  1. Really? Cause I could have sworn Spencer in UMVC3 has a magical bionic arm the constantly switches arms....but I could be wrong.
  2. Growing the Guilty Gear community is not possible. It will never be as relevant as the fanboy games or SF in this day and age in America. The characters are unrelatable on any kind of level the the mass public. The game's style automatically alienates a large group of people, because of this there is a smaller pool to pull from, which means a small competitive scene. Think about the Top 4 games at EVO in # of participants. SF was #1 but look at the rest 2.) Marvel, a fanboy dream game that pits tons of different super heroes and non-fighting game characters together for fighting. 3.) Smash, a fanboy game designed to have all of Nintendo's big franchises under one title fighting it out. 4.) Injustice, see Marvel. Why do you think these games are popular? It has nothing to do with how good or bad they are, it has to do with the fact that they appeal to a boarder audience give the fact they pull from multiple fanbases. It will always be this way and it will never change in America so get used to it. Only non-fanboy games that will be big are SF and MK because of their legacy, all other fighters are doomed in America and the majority of the world to lack support because they lack universal appeal.
  3. It blow my mind that people are complaining about the change to Potemkin. Literally Potemkin was one of the worst character designs in fighting game history and they finally change him into something interesting and people bitch. He was a muscle dude with one of those things around his neck that dogs have put around their heads at the vet after they get surgery. http://bostonzest.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54fc42bb88834015436a8979a970c-400wi
  4. I'm not a Persona fan at all I just happened to do some research on the game and found this out and was very confused. Is he really based on a Teddie bear? I guess I didn't catch that part of the story when I was reading up on him. All I know is his name is Kuma and every time he says something he constantly adds Kuma randomly in his sentences. Still think if you are gonna make an attempt at turning Kuma into an American name Berry would be a far better choice but whatever.
  5. I've got a question, why the hell is this character named Teddie? I find it odd that this character is the ONLY character who had his name altered for a US release. This characters name is clearly Kuma(which is just Japanese for Bear). Like I could understand Berry or something but Teddy makes no freakin sense at all. Did they think Bear or Kuma wasn't cute enough or something stupid like that?
  6. One day away. I know this thread didn't get too much attention but we do have a good amount of BB:CS pre-registrations. Thanks for all those who decided to come and you wont be dissapointed.
  7. Registration is FINALLY up. Damn that was way more of a challange than it should have been. Well you can run a Guilty Tournament if you want. We have a room dedicated to side tournaments, money matches, and casuals. We will provide the TVs and stations all you need to do is bring the games and you can run MBAA Guilty or whatever you want. I know I have Japenese compatible PS2 with boot disk if people want to run Melty. We would have thrown offiicial tournaments for more games but this is our first time running an event of this size so we didn't want to spread ourselves too thin. So what we are doing is giving everybody the tools to run any tournament they want with whatever rules they want in this side room. Anyway, thanks to everyone who is giving this tournament a look. I personally really like the game a lot and was the person who pushed for us to run this. Hope to see some support for BlazBlue at this tournament.
  8. Hey Dustloop community we here in Upstate New York are trying to support the BlazBlue community that has kinda been dormant for the time being. With the release of Continuum Shift coming out in late July we hope all of you guys on the East Coast will come out to our tournament. Last year we had a pretty decent turn out for out "Put Up or Shut Up" tournament but we hope to have even more for this, so please give our event consideration. Also I'm not quite sure about BlazBlue format though. Sometimes I see 2/3 rounds but other times I see 3/5. For now we have 2/3 as a place holder but if the community suggests otherwise we will switch it to whatever you want. I promise that BlazBlue will not just take a back seat to Super and the tournament will be run on time according to what is being posted. Thank you for your consideration. 9. No Hype=No Tournaments, No Money, No Respect. BlazBlue is already a 2nd string game with a small community(in america) it should be getting some kind of attention but I guess if it's not made by Capcom it's not good enough.
  10. I ment here and on the site in general. Also people post without being informative on here all the time so it's not like that's not happening. Seems like there is no hype for this game which is sad. This game is pretty fun. If there can be some consistancy with the community and there isn't a new version every year I might seriously play BB but right now things just aren't looking so hot. I can't believe no one has found new shit out either. Do
  11. I thought there would be a lot mor activity here once CS was released. What the hell is going on with this game's community?
  12. Thanks. I'll see if I can show up for a Friday once the games comes out.

  13. Can someone please tell me how to freakin SJC consistantly after 2C in the BNB. Delayed JC to 2C, no problem, super jump canceling after the 2C, not happening. You can only cheat with generic JC 2C on like 3 characters. It seems like no matter what because the stick is already in the 2 position after 2C that SJC canceling takes an extra go back to nuetral then back down then up. If I take my time to make sure the super jump comes out, it is too late. If I do it fast I just get regulard jump. Anyone got anything for me?
  14. I really didn't want to ask but I have to. Anyone got any tips on super jump canceling the 2C after landing from delayed jump C. I can do everything else BUT this. Every time jump cancel I always get regular jump. I tried delaying it, it just is too slow then. Shit's pissing me off. Is there some trick to Super Jump Canceling because this combo seems way to easy for me to be struggling with this. It's like it wont let you buffer the d for the super jump after the delayed j.C. It's easy to do off of just 2C but as soon as you add it coming off of a j.C the timing and buffer completely changes.
