I'm guessing it's safe to say that BBCS is dead tourney-wise in STL? Shame cuz at the one AR I actually made the trip for there was a decent amount of players. I'll also guessing the release of AH3 and the nearing release of MvC3 are some of the reasons for the decline in interest Also, I doubt that anyone here will make the trip, but just in case: the 26th of this month will be the next KC tourney

^Like I posted earlier, if there were a hookup w/ yourself, PJ, and other STL BBers (and GGers too maybe? ) I'd be really tempted to head down as long as I can spend the night at someone's place, I'm not working, and the weather/roads aren't terrible. I talked to a few people around here and some might tag along if I go
-
Any chance in games next week? I got family stuff + work (the place I work is open during Christmas) this week
-
@AKA: If you were to do a hookup with BB and GG going on, I'd be very tempted to make the trip down as long as 1: I can crash at your place for the night and 2: the roads aren't shit due to snow/ice. I'm almost done w/ classes for the semester, and should have a lot of free time this month. That said, the earlier the heads up the easier it'd be for me to ask off work. Maybe I could even convince a couple of KC players to come down w/ me Also, I think I already know the answer to this, but is there any chance you can make the FR qualifier? @Evilben: Even if you still want to post here and get a STL DL scene going (hell, I wish I could get one going for KC), I'd still suggest at least lurking the SRK STL thread from time to time. All the tourney info I've been posting here has been posted in the STL thread on SRK, so it's still a good place to keep an eye on for info, even if they're talking about SSF4 99% of the time (that's just how Missouri's fighting game scene is though )
-
Hey Another tourney, Dec. 4th. Info here And if anyone can make the trip to the KC area, I'd recommend trying to make it to this tourney Dec. 18th. Since it's a qualifier for a major it should have quite a turnout

It ends when the tourney for BB starts. I'd suggest trying to be there earlier (possibly before the time SSF4 starts) just so you can pay your entry fee and give info to the guy who runs AR (Kurasa) before he gets busy participating in the tourneys. Even if you don't like SSF4 there should be a station or 2 running some BB casuals while waiting for the tourney to start. If you have any more questions, I guess ask me (I live in KC and can't even make it to every AR
). If I can't answer any I can just forward them to Kurasa -

Maxout (11/13/10) S3E5 Results Good times to all, I want to mention that there may not be a Max Out next month since the Final Round Qualifier will be going on the 18th. Here's the thread for that. I hope everyone who made it to MO will make it to that, it should have a much bigger turnout for every game there and should be good for leveling up and just getting hype in general If there turns out to be a MO I'll be sure to make a thread for it, but don't be surprised if there isn't one SSFIV Teams 1 Team Barlog 2 Team Asshole 3 Team Gandhi Russian 4 Team Sexy Back 5 Team PartyRockers 5 Team Meta 7 Team Already Drunk 7 Team Lesbo SSFIV Singles 1 Rexor (Boxer) 2 German Leuger (Claw) 3 BoxBroSG (Cammy) 4 Axiom (Ryu) 5 Focra (Gief) 5 Warden (Fei) 7 Phantom (Ken) 7 Gilty (Makoto) T6 1 DatBoiSTL (Bruce) 2 Axiom (Eddy) 3 BoxBroSG (Christy) 4 Rick_The_Rular (Law/Bob) 5 Prod1gy (Steve) 5 Count Smackula (Hwoarang) 7 Mr. Mister (Nina) TvC 1 DatBoiSTL 2 Warder 3 DrunkNinja 4 Luigi182 5 No Alias 5 Ice Blitz 7 JSPOT BBCS 1 DatBoiSTL 2 Blargh 3 SilverDrgn84 4 Dator 5 Count Smackula 5 Professor Lex 7 Prod1gy 7 SniperMav Mystery (Super Pocket Fighter) 1 No Alias 2 Chachi 3 JSPOT 3 Professor Lex Ranbat Season SSFIV Rexor - 48 German Leuger - 29 Dr Kong - 21 Axiom - 20 Boxbrosg - 12 Warden - 11 GetThere1Time - 6 Mr. K - 5 Focra - 5 Chachi - 4 Radian - 4 Jspot - 3 Jamarvelous - 2 Big Dick Fuerte - 2 Sang - 2 SFCatgirl - 1 Zenkix - 1 Don Quixote - 1 Cactusguy - 1 Shine Gigs - 1 Phantom - 1 Gilty - 1 T6 AxioM - 45 Boxbrosg - 31 That Boy STL - 24 Mr. Mister - 21 Prod1gy - 15 Count Smackula - 10 ArkiveZero - 7 Ekie - 4 PataPete - 4 Rick_The_Ruler - 4 GK2000! - 4 Dr. Kong - 2 Chai - 2 GetThere1Time - 1 SfCatgirl - 1 No Alias - 1 DarkXDragon - 1 Mute - 1 Copy-pasted from here Shoutouts for those who I think might lurk here @Deron: I think this might be the last tourney where you have to choose someone besides your main, if not at least the last Max Out. Definitely excited for the return of your baby Rachel to be bringing the pain, and great shit w/ your blocking Litchi's mixups @Dator: I'm disappointed that we didn't get any games at all, I was grinding that Litchi matchup just for you but never got the chance to try some stuff out against you Oh well, I look forward to getting matches w/ you @ FR Qualifiers and future @IOKain: Also disappointed we didn't get games in, especially since your Carl was looking quite nice. I'll have to try online w/ you and Dator sometime, hopefully it won't be a lagful rage fest and if not there's always future tourneys. Be sure to bring your camera next time too (bring it to FR! ), I'd love to have some recorded footage to study up on. I'd almost suggest recording all of BB at least at Max Outs if you have enough memory space for it, a little extra pressure is good for everyone considering grand finals are recorded regardless of who's playing @SilverDragon: Way to go w/ those upsets man. If someone had told me that morning that I'd be fighting you for 2nd place I wouldn't have believed it. But that's good for you man and for the rest of the scene as well. As more people get better the games will get better, keep it up @ProfessorLex: You said you knew the stuff/gimmicks you were using this past Saturday at the October tourney, yet I can't help but wonder if that's true cuz there looked like there was a night and day difference in how well you performed. You said it was luck, and maybe it was. Either good work w/ Tager and keep it up. Tager's always hype to watch So, hope to see you all at the FR qualifier. Good shit to all :china:

Good shit w/ the forums Zidane, outside of confusing a fedora for a top hat anyway Anyway... a) can go b) can go or be at least locked if you want it there for those curious about it until the next loketest, and then it can go if it's still around. With the future loketests I'd suggest either a new thread w/ the info that would be instantly locked w/ discussion in the Haz general thread, or just have Haz general for loketests altogether c) seems pointless now b/c of the QnA thread, so it can go
-
Thanks Ben, updated the AR thread

New AR tourney thread, set date is November 27 Not sure if I'll make this one, it's too soon to tell. But eh, there you guys go. Maybe posting it on DL will attract more BB newcomers at least

Pituchez... I'm think we played CT online a couple of times? I remember your name from somewhere but I don't remember what Yeah I'm done w/ Arakune, Hazama is too fun and IB>Jayoku is probably the most satisfying thing ever in any fighting game I've played Ben: yeah I guess I'll post up when AR tourneys are in this thread regardless of if I attend them or not. Just gotta hope Kurasa posts them up on SRK as soon as he has them planned instead of just 1 week prior to the event lol And if any of you guys are planning on coming through KC and not on a Friday and want to get games in while in town, feel free to PM me and I'll try to work something out. If you're in town on a Friday generally there will be a hookup that has a variety of fighting games going on (SSF4, BBCS, and T6 are the main ones), info for that in the KC thread

AR results DL thread in case people didn't check out the SRK one Anyway, I'm glad to have finally met STL's BB scene. I'm definitely looking forward to many more games in BB (and some GG too) in the future with you guys

Kansas City Drinking: We Have a Serious Fighting Game Problem
ludwig van replied to ludwig van's topic in Offline Community
Yeah, our SC4 scene is about as big as our Akatsuki Blitzkampf scene (aka almost nonexistent). I think it was played for a short bit at one hookup, and I haven't seen it played since New Maxout thread here and we're having a FT10 $100 MM, it's gonna be awesome
