I read Zeero's post about how he jumped over Arakune's 2D by forward dashing and I decided to do a little investigation.
Unfortunately, Carl can only hop over Arakune's 2D, nothing else from every other character. ;_;
I found out the timing for it though.
Basically, during the period the bug is flying to the ground, you can safely dash through and over the bug.
Unfortunately it needs to be predicted, since dashing on reaction will most of time get you cursed. ;0
Though, if you can successfully bug hop, you can counter hit with a 2A->2B->3C and begin a clap trap.
