  1. Air stance on 2da isnt even a buff anymore if they raped air stance cancel. He got wrecked for no reason.

  3. Tao is fat enough to get hit by grounded 2da into b orb, and thus you should be osing it by doing 1da 6b 4ad which will give b boom on hit and 5da on block giving you more damage on hit and way way safer on block. Even if they aren't fat enough for b orb you should definitely os a orb imo.
  4. There isn't, you can only late cancel to flash kick, sonic boom isn't even very close to comboing, it is a very very major nerf and the recovery does almost nothing to change it unless its so massive that he can link an a or something at which point its just a pretty bad nerf.
  5. Lol we definitely will not, 5a whiffs on crouchers and the move is currently +1 on hit from what it looked like in training mode, it would have to be given 6 less recovery frames to combo into even 2a.
  6. 6c 6db there was pretty tight when I tried it, yet again not really working when I actually confirmed 2c rather than just instant cancelling it, but good to know.

  8. Lol they will definitely not work to link 3c if he has to teleport to the ground though he may be able to air stance cancel 3c or something.He's been destroyed when he was already mediocre. If 3c pushes too far for 2dc midscreen hes a joke character if its just on block he'll be fine. Recovery change is barely meaningful as you should be boom or stance cancelling 90 percent of the time, they aren't moves that you use in a situation where they can whiff. 5c hit stun nerf will wreck 6b 5c corner routes because you have to let them drop a fair amount to link stinger, same with his best corner throw combo but probably won't effect his 5c 2da combos that occur early on. 2db buff only serves to counteract 5c hitstun nerf but is otherwise pretty useless so his only buff ends up being 2da which is counterbalanced by 6a nerf because the overhead option after will be weak. his mixup is gonna end up being tick command grab vs double low which is pretty timing avoidable. Not looking good but we'll have to see.
  9. Yeah I don't do that ender on that combo because i generally confirm 2c into 2db and if you don't do it pretty much immediately the combo is impossible, didn't think about using 6c for the extra damage though good idea.

  11. Update looks like it made a bad game worse! Arcsys does it again!
  12. Immediate 5b after the orb, delay as long as possible on 3c and do 5da immediately. It's a tricky combo but the extra corner carry and damage makes it super worth it at right around midscreen. If you are backed into your half of the screen i advice using a CT and side switching instead for a better knockdown and damage.

  16. Fun event, gj Alan, wish there were more casuals/games being played and less "events" but that seems to be what gets people to show up so it's hard to complain. One thing, as someone who won the tournament in very large part BECAUSE it was teams (shoutouts to godlike teammates and kokonoe), teams should probably not be the main event in such an early tournament for a game. While I do believe teams bring the hype in scenarios where the players are all strong, right now the disparity in levels is just way too huge for the already small anime scene. As my first foray into a tournament where my main focus was playing an anime game noticed a lot of interesting things and changes from the "Capcom scene" but also definitely enjoyed myself, hope to make it out to more events and catch up with the guys I got to talk to.

  21. You can get a dash 3c, 5dc 2da and do the same combo for more damage, 4391 for oki and 5621 for super. Closer to the corner(starting positions or closer) I have a combo that does 5832 and is pretty easy. 6DC CH, dash 6c, 6da, 3c, 6dc, 2dc, b boom, 5c, 2da, 5da, 6da, 3c, super. You can eke out slightly more damage by option for 5c 6dc 5da dash route instead after the boom but I have found nothing close to consistent of a method for making that work.
  22. Strong damage and oki, able to footsie in most matchups, gets zoned quite badly when characters have fast enough projectiles to make 6dc a non viable reactable option. He can normally win by turtling and taking momentum but has a couple problem matchups that stop him from really shining. Mid tier overall but pretty notably matchup dependant with Hakumen(horrible can't throw booms) the robot gals and Relius standing out to me as being very, very hard. In his good and even matchups he is pretty scary to deal with and quite hard to come back on if you let him take the life lead.
  23. So you can do 6b Jump cancel overdrive into gokuenjin for a non cancel overdrive lol, using a rapid to get it is much better though from what it seems but I'm wondering if theres a 100 meter combo that could abuse this.
