I'm fairly certain it will be done in 2 weeks. I've been held up by the artwork for the control panel but it should be done any day now. That sounds fun. Which game? random select game also? We could compile all the old GG games. That would be TRUE random select madness Someone mentioned the blindfold idea for SFIV but we thought it would get stupidly loud to where you couldn't hear what to do anyway. The button switching could be interesting. Any ideas for AH and MB? Keep the ideas coming. I'll see how you guys respond and then choose the best ideas.

Thanks for posting it up. I just came over to do that and ask everyones suggestions. As long as it's not pure insanity, I'm down for whatever type of tournament you guys come up with. If you guys want to do some straight up money tournaments, thats fine as well. As long as it gets a bunch of people together in the Dustloop community. I know there's plenty of you out there that would enjoy a whole day of Dustloop-esque tournaments ONLY. That opportunity doesn't present itself too often as far as I can tell. For the record, the only related arcade cab game I have is still GGXXSlash. I haven't been able to find a reasonably priced GGAC gd-rom yet. I did just get Killer Instinct 1 in though! Not sure how many of you guys play that but we could do the first tournament for it on the 24th if there's some interest. If there's any other arcade game you'd like to see that I don't have, let me know because I've been selling off some of my old pcbs to buy some more desirable stuff for the fighting game crowds. I just picked up Vampire Savior 1 recently. I remember talking to some guys about it last year at a GG/BB tourney. They were playing it on their laptop that night. Just another option.

You will notice a ridiculous amount of new arcade games this week. Here's what we have on the floor as of today. We could sell one or two before the weekend hits. We are packed to the brim right now without affecting the tourney/console area. Tekken Tag Tournament Tekken 3 UN Squadron Metal Slug 2 Rampage World Tour Blitz 2000 / NBA Showtime GOLD Windjammers Wrestlemania Vampire Savior 2 Marvel Super Heroes Battlezone Marvel vs Capcom 2 (sitdown dual screen cab)

This isn't necessarily Dustloop related but it is fighting game related, and this should be fun for anyone who's played fighting games throughout their life. The soon to be legendary OLD SCHOOL ONSLAUGHT series at Arcade Legends continues with RAINBOW EDITION. This tournament will feature fighting games of yore, some lost gems, forgotten garbage and underplayed classics. I'm compiling a list of games below. This is what I DEFINITELY have in hand or promised to be in hand so far. If you plan to come and have some games that fit the program, post up here or PM me. If you end up not being able to come, please let me know ASAP so I can remove those games from the list. Side tournies are welcome and encouraged. I heard some BUST-A-GROOVE talk the other day. Post up some ideas and a couple that get the best response will be added to the days events. TOURNAMENT DETAILS DATE: March 27th, 2010 TIME: - OSO:RE starts at 1pm. TBA is at 7pm VENUE: Arcade Legends 5951-3 Boymel Dr Fairfield, OH 45014 513-874-8766 www.arcadelegendsohio.com COST: $8 venue (includes FREE PLAY all day on our 50+ arcade machines) $7 to enter the tournament $0 for the SFIV qualifier RULES: One person for each match will randomly pick a card that has the game to be played written on it. Best 3 out 5 for each game including all finals. That'll give you a few matches to get good at the game quickly. Double Elimination. The pot will be split 70/20/10 & there will a rad prize for the winner! You can bring your own controller if you have one for these systems, but we will have pads available and some sticks. I can confirm 2 fight sticks for the SEGA GENESIS! I'm sure people will have PS1/2 sticks also. A few of the games will be on arcade machines. Keeping with OSO tradition, the FINAL MATCH will be on a game that very few, if any, of you guys have seen or played so the playing field will be level. Updated with Saturdays results and current standings. Jason takes over first in BB. The rest of the top are so close. It will be a great season finale next month. GGs in Super Dodge Ball Matt and Jacob. We need to get some more of that and Caveman Games in. I forgot to introduce you to the world of Dusty Diamonds All-Star Softball also. Next time you come on a Thursday we'll have alot more time for NES. Also, I just purchased the NEO GEO Super Dodge Ball arcade board so we can check that out next time. I hear its pretty fun. Jason and Paul didn't claim there 3rd place Energy Drink prize. Remind me next time you are at AL that I owe you one.

That's the best price I've seen so far. I'm posting on the Sega Naomi forums to see if anybody has one cheaper. I can't swing $300 for a board right now.
-
Just the Gd-rom and security chip $284 is the best price I've seen so far but still too much right now.
-
Does anyone ever see the GGAC Naomi arcade stuff for sale? I've been trying to get my hands on one for many months but I've never even seen one for sale. Not even the Asian sites that have lots of rad boards for sale at ridiculous prices.

You are right Matt, I do sometimes forget to post up here. I'm updating it after this post. I'll have Dodge Ball and Bushido Blade 2 already at the arcade so no need to bring that stuff. I now have 5 nice CRTs so no more ever-so-slightly laggy HDTVs or monitors. I'll put BB on the projector but it's up to both players if they want to use it. We could just watch "Ghostbusters" on it during the ranbats Also, the first person to post up who can bring a PS2 with GGAC and a PS3 copy of BB (just the game) will get free admission on Saturday. Any other setups brought will be used for casuals if space allows @Commanderoftroy - we can have a BB setup on 360. As long as your opponent is willing to play you on it, it's fine with me. I have a couple 360s but I don't have BB on it so someonw will need to bring that if we decide to hook one up. It'd be great to have some new blood at the ranbats

Arcade Legends in Fairfield, OH is proud to announce SEASON 2 of the Ranking Battles. Come prove yourself amongst players in the local scene and spend some quality time with our 50+ arcade and pinball machines all set on free play. Season 2 will be slightly different than season 1. First, the season will last 4 months. Second, there will only be 2 weeks of ranbats per month. Third, the prize values have been raised to reflect the extra week. Since there isn't really anything obvious to go along with Tekken 6, it will be played on the same day as BB and GGAC but in the evening. I know a few T6 players are into BB so they can come early and enter that if they wish. The evenings with T6 will be open for whomever wants to run a side tourney alongside T6. If any of you in the Dustloop crowd want a money tournament after the ranbats, I'm all for it. PM me or post it up and we'll hammer out the details. I forgot about AH. I'll add that as well. I felt like there was one more game the Dustloop crowd played but I couldn't think of it. MB and AH are both only on PS2 correct? Which version of those games is best for tournament? Would it even be worth getting MB on arcade for the tournament or would everyone prefer just play it on console? I know for sure I can't afford AH on arcade. I've tried to bid on it before and it usually goes way out of my price range. Anyone want to come up with a good name for the tournament? I don't know much lingo for the GG, BB, MB, AH games so post up some suggestions. Also, can someone give me the tournament rules for MB and AH please?
