Oh also, when a Bell Bug is out and also a cloud(the one that moves towards you on the ground) whats the best thing to do? Jump, you get hit by the bell bug. Sit and charge and you get hit by the cloud. Sledge and chances are a counter hit into 100% curse is waiting to happen. THIS MATCH IS SO AWKWARD

Great matches astaroth. Just small things I noticed combo wise. I believe after MTW then terrabreak you can combo 6B, 2C, Collider. I think you did 2B which can be teched. Also against ragna after any 360(a or b) you can 5B, 4D. It pushes ragna away, that way you don't have to deal with Inferno Divider rapid into ragna pressure. Good shit man

Thanks a lot Heroic, I appreciate the feedback. I'm actually trying to barrier block less, bad habit lol. I missed a lot of opportunities in those matches

So I recently placed 5th at a tourney and some of my matches were recorded. I was hoping on some critiques to improve. I'm very aware of dropping my combos at crucial moments and not taking advantage of opportunities in matches. Thats in fact why I ended up losing against that hakumen and placing 5th as you guys will see in my last match. But then again, im not blaming everything on dropped combos, im just disappointed that I actually dropped combos like those. Thats something that shouldn't ever happen. But yea, any tips on some of the match-ups or anything that will help me up my game is much appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUHfjSBW3ss vs Ragna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxwMHazVXQE vs a different Ragna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1rCP3SfMKc vs Hakumen pt1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJOZMVbM4eY vs hakumen pt2 (this match pains my soul so much, HOW DO I MOVE ON?!)
-
yea thats what gets me, the instant j.c crossups during curse pressure. I'm usually fine with blocking lows and that ground overhead during curse tho.
-
Curse pressure. Any good tricks to get out of it and try to stall out curse?
-
Just wanted to clarify, whiff the 3rd collider into 5b or the 2nd?
-
Thanks for the help guys. I've been being more patient and more defensive overall. This sounds terribly terribly noobish and it hurts my soul to ask but what's a good way to practice instant blocking? Most people say go into training mode and have the training dummy do combos ect. I just wanted to see if anyone else learnt/practiced it differently. I would ask this in the Q/A thread but I wanted to hear input from tager players.
-
I usually don't do this but I really want to improve so I would love some helpful critiquing. I barely have any matches of myself saved but i'll definitely start saving more. Tager vs Hakumen Tager vs Jin

this is true, but I'm sure you know i'm about to ask "How do you get in?" Without getting fully cursed anyways. Most good arakune's will stay away from you as much as they can, and I don't really blame them for doing so. I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, I just want as much info on the match-up that I can get.
-
so basically, from reading all of this thread and playing various arakune's. It seems like no matter what happens, you will get cursed at least once in each round(unless the ara sucks of course). You can walk through curse, you can sledge it, i guess you could try to jump it but you're getting cursed either way. So what it all comes down to is awesome/ridiculous blocking(while curse is going on) and spark bolt...and luck. Sooo thats all I got, anyone got anything good?
