I've been liking using s,6k,S stunedge frc, s to whatever... how do you feel about those for maxing damage other than not being very burst safe? Definately very high damage and not too hard.

I was making the mistake of taking everything personally at first as well, 'Rell. I honestly thought Flash was going to be kind of an intolerable ass, but he's really a chill and nice guy. For me, there is nothing to defend, really. I think it's f'in awesome that you are all about getting better and challenging the current best. At one time, I was too, and I"m getting back to that. The biggest thing that brought SE-R to be so successful had nothing to do with me, but mostly with Kentucky (Kyle, Jais, Chase, Young, John, Ryan-Bill) travelling to tournaments, meeting alot of top class players, and enjoying playing gear and chillin' and being cool, while still being very fuckin' good at the game. I guess I know it's not that personal because if you were to roll into FR, beat the shit out of everyone, win your MM"s and singles, and basically clean house, I know the players you don't think respect you would shake your hand, tell you 'good shit man.' and be sincere in that. You would also get your props back here, but then next week, they would start talkin' shit at you again, tellin you how they are going to take your money don't be scared, anyone can get lucky once. That is just how this game community rolls. *shrug* I don't know why my point is, really. Other than Imma be at FR (and KENTUCKY IS TOO GODDAMMIT!) and Fraley will be back, and we are gonna roll in strong, rep strong, and have a damn good time. Also, I'm not working so I"m going to play games. A win my money back from Seth. I don't know how much better he's going to be, but people will be calling my Ky like Steve H's but with the sickest damage ever seen. He has my 10 bucks that really wants to come back home.

Oh my, I'm in UR thread, givin' U propz! Kobe: Dude, great to see you again, great shit kickin' my ass again. You just know how to beat me in GG, period. You in my head SON. You also chill and funny as fuck, so always great to see ya. Thanks for giving up Oni-con for SE-R man, really do appreciate that. Stone: Good to finally meet you, I heard alot about you from Jais, he said you were awesome and funny and yeah, you are. Too bad we didn't get to play, I saw that shit hot JO tho. Great shit againt Koogy. I got your message, and thanks alot for that man. Gald you came and had a good time, hope to see ya again soon. Shadow/Mike: I'm so familiar with the Slayer matchup, and you totally owned me in teams. Good shit. Great to meet you, I'd love to get down on a few more matches next time I see ya, or on some Capcom. Woof/Eric: Great shit in AH. Imma start playing that hot garbage soon. Great to meetcha, even cooler you was chillin' with Red Dog. I checked out your art site... and that is some great great shit IMO. I'll be contacting you about some commisions soon. Rotondo: Didn't get to play you very much, but I play with a Millia and Dizzy all the time, and you were still damn tough. Good meeting you tho, glad you came up for the event. Keep training, Steve. j/k. Peace bro.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a solid strat, just a possible gimmick. However feeling out for an opposing players possible ignorance of a certain situation happens all the time. Oh well, not solid really, so I see your point.
-
One gimmick to use on Pot that works well for me as far as getting inside to do damage... is knowing that Ky's new ground CSE fades out even on reflect, so once it's reflected, it will fade back out, but many advancing potemkin players don't know this, or haven't seen it. Knowing the maximum range of your normals is vital in this matchup, and you have to play it more at potemkins pace rather than your own. Stay unpredictable when playing your ranged game and you can usually get in. Slide head is the fucking devil.

I'll play capcom shit... all those listed I love. Come to SE-R and you'll get a variet of GG opponents plus I'll promise you a sitdown for SuperTurbo with myself and YK-kof. We are both very good at ST. There is also a guy who lives in Mid TN who is a godly capcom player. He just moved here but he played with Valle, Choi, all the old time greats in Cali, and he had alot of top 5 finishes in that shit. Kobe: Play a little other stuff man, it'll only help those mad natural abilities you've got. Can't wait to see how much you've imporved at SE-R 2, I'm betting it'll be quite a bit. See your almost white ass on Oct.

This shit ain't too dail-up friendly. I'll be on there soon, because well, it's always on.
-
Garrett, that was your first tourney? Shit man, that makes you even more of a solid player in my book. I was working hard for my wins against you, shit when you get more experience, I doubt I'll be able to win if I don't really step it up. Great shit sir!

If anyone else is using DVD's as a source media, then editing match vids in Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 is fucking cake. Just rename the .vob file to .mpg and Premier will open it. After recording a DVD I can have a segment edited and encoded in about 10 minutes. This option costs a few bucks, but it's high quality and n00bishly simple.

We are planning on hosting another open invitational again fairly soon. It would be sweet to get a large portion of the SouthEast together for a big casual event. We all need to kind of practice so we can get a few consistent top placers of our own. It would be great to see the somewhat overlooked Atlantic South get taken seriously, and I know we've got those kinds of players here. Ah well, that's my vision for the scene anyway.
-
They are running fine for me (well, I'm actually on dailup, but I can start a DL easily) Anyone else having this problem? Oh yeah, props to Jais for encoding these. Hopefully we'll get to handle recording and shit for other tournies.
-
Shit is fixed, sorry for the delay. Enjoy!

tenkaigear.com update. Lots of FRX tourney videos. No finals, as I can't post those but they will be on the FRX DVD. I'm fuckin' PWNED by St. Patty's, so you guys enjoy!

I just wanted to say "thanks" to everyone contributing to my leeching. I'm on dail-up and can't help, and really have little to add, such a n00b. Again, thanks for all the updates and such.
-
I'm thinking FRC that CSE and then there should be some viable way to punish her. It may eventually turn into a guessing game if a Baiken wants to try that counter attack for fear of being read and punished vs Ky. Who knows.

Slash is the first one I was competitive in, but I kinda miss my #R Ky. I played him and only him since XX and it was nice when I wasn't bitched at for playing a top tier chara. Becoming really serious about my game with Slash makes it hard to get respect when you are just now becoming a competitive player and you are lost in a sea of Ky players who actually only whore out 2HS and spam stun edges when they really don't know their character. yeah, I miss the #R days. But I was still really really dumb then. Maybe I'm not much better now, but at least I'm starting to look at the real and serious gameplay options.
-
Yeah, that is the shit aint it? Run a mothafucka down, or try to at least. US Onry, JP no Gord Burst. I play Ky and bit more loose and random in casuals, of course. He's fun like that. I get fucked for it alot too. Horray for running VT.

I'm so pumped about this shit, even if I'm fucking up half the vids. ^_^ I don't think I can post the VTYME shit... see, I don't know what the fucking hell it is. I'm sure I have the matches, but with so much source and random shit on those DVD's, I can't tell what is what anymore. I'll have the shit archived, but I think I'm going to have to 'start over' so to speak. From now on I've got to start keeping an index of matches or get the rest of the equipment so I can setup a dual audio in with 'crowd noise' as well. We need to start figuring out how to get ATL, TN, KY, Bama, and SC together for a massive GG weekend or some shit. We should figure that out in MatchFinder tho. Anyway, I appriciate the comments guys. I'm pretty sure we all take critisim a touch personally. I mean GG IS about beating the hell out of the other guy... so it is an ego thing. Kinda like KombatFreak said, I've had the pleasue to meet and play many of you now, and everyone handles themselves well and are really cool peepz, it can be hard to transfer you meaning on forums and such. I dont' think KDX was really serious about betting on the match, tho. One thing I've learned from playing with Fraley is he has this unusual talent for fighters to somehow pull these amazing wins out in a cluth moment. When somone is running the shit out of you, you generally can't mentally recover and turn the tides, but he thrives on that shit. The harder you beat him the better he gets until he's up to 13 wins in a row and you wanna choke yourself. Tha'ts been my experience, anyway. I can't post matches of me winning Jias, cuz all the coolest shit happens when I loose. Like that Ride The Lightning thru the GunFlame and the RC to save my ass against Young's SOL. Man, that is SHIT HOT. I think I'm going to go thru DVD's again really soon, and do a massive re-update, I can't promise I'll have the matches labeled any better tho, but I'll try. Peace!
-
Fraley, take that shit! Race to 5 wins, bitches. Kugz, I can't wait to play you again. I'll probably still loose the percentage, but I'mma throw the shit outta you! (I say that now) God damn, I suck at labeling. :blue: I'm really pissed at myself, but I did have about 30 source DVD's full of random shit, all not very well labeled. Oh well, Things will get better. Advent Cirno: They are DEFINATELY not yours, and I'll fix that shit. We are alot better since VTYME as well. Sorry for the fuckup, man, don't wanna be mis-reppin' the skillage of the VA/MD peepz. Thanks for looking guys. KDX, how do you think my Ky is coming since a year ago? Can't wait to play you again man! Sam needs to get his ass back on the scene and be a part of this shit too, along with Memphis guys. "Rell is a tough fucking customer.
-
Heh, I can't disagree with what g-ngan says on that one. It looks pretty bad. In defense, the millia player has been playing about 4 months now, and fraley is, IMO, one of our best. He has tress and webs galore, and the FRC... well he was missing it right there. I've eaten my share of EXE loops. There are a few 'off-matches' posted and that's one of them, but yes, he looked like dogshit in that one, true enough. KDX: Thanks man. Yeah, we never gonna stop. Thanks for helping me make the first step toward really playing this shit.
-
Well hell, this shit isn't going to well so far is it? I'll have proper credit and shit fixed soon. Fuckbeans.
-
Fuck... fuck fuck... Goddamn not well labeled DVD's. Well, I've updated the news page to reflect it's not you, but with the titles, It'll take a bit to fix. This also means that GunFlame's matches probably aren't his either. Which makes sense. I do remember I won the percentage against his Sol, but on the DVD I had, i didn't loose a single one to his Sol, and I don't think I PWNED him... so that is reflected too. Eli, can you confirm or deny this ill shit?

Hey all, http://www.tenkaigear.com We finally got our site finished and online tonight. There are about 20 something match vids on there from both Tennessee and Kentucky players, with a few travel matches against GunFlame Buri and Shazay (Sorry Mr. Mam, couldn't find any match vids with you) Anyway, check it out if you feel like it, and tell us what the fuck you think. Please note, we do have a semi-limited bandwidth, so please save them and delete once you are done.

Here is the process I'm using. We get all of our source video from a DV-R, which we actually purchased for Slash. ^_^ After that, I use a program like DVD Decrypter to yank the DVD to my HDD, then I use Gordian Knot to get the footage in .avi format. After that, I use Adobe Premier Pro 2 to edit the match vids. Simple, no capture card required.

I'm currently working on my masterwork stick. Carbon Fiber face, polished aluminum case, open on mini-hydrulics, super clean install with everything made into a wiring harness (Think of the Honda S2000 as a joystick.) Can't decide if I'm sticking with Happ P360 and Comp buttons or going Sanwa. I'll be sure to post up pics of that one when it's completed plus all the ones I'm making for the Kentucky GG crew. Lots of nice work in this thread. So many fine peices of ass-whoop.
