  1. Nah, it's all of online. 4 bars is hardly tolerable and you still drop the more complicated combos. 3 bars is unplayable. That games online is a laggy piece of shit.
  2. If you do it Ron, I'll ask if there is anything going on.
  3. Yeah not sure, I know Will mentioned it in like one post. Sucks that SRK went down right before the weekend. Hopefully I'm gonna be off playing games with people SOMEWHERE this Saturday. If not, oh well.
  4. You fucking know it. After Street Fighter, shit like Castle Crashers/Scott Pilgrim now looks broke as fuck. Cause it is, and I just never knew it.
  5. When I beat the first boss with Richter he said "DIE MONSTER" for me. That's pretty amazing. But yeah, I've only bought Richter so far, but Spin Kick is too fun. I also unlocked a martial art called Sliding kick, which is where you hold down and hit A to do your normal slide, but then you hit A again to leap off the ground and kick someone in the face. And at any point that can be cancelled into either an attack or a Spin Kick. And attacks cancel into Spin Kicks. So I can do Slide, Sliding Kick into an enemy, Whip, Spin Kick. Then land and backdash crouch cancel the hell out of throwing some knives.
  6. Good games people, and thank you Brent for my delicious Agua de Morado.
  7. I'm up for Super, I'll be a tad late.
  8. I want to attend the gag. I'm not sure if I can make it though, depends on my gas situation what with the no job for another week and all.
  9. Call them, you can't come off as a jerk. Just tell them what you got charged, that you stack really high but you don't leave your tray messy and cluttered.
  10. I might try to find some way to go. I think Brent should hollow out G Banana and just let me curl up and hide inside it on the plane. Or NOT curl up, and still hide inside it.
  11. Thursday I will be back in Greenville by around 4 PM. I can play until around 1 AM if we do Thursday.
  12. And Matt yells at me for not practising fighting games NOW......................... </kriskelley>
  13. Brent, Castlevania Lords of Shadow is amazing. I can see why they said it felt more like Street Fighter than God of War. There aren't really any big Square Square Square Triangle Triangle Triange combos in the game like in God of War. It's all a bunch of smaller combos that are either button sequences, holding a button, or hitting two buttons back to back really fast. You can hit Square to start a combo, or hit Square and then immediately hit X to jump cancel it into a launcher into an air combo into a spike into anything ground combo or relaunch. If Gabriel was in HnK he would start every fight with a Fatal KO and all his matches would be 10-0, including Gabriel/Gabriel. Basically you can mix and match anything into anything else at anytime for any reason. Everything cancels into everything which then cancels back into itself. Also, in addition to dodge they have an air stomp that functions as both a dive kick and an air dodge. This game is fucking amazing. Ron, PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2?! WHAAAAAAAAT?
  14. I've only played 2. Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast (dammit why can't it be 2001 again) was so much fun that I got it again on GameCube, as well as Diablo 2. Those games made me eventually try FFXI and WoW for a bit. Didn't care much for those two games, but WoW was definitely the more fun of the two. I prefer the MMO-esque games like PSO and Diablo 2 vs actual MMOs though. Usually they have more action-based gameplay instead of generic ass auto-attack + cooldown timer abilities. Also they're usually just like 4-6 people in an instanced world/lobby instead of people running all over the place with a central auction house + fucked up economy because of goldsellers. I'm looking forward to Diablo 3.
  15. I wanna play! But can't until around 11:45 or midnight. Maybe. I'm not sure. I hate life.
  16. You know what, I don't even give a fuck. This post post below is so awesome that it undoes any negative thing you can say: And this is what I practice instead of Street Fighter. Fuck horses. I wouldn't have to ride one if Q would make some room on that saddle for me and PacJames to tag along. Then the three of us could ride Matt's dick all the way to Lucky's and while talking shit about Jon.
  17. If I had to guess, it's cause he'd already alienated himself from everyone who knew better and was clinging to a new hope. Or because he had a big enough beef with the people giving you shit (SURVEY SAYS... MATT FRANK - 82 points) that defending you would cause more problems than it would solve. In my short time here, I've gotten the vibe that Ed aligns himself towards people he thinks he can get some use out of. Even EmoPrinny has had to kick him out. He pissed Brent off. WHO PISSES BRENT OFF. I get where you're coming from. You're clinging REAAAAL hard to the idea that we're all equal and we all have the same motives so clearly we can all just get along if we try hard enough. But that won't happen. I've heard enough from Ed with my own two ears (and not hearsay, which is usually from reliable sources) to see it. NO JON.
  18. I hold everything against Brent at all times. That smartass white mother fucker.
  19. If Roski didn't want to play scrubs, he would just have secret gatherings and never post up on SRK and only post them on TZ and then not show up to a hotel gathering when all the SC Tekken players came. Not saying I know anyone who does that or anything... I get what he's saying though. It makes sense, it's just not something a lot of people come out and say for whatever reason, cause there's a set list of rules of things you're allowed to think but not say without looking like an asshole. He's not exclusively playing good players, but he doesn't want to exclusively play new players either. If I had to GUESS, I'd say a good/new 20/80 or 30/70 mix works. Shit maybe even less good players, like 10/90. All you need is a big gathering with at least a few good players there to get in REALLY good sets with, but not minding watching and playing the new players and giving tips. There needs to be a balance of community growth as well as individual growth. And driving 2 hours for 100% community growth with 0% individual growth fucking sucks. Brent, we need to play dat Castlevania. Stop ducking me! And Dale, I'm not saying you're paranoid, but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about you as a person or a player. I've heard some shit talk on all sides about a lot of people, but not you yet. We all have stuff to learn, and that includes the people getting paid as well as the people paying.
  20. Don't feel bad, Phil is too. OHHHHH ON BLAST. Too bad he doesn't post on dustloop to see it. Oh well.
  21. This match is 10-0 Tager. So busted. So free.
  22. I still want to play something Sept. 4th, but I have to work everyday forever until then.
  23. Yo what happened to that roster that Frank Da Tank was supposed to do in the last thread? Like 3000 posts ago?
  24. This is some really specific good info in the last few posts. Thanks!
  25. I appreciate the advice I have gotten so far, so I'm not trying to sound bitchy or ungrateful, but no one is answering the specific question. When Arakune happens to get the cloud that follows YOU on the ground, and walks behind it and Bellbugs, and I DON'T have Spark Volt, what is the best option? I listed a number of things I HAVE tried, and how they ended up with me in a worse situation than I would've been in had I just accepted the fact I was going to get hit by the cloud. To me it really appears that the best option at this time in the game is to simply deliberately get hit by the follow cloud, because attempts to avoid it end up far far worse. I have tried jumping, super jumping, jumping with barrier guard, and backing up. All scenarios end up with Arakune getting either curse meter from another move AND the cloud, or me getting a Negative Warning... AND getting hit with the cloud anyway, and then possibly ANOTHER move that grants curse meter. Up until this point, I am trying to get in on him while being mindful on what cloud he has out vs. how it reacts. A lot of Arakune's like to try to throw you when they have the high cloud. The one that is a big ring that follows them, I see a lot of them jumping up and doing air teleport behind me so it comes at a 45 degree angle in an attempt to hit me with it. I try to keep him from getting curse meter while trying to get him magnetized to limit some of his options. However, when he SPECIFICALLY gets the cloud that comes straight at me, I am unable to find a way around it. All attempts make the situation worse. It looks like I should just let it hit me and accept the fact that's it's a free hit for him and continue the match. I appreciate any advice on any match-up that will help me better myself, but I really am specifically looking for THIS answer. If no one has it, that's perfectly fine. But I'm sure by now someone has figured it out, but just hasn't posted it yet cause the specific question hasn't been pointed at with a big "ANSWER THIS PLEASE" sign until now. Don't get me wrong, it's not like this one thing ruins my whole match and makes it 9-1 Arakune or anything crazy like that. But understanding ways around what's going for each little thing is going to make the whole match play a lot smoother. And I want to know anything I can do to keep the match in my favor to the best of my options. And right now, this one cloud is a scenario I don't have a clear answer for, and I want to be sure there isn't one before I just start walking into like an idiot if I'm just missing something really obvious.
