It always does. Fun times. Very very fun times. I was in a smaller tourney last month and my nerves got to me, but I still ended up wrecking a bunch of faces.. but my playgroup all know when I miss an all green input.... (they see the sj.C or the random jump chun and know what I was going for) so I got a standing ovation when I finally hit my first one and ended the round on it.

On the other side, as long as you enter you rekkas and keep doing them as a gatling you can finish haku hatsu chun even if you staff comes back after haku. It's a real easy way to combo off of a 41236D hit while they're on the ground (though Haku Chun Hatsu is probably a better way to go due to the recovery areas).

I have my own question (sorry silver). I'm having a lot of problems with riichi while I'm right above them and/or have crossed them up with the jump. I'll just end up hatsu-ing instead.... what gives?

Individuals... the master of throwing off-topic creepy comments into otherwise normal threads. I normally go for female fighters because they generally have fighting styles that really 'click' with me... my friend was using taokaka when I sat down to play the game, so I wasn't going to mirror him... I tried out rachel, but she was odd... I didn't want to pick nu since everyone would've hit me... I don't really like noel.. at all... so I picked the boobie lady after rachel.... After he stopped playing tao I tried tao out and didn't really like her... and I just keep enjoying litchi more and more every time I played her and every time I learned something new.. then I saw the combo videos and was completely a litchi disciple.. though I still want to go back and learn rachel and can play nu (difficult I know) no one (at least in this version of the game) will replace litchi for me now.

PSH... V.Akiha... Akiha Tohno > V.Akiha. Though I think I should give Seifuku Akiha a try in MBAA. RiichiB is definitely good on block, but it's very easy to counter before it goes off by your opponent just kinda taking a swing at the staff as you're leaping to it, and you can't block out of RiichiB. Crazy... was because I'm not entirely sure what to say to that video... the video quality makes me nauseous, and the nu seems pretty... bad... the litchi is ok aside from a few dropped combos or messed up inputs or something somewhere. But I really don't know what to say.

So I pulled most of that off on a friend's nu off that same block pattern, left it short on Daisharin cuz I didn't know the inputs... but did about 5k damage... he... he quit.

Neutral tech and smash the a button or hatsu or something, you are pretty much screwed, but it can't hurt to try.

I guess you'd have to just JC out of 6C[m] later into the hits if you can or something strange. Looks quite smexy... I will have to try, though I think if my litchi started putting out that much damage my friends would hurt me.

You can just hold the button down.. it will repeat the input every frame for five frames.

Shonen is another one to check out, he was in SBO.... I was honestly expecting him to go farther than BLEED but he ended up going out to 0's Haku-men.. but he is definitely another one to watch.

I do believe jin will work as AAC instead of ABC. I'm not entirely sure if LK just put it down wrong or if he actually gets ABC to work on Jin, I only use AAC and ACC.. carl and tager notwithstanding anyway.

Yeah no, not particularly. Especially with tager the key is to do the... Opposite of litchi's game and not pressure in the corner. Do your combo and then backup and retrieve your staff. As far as rc comboes go, there are a few in the litchi cmv 3 on lk's youtube that are done on tager, but none are really useful. Rcing after a blocked chun can help as an afterthought.

Yep.. but leaving off the combo at 236C will leave you next to tager on wakeup without your staff.. Adding in RiichiA or RiichiB at the end will put you on the other side of the screen and the D will start returning your staff so you get it back to get your range back. I wasn't trying to say you were playing wrong, was just adding on the extra bit of information for everyone else. And B+C will not break his command throws/special throw... unless you're in hit stun/guard stun (when you'd normally get the double purple exclamations), otherwise you can't tech out of his throws.

Yeah Dator.. 6C 2C 6C 2C 6C 236A 236B 236C 63214A/B D is definitely good.. pressuring him into the corner is a great way to eat a throw and get yourself caught, Riichi back out and get your distance again and just keep zoning him.

This brings up a good question that I was running into today. Since on videos and whatnot I can't actually SEE what the staff is doing. Do you hold that D at all or is it just press release? I've had it work and mess up both ways, so I assume it's just my execution at this point...

I'd say... with how litchi functions... Leaving this as an overall litchi mechanics.. discussion of the moves and everything is fine. But I do think, with the depth and difficulty and... originality... of Litchi combos that a combo thread would probably be an extremely good investment...... as long as you stressed that that thread was for discussing new combos and help with executing stuff still went here. I think it'd definitely pay off... people discussing or bringing up new combos generally get kinda lost in the sheer volume of posts in this thread. EDIT: Glee.. BLEED and DIEchan both made top8... and dora's BANG is still in too. 2 nus 2 litchis 1 kune 1 rachel 1 bang 1 carl in top 8... Litchi = S tier.

Lol... I was playing a girl the other day and heard 'I HATE YOUR STICK' right in the middle of the first round. I was laughing so hard for the rest of the match that I almost lost... I had to double down with a beastly all green to stop myself from losing. (Also of note... I actually found this out against Unlimited Ragna... 2/3 rounds match... if someone has 1 win.. the other person has 0 wins... and you get a double down... the person with 0 wins will get a win.. the person with 1 win will not... total bullcrap.... As to how I learned this... I beat U.Ragna first round... double down'd the second round... he won the third... I chucked a controller through a window...) I messed up a riichi combo... but caught them with C on the staff as they recovered.. after 7 hits they ragequit on me... QQ

True... which also comes in handy as well... sometimes they'll think they're out of 6A range so they'll go for IAD or something to punish and get hit anyway...
