It would be more exciting if you were female.... But yeah... moving a little fast for me. :P And Ohnoez... thank you for reminding me to download those as soon as I can.

I think 9 7 9 7 9 7 works as an air combo... though I'm sure it differs a lot depending on how far they are. I started using it pretty well today actually just mostly on accident.... really takes a lot of practice to do it correctly on purpose other than mashing the same direction a bunch of times.

In general, except for the noel player in our group.. he's a dick.
-
I think if it's in a return state it'll go out farther on 6A[M]... that's what I've noticed.. but I could be wrong.
-
I'm sorry what?

Manakan has plenty of videos up on youtube, and while he might not be the best litchi player ever he's definitely good enough to learn from. And yeah.. the Litchi combo videos that are on LK's youtube profile are great... Litchi CMV 3 is almost addicting to watch. Then there's the Litchi Combo Encyclopedia video that's like 10 minutes long (though granted the last minute is FRKZ Bang combos for absolutely no reason).... That's about it really.... If you want to see how NOT to play litchi you can watch the ArcSys demonstration.. it's litchi vs arakune and they're both terrible.

Yeah, i've seen it happen on itsuuA too, i raged a little on the inside, second hit just whiffed for some odd reason, i think i got them at the very edge of the range or something, ended up eating haku-men's ch j.c into fatty damage and dying.

Kinda. I don't technically own the game or an xbox live account. But i steal the game when i can and was playing online if i got a chance on my friend's account (slayer kfk) but so were like 4 other people. So, not often and not for almost a week, mostly just stealing the game for a night or two and doing practice mode on an xbox pad, bleh. Next paycheck is going to the game, then a stick, then live after that. Stupid bills and food. Oh right, my bad on the rant, i could probably plan a time to be on it at night for player matches, but you'd probably end up playing 4 or 5 different people on the account.

As just another setup, if you hit them with the riichi b staff throw when they're on the ground and the staff ends up behind them or in the corner you can haku hatsu riichiA, if you hit them in the air i'm not sure but you could probably hatsu riichiA most of the time.

Just as a note... I thought you had a j.B in that first one individuals... Tsubame> j.BC>4kote>falling j.C> 3C >4Kote. That's the way I've been trying it... though I'm not very good at it yet... are my troubles just from doing it wrong?
-
Lol.. he probably ended up on a board very close to this one then. Those messages are fun... but normally they are written in a slightly more... hostile... tone.
-
I find myself reverting back to spamming j.B or j.C depending, which oddly helps me about as much if not more than it hurts...
-
..... 2B Haku Chun AllGreen Dash 6B j.BCD 6C Tsubame 6C 3C... Why? Cuz I felt like burning 50% meter without the staff for the same effect as a regular BnB with the staff leaving me in the same spot only if the staff is between them and the corner when I start.... for the looks. Oh I'm sorry I thought we were posting combos that overtly extravagent and costly to the point of being almost useless in a real match... ^.^ Had to.

IAD is 956, quickly. Which is the dp movement just... Higher up.

He's not.. there is a sound, a little ding to be precise.

Or link with All Green there on that last one Gwrgyn. The big thing though with what you suggested OhNoez is umm... the setup for that combo is... stupid and will rarely be seen, Gwyrgyn's ideas are more 'useful' than what you listed, and I think that's probably more the right idea. That type of combo isn't great or all that useful from a neutral setting, but as a tech reset or as an oki mixup where you have the time to start holding D (since that activation does take away your guard, releasing doesn't) without eating a counter hit (which you would if they were near by) or have to start a bit away to stay safe. One of the few times I would see your combo being all that useful would be if you baited a haku-men counter or something.

I think individuals is thinking of something slightly different than what you mean. There is a point where if you are moving too quickly (i.e. super jumping or dashing away) while the mantenbou is returning to you where it will be 'on' you but counted as if it was in a return state, even though you didn't do a return state. That's about all I've seen, and I could just be watching poorly....

Hatsu and Tsubame are barely comparable (and hatsu's not technically a DP... :P) hatsu isn't as fast or as invincible.
-
I've gotten a few from Rachels for doing 2C 6C.... Tagers seem to deal with it better. I get lazy online a lot and don't mixup my tech traps at all and just do 6C Tsubame 6C D, it's ineffective normally but online it works well, and when they keep being caught by it they yell at me for abusing loops, they don't notice that it black beats or that they tech and I catch them....
-
What I want to know, since we're on a huge discussion of Kokushi Musou... is how those hits we throw in affects proration and whether that proration affects each individual hit of Kokushi... we might be throwing damage away by hitting them early in it.... we might just want to wait and Hatsu Chun or j.C tsubame at the end....
-
Don't test it out online, do it in training mode and get it down... the problem with online is frame lag which means that when you input a move, the game will wait a few frames before executing that command. So you might be releasing D at the right time sightwise, but then the game will wait a little bit longer before it actually releases it. So it may 'not' be your execution, you just may not be familiar enough with the combo and the game to automatically start adapting to frame lag. The game is very different between playing online and regular versus. I can barely do her easier combos consistently online.. and for some reason have a lot of trouble IADing too... when I'm doing harder combos with decent consistency (not good.. like... 50-60%) in regular versus. Her j.B is amazing absolutely positively pee-everywhere amazing. But don't get in the habit of just throwing it out everywhere, that'll get you killed against some characters when they know what they're doing (Ragna and Rachel come to mind). Sometimes it's good to jump-in and spam j.B to hope for a cross up or something, while other times it's better to sit back and poke or block and punish, that's a big thing to learn.
-
You're jumping a little early, he has about a second of flashy startup time where he turns and puts a hand on his sword (since the opponent is normally stunned), you don't jump right away but it's pretty easy to time and get a falling j.B off if you get a few chances to practice and see, one of my friends plays hakumen and when he learned you could super counter the staff he started trying it all the time until I stopped getting it by it.
-
Yeah.... online sometimes I'll get props for doing a riichi (since it's also like 4 or 5 times harder to do online) combo or using the riichi kicks in general... But in real life I normally get dirty glares for using her long combos, or the one time I messed up the riichi combo in the corner and so I ended up catching them with the C kick on recovery instead and hitting them 7 or 8 times in the air... I got a real dirty look and a lot of muttered curses when they realized that it wasn't them missing techs, it just combo'd like that.
-
Good start. You IAD just like you normally do 956 (UpForward -> Neutral -> Forward) Releasing the staff shouldn't even interrupt Litchi, only starting the process (when you first hit D she has an animation, but when you release she does not). Delay ]D[ until Litchi recovers. JBC is j.B -> j.C The rest of the combo will literally just be staff2 hits, you jumpB then jumpC, then you'll land on the ground and Tsubame (623D) and then 6C to catch them on the way back down. No problem.

I doubt it'll ever really happen. Not enough pokes, not as much damage... You're welcome to try if you really want to though. If you want something done, do it yourself. :D
