  1. (I just scanned through this topic, and didn't see this posted yet so feel to insult me if it has already been posted ) Yesterday while playing CS w/ a Hakumen player, we found out that Hakumen can cut through bursts, creating one of his circles of doom. Not sure how practical this is, but it might be useful to know

  3. Something else I thought of If you bring a stick/controller that you think many people will use (like an unmodded SF4 TE, at the tourneys I go to there's like 10 people w/ one) be sure to have some sort of marking to distinguish yours from everyone else. I almost lost my stick once, so the next tourney I went to I just put my name on the bottom of it w/ permanent marker. Works like a charm
  4. ^So feel free to mash buttons and yell "BURSTALREADYDAMMIT" if your opponent doesn't have 50 heat, right? SRK also has a couple of places to check if a search here on DL comes up empty. Even though they're more SF oriented there's a pretty good chance that places w/ SF will have BB and GG running
  5. That's awesome lol And you can forget about the party bug thing >_>

The owners have said they would be happy to keep a no venue fee standard, as long as our sales are still looking good. Last time was awesome! 7. Hey derphead, fix your sig. Both links go to the same picture :P

  8. I love it and I love you for it (no homo) lol

  9. Yeah, I know what you mean. If the character doesn't feel natural then I don't enjoy using them as much. Maybe you should look into Tsubaki or Lambda Luckily for me, Arakune and Hazama both felt natural (though watching a good amount of vids of Zakiyama using Hazama may have helped >_>) and I have a blast using them. Still not sure on how much I want to use the squiggly in CS though If they do play GG hardcore in STL then they should have it at AR. I won't bother w/ it until CS's console release cuz while SF4 and T6 are fun, I don't really get into them as much as I do w/ ASW fighters And glad to hear you're getting into GG, KC can always use more GGers. We'll have to do some rounds whenever I go to the Friday hookup

  10. Sean's a tier whore for going from Rachel to Litchi :P Honestly though, I can't really blame him for dropping Rachel, and he did say he subbed Litchi in CT. They completely broke her in CS, and I might do the same if a similar fate were to happen to both Hazama and Arakune in a future BB installment. Also, I was somewhat hyped for AR, but hearing that there's little interest in BB and no interest in GG there killed any hype for me. I hope it gets better w/ BBCS though

  11. Fair enough, and yeah I hope Sean brings back some stuff similar to the crazy shit he did in CT w/ Rachel to CS. I'm super-hyped for Hazama, but I'll still probably use the squiggly a good amount Also, so much rage in the SRK KC thread LOL

  12. Definitely, I'm planning on going to the hookup whenever I don't work on Friday from now on cuz I really want to work on my Guilty Gear game. But I'll also do some BB, and yeah I'm really excited for the (eventual) console release of CS Also, if you don't care about potential lag issues send me a friend request and we can do some online matches :v:

  15. Hey I just wanna say, as odd as it may be, thanks for getting me to start looking for a local tourney group. You suggested a while back that the people on Gfaqs to do it, and I listened. As a result I'm enjoying BB more than before, and found some GG competition too :D

  16. HEY in the European tournament thread you mentioned being back in the states for a couple of weeks starting this Thursday. If you have access to Blazblue I wanna do some player matches w/ you. It's been too long since we've fought >_>

  18. Welcome to SEASON 2, Episode 2 of Kansas City's only Monthly Tournament Series! Venue:Toad's Pub and Perk, AKA The Daily Dose Location: 12056 W 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66221 Easy access from I-35 Highway Date: Saturday, January 16th Start Time: Doors will open for games at 12 pm Venue Fee: $5 Price per game: $10/$5 NEW EVENT : RAFFLE MONEY MATCHES How this event works, is that by paying the $10 entry into a game, you have already bought yourself an opportunity to compete again, even if you are eliminated from the tournament. Example: SFIV has 24 entries, and you were one of them. You may be selected among the 24 people who entered SFIV, to compete in the SFIV match. Each game will have it's own match, just like this. Following each tournament, 2 players that competed will be randomly selected from a raffle to compete against one another in a FT3 match for $10. This means that even if you are a lower level competitor, you may have the opportunity to square off against someone else of your level in a chance to regain your entry money. In the event a lower level competitor plays a stronger opponent, you are getting a free lesson, and if two strong players are paired off... well that's just HYPE!!. This will be the case for each game. The money comes straight out of my pocket, so don't worry about the pots being infringed on. This is just another way to generate hype at the tournaments, and give even weaker players a chance to shine. RANBAT POTS This season, we're doing it right. Every entry fee that is collected will put $2 toward that games seasonal ranbat pot. At the end of the season, each games pot will be split 60/25/10/5. 19. ^Can't be dumber than an Arakune mirror match >_> Just watch the 2nd fight in this vid lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UykqHIb8hw
  20. Your Bang kicks my ass every time we play, but I really enjoy our fights >_>

  21. I didn't have that combo down then >_> (especially for online play)
  22. QFT lol Anyway, the best way to get rid of curses is getting close and poking the other Arakune ASAP. Don't do big and really unsafe moves to get rid of curse. All it takes is one little flick and you can go back to the fight being the race of who can curse their enemy quicker
