I spend a lot of time trying to find good punishes for the reversals people do vs eddie. here's what I got so far. I want to be able to unblockable or at least resummon after someone has DP'd little eddie. Hard to find stuff vs some DPs. I had a lot more videos I wanted to make but my computer broke. Was working on a big tutorial and a bunch of other shit. oh well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRKUkHQ6HHY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ies1ly_Wwt4

dead angle baits/punishes. dp punishes. optimized shadow gallery loop stuff. throw RC combos.

You can beat wake up Sol DP by doing mawaru then a well timed 6P. Volcanic Viper will hit eddie, first hit of 6P will clash, and the second hit will hit Sol and you get a combo. I like doing this because it doesn't require any kind of hard read. If they don't DP just carry on after the 6P on block with eddie pressure. edit: my bad missed the post that mentioned it already

As far as j.K goes I find it easier to hit small characters with it than before. j.K would whiff a lot for me on grounded small characters like Venom and Elph. Happens very rarely if ever at all now.

I'm no cyber athlete but I think the key to beating Faust is reminding yourself not to take the match full screen. I know I have the habit of trying to create a lot of space so I can summon, and this is what Faust wants. Remember that at the beginning of the round. Don't let Faust get that space. Also we saw a Bedman blitz Ogawa's unblockable in the 3v3. More reversal blitz shields are happening in 1.1 in general so it's going to be an issue for unblockable more than it was before. I heard using YRC is still useful to play around it because of some dumb invul mechanics. Finding the best resummons will be the homework for now. I think 2D as your low starter is good again like it used to be since converting into 5D isn't as crucial. Good low starter and it might just be me but blocking a Zato that uses 2D as a low and not just 5K/2K changes the rhythm a bit making it even more challenging to block.

Cool idea in that video. Gives me some ideas. Thanks!

I agree a good match on this feels a bit better than a good match on sf4, but that's not the point. It's almost 2015 not 2009. A bad online experience shouldn't be acceptable. Complain away.

It's just about getting enough games/training mode under your belt to be comfortable controlling the character. I don't think there is any one moment that makes you go "oh I get it now" and suddenly you're Ogawa. You just get more comfortable with the character as you play more.

yeah you can get a 50 percent RC on a drill and it'll stay out but it looks like YRC makes the drill go away
-
if you yrc a drill I think the drill goes away but still leaves a puddle

It's definitely possible. I asked a pad eddie player I know and he says the default layout in this game works fine for Zato.

So true. Every community is guilty of it. It hurts every scene. People would be more willing to dabble in many games if each scene didn't feel the need to constantly rag on other games. Another thing to point out: I've been learning Tekken for the past year. That game is hard. Luckily for me I started a little before Tag 2 dropped. This let me avoid all the commotion that happened as soon as it landed on consoles. When it landed on consoles and everyone asked "should I try Tekken?" many seasoned players said it was too hard. This caused many people to never even try the game that had interest in it. I think this hurt the game so damn much. No game is TOO hard. Let people decide if it's too hard after they actually attempt to learn it. Don't stop them before they even try. Guilty Gear is also hard. So please, when people ask if they should try Guilty Gear just answer with a resounding "YES". Tell them it's fun and challenging. Just don't scare people away with language like "it's too hard".
